One gets so used to being the object of disagreement, that it is a VERY surprising circumstance when someone not only AGREES with what you are saying, but adds a few useful points as well.
So it was that while driving in the car, a passenger not only AGREED with what was said, he WHOLEHEARTEDLY agreed.
IF there is a lesson to be learned from this little account, it is that taste is in the mouth of the taster: each person’s taste varies.
(Back to the discussion.)
The topic was food. The SPECIFIC topic was FAST food.
“Those burritos we had were pretty tasty, right?”
“Yeah, but they can make mud taste good anymore.”
“You got that right, but that burrito WAS pretty tasty.”
“You know, I’ve been thinking. I read somewhere that McDonald’s uses 50+ ingredients in their strawberry shakes and NONE of them are strawberries. So, that burger we’ve been eating might not even be a burger, you know?”
“Burgers USED to taste better, you know?”
“Yeah, but I’ve been thinking. They let the same guys who are selling something define what that something is. For instance, all of the fast food joints make a big deal out of serving “all-beef” hamburgers. But what does “all-beef” mean? “Beef” could mean something is made with pickles and wood chips.”
“You got that right. Burgers taste so blahhhhh. You know, they kinda taste like cardboard anymore.”
“Yeah, I think they have learned that if you serve something fried in oil and HOT, it will taste better.”
“You ever try to eat a McDonald’s french fry when it’s cold? They’re HORRIBLE!”
“So that’s why you get your fries HOT when you order them.”
“Just like that burrito we had. You know, it was mighty tasty.”
DOES the reader believe that those who concoct modern food are only in search of nutrition and tastiness?
It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
—1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
