SOME topics need no or little introduction.
There is some confusion surrounding the ‘last days,’ however.
Much of the confusion has to do with the differences between the ‘end times’ and the ‘last days.’
Here’s an end to that confusion (though regular readers of ETPR should NOT be confused about the two).
THE END TIMES – Are the times between the first time Jesus walked the earth and His return.
Many times, the end times are often used when the person using the term clearly means ‘last days.’ This is true particularly of those who write for the churches.
THE LAST DAYS – Are the times RIGHT BEFORE the return of Jesus Christ to earth.
The last days will be filled–according to God’s Word–with chaos, confusion and events which have never before taken place.
Satan uses the end times to build his evil empire on earth.
The last days?
Not so much.
Satan uses those last days before the return of Jesus to snare more careless souls.
Though the church of Jesus Christ will NOT know defeat, Satan uses the end times to counterfeit that church so that he may take advantage of the unwary.
“When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Satan makes his greatest strides toward victory by GRADUALLY taking over ANY source of authority during the END TIMES. Science, the churches, the education system, the Corporate Media, entertainment, culture–Satan uses the end times to capture ALL sources of information which might contradict his lies.
Sometimes, it has taken HUNDREDS OF YEARS for the Father of Lies to seize control of a source of authority.
During the last days, Satan consolidates his control of earthly authority and uses it to attack God and His Son, Jesus Christ. This causes those who live upon the earth GREAT sorrow because Satan is a murderer and a liar.
“Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”
–Revelation 12:12
ANYTHING can and does happen during the end times.
Man comes face-to-face with his own poor choices during the last days–especially those who make fun of any who believe that we are living in the last days.
“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.”
–2PETER 3:3-4
HOPEFULLY, this will have cleared up any confusion between the ‘end times’ and the ‘last days.’
DID the reader think that there was little difference between using the ‘end times’ and using the ‘last days’ to describe the Time of Judgment?
It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
