The end times were specifically designed BY GOD HIMSELF to accomplish several purposes.
One of those purposes is to frighten all of those men who previously were paragons of acting as if NOTHING ever scared them.
This takes place because the last days before the arrival of Jesus back to earth are full of events which have NEVER taken place before and which have been consigned to the pile of events which never could happen BY THOSE WHO PRETEND TO BE FEARLESS.
The last days of the earth under the old management will be scary EVEN FOR THE FOLLOWERS OF JESUS.

God’s Word has something to say about how frightening the last days are.
“Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.”
–Luke 21:26
When times are good, men are brave to a fault.
HOWEVER, when times are unsettled, one man is as scared of the unknown as the next man.
Many men are EXCEEDINGLY brave and tall talkers when times are not so bad. These same men, however, are usually scared witless when times are bad.
The last days before Jesus comes back to earth will be chaotic and FRIGHTENING.
In the case of those days being SCARY, chalk one up for God.
HAS the reader ever invested much thought in how scary the last days will be?
OR, has the reader merely fooled himself by thinking, “I’ll be long gone before any of that happens.”?
It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
