One aspect of the Halloween season which goes LARGELY unremarked:
Halloween is a time KNOWN for it celebrants dressing up as someone else.
Dressing up as someone else–as someone one PRETENDS to be–is also the occupation of many of the world’s CELEBRITIES and MOVIE STARS.
Can this be one of the reasons those people of the world so heartily celebrate a holiday where they pretend to be someone they are not?
Could it be one of the reasons so many of the glitterati supported the COVID-19 mask mandates when they began?
Isn’t it all just part of the Halloween–and other–“FUN!” one hears so much about, right?
Has anyone else noticed that with the COVID-19 ‘scare’ practically behind us–at least this is the way the world seems to be treating that once-heavily-promoted ‘dread disease’–that folks have largely taken to appearing in public WITHOUT their once-required face masks?
The COVID-19 face mask wasn’t so much as a way of pretending to be someone else as it was a method of the mask-wearing person pretending to “get with the program“.
NOW, after all of that pretending, masks are no longer needed.
Not that they worked, to begin with.
Now, NOT WEARING a mask shouts to the world, “See? I’ve had my shots and am no longer afraid of COVID-19!”
OR, it might just be someone PRETENDING they had anti-COVID shots?
All of this pretending goes hand-in-hand with Halloween being the holiday for pretenders.
ALL of which helps make COVID-19 the disease of Halloween.
Because Halloween and COVID-19 are BOTH for pretenders.
But only Halloween uses a mask or a costume to show the world who the pretenders are.
Right?
HAS the reader ever connected wearing a COVID-19 mask with any of the other MOSTLY undesirables who also wear masks?
It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
