Listening to someone rattle on about all of the ‘contingency plans’ (the plans and backup plans) they have made IN CASE times grow unsettled and ‘normal’ avenues are not working is a quick cure for ANY believers tempted to do the same.
Listening to the wonderful plans someone has made to help them through bad times is a good way to ‘fact check’ some of those plans. Once one steps back from an event he GREATLY cares about, it is easier to ‘poke holes’ in some else’s story (when that story is about that same event)–IF there are any holes to be poked.
No “Plan B” is needed when one places his WHOLE trust in the LORD.
Because so many moderns do NOT believe in God or Jesus or God’s Word, they are forced to rely on SECONDARY SOURCES which are NOT as reliable. These are usually man-centered sources, put forth by men and their schemes.
FOR EXAMPLE, when one does not rely on God to see him through treacherous times, he is FORCED to rely on himself or other men. God’s Word is replete with warnings about being in that circumstance.
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
–Proverbs 3:5
“Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.”

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
–Proverbs 14:12
NOW, something for EVERYONE to think about: there will be a LOT of folks who do NOT believe in God or Jesus. These folks will likely NOT change their minds because their minds have been blinded by God Himself. (Even if ‘renowned Bible teachers’ try to turn the God of 2CORINTHIANS 4:4 into Satan.)
“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
–2CORINTHIANS 4:4
(All one has to do to KNOW that the God referred to in 2CORINTHIANS 4:4 is God Almighty and NOT Satan is read Isaiah 45:5.)
“I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.”
–Isaiah 45:5-6
At any rate, a LOT of folks will not rely on God because they do not believe in God.
AND WHEN THEY REALIZE THEY HAVE MADE A SERIOUS MISTAKE?
It will likely be too late in the game to change sides–IF any desire to ‘change sides’ even exists.
This topic came about because of a recent freewheeling discussion about GOLD and SILVER and their VALUE as methods of cash and means of trading.
“You mean to tell me that the ones who have been planning this for CENTURIES do not have a clue about what to do if people hoard gold or silver? All they have to do is make it ILLEGAL to own gold (like the USA did during the GREAT DEPRESSION).
“Whatever a modern man can think up, Satan is already two steps ahead of him. A LOT of plans are going to fall through.”
And so, this is just a gentle reminder to readers that no matter what plans one might make to ensure his future well-being, they will NOT be enough IF they do not include God or Jesus.
Which is why a LOT of folks who make plans for their future will be disappointed by the results of those plans in the end times.
HAS the reader been caused anxiety by the unsettled nature of events?
HAS the reader made ANY plans because of that anxiety?
HAS the reader been TEMPTED to make ANY plans for the future in order to ease his anxiety?
It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?

DOES the reader believe he is NOT saved?
Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation
