God’s GREATEST gift to mankind may be one which most folks end up NOT using.
Of course, we’re referring to ETERNAL LIFE.
ALL men receive this great gift from God the moment they are born.
The righteous use their eternal life to take advantage of God’s love and protection for man.
The WICKED–the GREAT majority of mankind–use their eternal life as a way to endure unending torment and everlasting affliction.
Although God’s Word is VERY clear about the ultimate fate of the WICKED, the evil and the foolish, such men would rather trade their eternal reward AFTER this life is over for a few moments of pleasure in this present life.
“He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
–Revelation 21:7-8
This is a VERY, VERY poor trade.
However, most men are deceived and believe what they have been told from an early age.
And so, most men will end up burning forever in a lake of fire.
There are better ways to spend the rest of ETERNITY.
Has the reader spent any time thinking about how he would like to spend his eternity?
OR, has the reader hoped beyond hope that he will not have to concern himself with such a thing?
It is a simple choice: a relatively short time of righteousness here on earth OR, a relatively short time of wickedness, depravity and plenty.
The result of that choice determines where one will spend the rest of eternity AND what type of eternity that person can look forward to.
God’s gift to EVERY man is eternal life; but, it is up to EACH man how he will spend that eternity.
Once more: HAS the reader spent any time thinking about how he would like to spend his eternity?
It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
