In military circles, there is a popular saying which goes, “We are always preparing for the LAST war.”
IF the above assertion is true–and MANY have decided it is–then could not the same be said of all the DOOMSDAY PREPPERS; indeed, of ALL who try to PHYSICALLY prepare for the last days?

OBVIOUSLY, the world has NEVER before experienced the God-created time period known as the end times.
SO, to try and prepare for the judgments and chaos which will mark those days, man has to resort to looking at times in his past which he believes might be similar.
BUT, there is none.
Regardless of man’s inflated opinion of his abilities, the end times are unique–and man CANNOT outsmart God (who has had CENTURIES to prepare what’s coming).
SO, again: in order to TRY to prepare for the end times, man is FORCED to look at times in his past and GUESS that that time is SIMILAR to the end times.
The ONLY ones who are REALLY prepared for the end times are the followers of Jesus Christ–and many of them will have to give up their lives in exchange for that winning preparation.
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
–Revelation 12:11
The Book of Revelation, the last book of God’s Word, details a LOT of good points to surviving (both physically and spiritually) the end times. The Book of Revelation is a VERY important book for the last days.
Otherwise, Jesus Christ would not have come back almost 65 years AFTER His resurrection, in order to give the information to the apostle, John, who wrote it down in Revelation.
Man CANNOT physically prepare for that which is basically NOT ABLE TO BE PREPARED FOR.
One BIG reason is that man has NEVER went through the time period of the last days and is “flying blind.”
Therefore, man has to depend upon the methods, information and warnings from other events from the past that he has GUESSED are somewhat similar.
DOES the reader believe he can outsmart God?
It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
Make Your Calling and Election Sure: End Times Survival
DOES the reader believe he is NOT saved?
Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation
