The reader may already know this IF he has been a regular reader of ETPR, but others may NOT know.
During the last days, there are many different events, entities and happenings which provoke BONE-CHILLING ACHES of FEAR.
Some types of FEAR are perfectly acceptable for the believer and follower of Jesus. MOST, however, are NOT. Helping the reader sort through these various kinds of FEAR is the purpose of this little piece.
It’s not like ETPR has not previously addressed this subject: we have. However, when FEAR has the reader in its icy grip, it pays to be sure.

BASICALLY, there are TWO types of fear for the reader to remember.
There is a FEAR of GOD–which is perfectly right and good for a follower of Jesus to possess.
THEN, there is a FEAR OF EVERYTHING ELSE THAT IS NOT GOD–particularly a fear of man and what man can do to the followers of Jesus.
As Jesus Himself succinctly put it:
“And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.”
–Luke 12:4-5
SO, the reader should remember: the FEAR of the LORD is good; the FEAR of MAN (or anyone who is telling man what to do; i.e., Satan) is BAD.
“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.”
–Proverbs 29:25
A fear of ANYTHING other than the ONE-WHO-CREATED-ALL-AND-WHO-CONTROLS-ALL demonstrates a lack of true faith in the power of God. This is a serious flaw in believers. In fact, those who are fearful are marked for ETERNAL TORMENT.
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
–Revelation 21:8
What the reader should remember above all else from this reminder: FEAR GOD, NOT MAN.
IF the reader keeps this foremost in his mind, he will go a long way toward securing his future when others are falling by the wayside because of their fear.
DOES the reader exhibit worry (or any other signs of FEAR) about the future?
It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
