One Must Have Faith in God to Best Survive the Last Days

Faith needs no proof

“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.“
–Mark 11:22-24

Over the past two weeks, a couple of questions were asked of this writer.

The questions were worded differently but both were of the same TYPE of question.

The two questions (as best can be remembered):

“What are you gonna do if what you believe is not true?”

“What if Jesus doesn’t come back?  What if you’re just waiting around for nothing?”

BOTH questions were really questions about one’s faith in God’s Word: ultimately, faith in God and in Jesus.

The short answer is that one either HAS faith or one has NO FAITH.  It cannot be both.

IF one has faith, then one is a believer.

IF one has NO faith, then one is a faithless sight-walker.

BUT, one thing NOT considered by the faithless, who believe that faith is a substitute for evidence and proof.  Faith IS evidence.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
–Hebrews 11:1

So, IF one has faith, then one HAS evidence–just not the kind of evidence the faithless desire.

The wicked modern wants everyone to believe that those with faith in God operate by guesswork and their feelings alone.

This is NOT true. But because the wicked have NO experience with FAITH, they are at a loss to explain how someone can follow after something in which THEY (those with little or no faith) do not believe.

Oh, the two questions at the opening of this piece?

They both were REALLY about faith–and faith requires no explanations to the faithless, who simply do not understand ANY of the points and precepts of such a discussion.

Both questions were answered.

BUT, neither question was answered in a manner which satisfied the one who posed the question, who was without faith.

(OF COURSE, the questions asked were used to illustrate points the questioner previously did not understand. So SOME good did come about from their being asked.)

WHAT does the reader believe about FAITH?

DOES the reader believe that FAITH is little more than someone’s thoughts on a matter?

It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

DOES the reader believe he is saved?

DOES the reader believe he is NOT saved?

Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
