For THOUSANDS of years, man understood that he was a created being.
Mostly, man understood this because he was TAUGHT from an early age of his creation (from God’s Word).
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”
–Genesis 1:26
Because man was taught he was a CREATED BEING, he understood that he was lower than his CREATOR, God.
And this was the way of men upon the earth for thousands of years.
NOT ONLY did man understand he was a created being, he understood his place in the hierarchy of creation, which was certainly BELOW his creator.
HOWEVER, MODERN man has been MOSTLY taught from an early age that he is an accident of chemical actions and reactions. That he is the product of some human sexual union before his birth.
NOT that that sexual union was the AGENT of his creation, but that that sexual union itself was his creator.
And so, modern man slowly–but surely–understood that he was autonomous and owed nothing to no one, including a creator in which modern man NO longer believed.
And so, because modern man believed himself to be a totally free person–independent from any creator but other humans–he slowly–but surely–became DECEIVED about his origins; about his place in the nature order of creation and about his lowly relationship with a vastly SUPERIOR CREATOR.
And this is how modern man came to believe that he could successfully wage war against his creator.
DOES the reader believe that he is “fearfully and wonderfully made”?
OR, does the reader believe that he is a creation of chance?
It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
