Man has been warned of coming disasters for thousands of years.
HOWEVER, during the end times, it seems as though the warnings to man fall on deaf ears.
Perhaps this is because the most acclaimed of the warnings come from God’s Word and the VAST majority of folks just don’t believe that source anymore.
BUT, perhaps there is another reason for the ignoring of plain words: perhaps end times man is WEARY of being warned.
The reader has, no doubt, heard the story of the little boy who cried ‘Wolf!’
As in the story, once folks discover that the warnings are just a bunch of words with NO proof or evidence behind them, they stop heeding those warnings.
God’s Word tells the results of an unheeded warning (as told by the prophet EZEKIEL).
“Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.”
–Ezekiel 33:1-6
IF one studies the account, one is struck by a people who are warned BUT WHO IGNORE THAT WARNING.
The result is that the people who ignored the warning and died, their blood was on their own heads.
But, a bit of FURTHER study prompts the question, “Why would anyone ignore a valid warning?”
Though the time referred to by Ezekiel is NOT during the end times, perhaps the CLEAR WARNINGS were ignored because the people grew weary of being warned?
Besides, the obvious question of “WHY would they do this?“, some thoughtful reflection will turn up MORE questions on this circumstance.
Perhaps the reader should devote some time to studying the circumstance and see what his study turns up?
DOES the reader CONSIDER the warnings he receives?
OR, does the reader believe that many warnings and dire news are only clickbait?
It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
