Over the past NEARLY TEN YEARS, a LOT of words have been used to express the reasons the reader will KNOW he is in the last days before Jesus Christ returns to earth.
MANY of those words had to do with the things which the reader will MISS during the end times, as that time will be a time of general shortage and want–as well as chaos, unrest and anti-routine: ALL of which are indicative and contribute to times of need.
IF the reader spends his free time taking in the ENTERTAINMENT (movies, magazines, TV shows, etc.) the world offers then it is VERY likely that he will experience a LOSS of that ENTERTAINMENT during the end times.
IF the reader enjoys a nice, leisurely drive along a highway during time off during a weekend, then it is VERY LIKELY that the reader will soon miss out on this small joy of life.
IF the reader whiles away the time playing video or computer games (and immersed in the fantasy worlds created by such games), then he might determine it is the last days because he no longer has access to those things which make him happy–or at least, forget his troubles for a while.
Perhaps the reader is someone who spends his free time submerged into the small joys which life offers (the loves, the food, the sheer JOY of fulfilling a daily routine), then when those small reminders of life are no longer available, then he might look around for other signs of the last days.

It is the last group mentioned which we will address today: the ones who derive pleasure from the small joys of life.
Sometimes, these SMALL JOYS take the form of getting something for someone as a gift which is EXACTLY RIGHT for that person and knowing that the person will ENJOY their present–MAYBE even think of the one who got it for them, huh?
Sometimes, those SMALL JOYS take the form of something which does NOT merit much thought when times are good–clean teeth after a good brushing and rinse; soft, warm pillows and blankets to assist one in getting a good night’s sleep; OR a nice, warm cup of hot cocoa on a cold morning.
A person can build a very happy, very content life from the SMALL JOYS one finds laying about.
UNFORTUNATELY, small joys will be in short supply (according to God’s Word) during the last days. So, a person who was perfectly content with the ‘little things’ might not have much reason to be content AT ALL.
No doubt the reader will be able to bring to mind a NUMBER of small conveniences which make his life a little more worth living.
Like…?
CAN the reader think of any ‘small joys or conveniences’ he NOW enjoys?
It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
—1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
