Is the Reader DAILY Looking For Signs of the Last Days OR Is the Reader Like the Rest of Mankind?

MANY ARE LOOKING: For signs of the end times

“A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.”

Although MANY, when Jesus first walked the earth, were seeking for signs, Jesus said that the ONLY sign they would be given would be ‘the sign of the prophet Jonas.’

TODAY, MANY sit on the cusp of the last days, when Jesus will return. And their minds would be eased by a clear sign of the times we now live.

The wise reader would peruse God’s Word for the signs which WILL be given.

“And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony.”
–Luke 21:7-13

After receiving information about the signs of the end times, the wise reader would THEN look for these signs DAILY.

MANY will NOT notice these clear signs because they will be depending on Satan’s Mouthpiece for their daily information–and Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) will be telling them, “Hey!  Don’t pay any attention to that: that’s no big deal.  And now, back to the smooth sounds of KISS97 Jazz.”

SO, a few of the signs which will be given: false Christs, wars, rumours of war, earthquakes in divers places, great signs in heaven–and those are just for STARTERS.

BUT, those are the signs ACCORDING TO GOD’S WORD.

IS the wise reader watching for those things?

“And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”
–Mark 13:37

OR, is the reader like the most of the rest of mankind (and consciously IGNORING those signs)?

“NONE of that will happen while I’m alive!”

The answer will likely determine whether the reader partakes in TORMENT or BLESSING for ETERNITY.

IS the reader watching?

It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

The Last Days are ESPECIALLY Terrifying For the Wicked

The last days  before the return of Jesus Christ to earth will be scary because those times are FULL of the unfamiliar and the unsettled.

The GREAT MAJORITY of mankind is WICKED.

Because the WICKED have to depend on themselves and other, fallible men for comfort, the wicked will be TERRIFIED by the surrounding sounds and sights of the unfamiliar and the unsettled.

The FEW who are declared ‘righteous’ by God?

They may be frightened by the unfamiliarity of it all, BUT they have the protection and assurances of a God in which they, not only believe, but which they WORSHIP as GOD.

Therefore, the sights and sounds of the last days may be scary BUT they will not prove to be TERRIFYING.

And make NO mistake: God WILL protect and preserve those He has declared ‘righteous.’

“But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.”
–Psalm 37:39

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
–Romans 8:28

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
–Hebrews 13:5

“And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
–2TIMOTHY 4:18

The believer believes the promises of God because he knows the Word of God is TRUTH.

The wicked have NO such assurances.

And so, the wicked are forced to rely on themselves, other unreliable men and the various schemes of man, for their protection in a time when protection is most needed.

Which is a PRIMARY reason the wicked are especially TERRIFIED of the happenings of the last days.

“But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.”
–Proverbs 1:33

IS the reader prepared for the last days?

Disbelief is Part of God’s End Times Plan

GOD'S END TIMES PLAN

It can be understood IF a lot of folks question the purposes of this piece.

“Why would God build disbelief into his plan for the end times?”

HOWEVER, IF one believes in an all-powerful, all-knowing God (which He is), then one has to believe the arguments this piece makes.

God invented time.  Because God is EVERYWHERE, He inhabits ALL points of time: past, present, future. God KNOWS what the future holds because He has already seen the future.  He has been there and KNOWS for sure what the future contains.

This is a primary reason why God’s Word is totally true concerning what it says about the future.

There are NO guesses.

There is NO speculation.

There is NO conjecture.

Because He inhabits ALL points of time, God has been to (what man calls ‘the future’) and KNOWS what will take place. God’s Word confirms this.

“My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.”
–Psalm 139:15-16

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
–Jeremiah 1:5

SO, God KNOWS EVERYTHING that will happen during the end times and the last days. Because God controls EVERYTHING, he KNOWS that there will be disbelief during that time.

BUT, because He KNOWS, He is able to make iron-clad plans: plans which do NOT get altered by unforeseen events.

There are NO unforeseen events with God, because God sees ALL.

WHY did God plan that unbelief would be in the last days?

1 – He’s God: He can do ANYTHING He wants.

2- He OBVIOUSLY saw a NEED for some disbelief. What this need is would be the focus of MANY heated discussions.

3- Perhaps God uses disbelief to TEST and TRY his people?

4- WHATEVER His purposes, the reader should NOT question God’s decisions.  God sees further and KNOWS what will happen. The reader can only GUESS.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
–Isaiah 55:8-9

A thought: ALL men who question God’s judgment do NOT exhibit complete FAITH in the LORD. The fate of such men will be determined by a God in which they do NOT believe.

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
–Revelation 21:8

ACCOMPANIED BY ONLY GOD

As the follower of Jesus traverses the end times, walking to and fro amongst the scourges of the end times earth, he should be comforted by the knowledge that he is NOT on his jaunt alone.

The follower of Jesus walks hand-in-hand with the most POWERFUL being in the universe: The Creator of ALL, God Almighty.

AND, God promises protection to ALL of His people who are chosen by Him.

God does NOT want His people to be FEARFUL–and with GOOD reason.

Being FEARFUL when one is under the protection of the most POWERFUL being known is NOT wise.  In fact, being FEARFUL when under the protection of God is saying to God, “I do NOT believe you!  I do NOT believe what you say!”

Which is one reason God punishes the fearful like He does others who are more UPFRONT about their UNBELIEF.

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

There are MANY reasons not to FEAR when accompanied by God.  God’s Word provides ammo for the believer.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
–2TIMOTHY 1:7

Being FEARFUL when one is a follower of Jesus Christ means that the follower does NOT believe he is ‘perfect in love.’

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”
–1JOHN 4:18

The end times world is an unfamiliar, scary place–UNLESS one is protected by the ONE WHO CREATED THAT SCARY END TIMES WORLD.

When one is accompanied by God–the MOST POWERFUL FORCE IN THE UNIVERSE–one should be COMPLETELY fear-free.

IF God cannot protect the reader–and He is ready and able to do so–then there is NO protection to be found.

DOES the reader believe he has the ULTIMATE PROTECTION?

Who Condemns the End Times Man?

WHO CONDEMNS?

“The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD.”
–Proverbs 19:3

During the last days, man is surrounded by the worker of iniquity.

“Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me. There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.”

During the last days, man is also beset by Satan.

Man has his troubles.

Man has his troublers.

But–regardless of the ones who clamor for his head–man will only need look in the mirror to find his BIGGEST accuser.

Man will condemn HIMSELF during the end times.

It makes NO difference if those who hate you surround you on ALL sides.

It makes little difference if those who encourage you with PAGAN ideas and idols make you feel more comfortable during the upheavals of the end times.

It matters not IF you are seized by a fit of introspective reflection on your misdeeds.

God will need NO ONE else to condemn each man but that man himself.

“Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with God.”
–Romans 2:6-11

“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.”

What is the MOST Important Thing One Can Do During the Last Days?

Of ALL the things one can do during the last days, there is ONE thing which stands out as MUCH MORE IMPORTANT to do than all of the rest of one’s choices.

DECEPTION: What to do?

There are a FEW passages in God’s Word, which MIGHT be labeled ‘difficult (to understand)’ by those who do not STUDY God’s Word.

ALL three of the following have to do, not only with the followers of Jesus, but with the end times as well.

Let’s take a look at those verses and see if we may arrive at a suitable answer for the following THREE questions.

1- What is the ‘perseverance of the saints?’

Some ‘esteemed teachers’ from the churches claim that ‘perseverance of the saints’ means the same thing as ‘eternal security.’

OTHERS have said, “Not so fast.”

The teachers from the churches teach that once a person comes to God, and receives God’s Holy Spirit to dwell in that person, then he CANNOT lose his salvation and will ALWAYS be a member of the kingdom of heaven.

ONE BIG problem with equating “perseverance of the saints’ with ‘eternal security’ is that a NUMBER of verses which seemingly contradict the esteemed teachers are NOT reconciled to present a harmonious, non-contradictory whole.

They point to some Bible verses which appear to back up their contentions, especially Jesus’ words in John 10:27-29.

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”

These church folk ALSO use Romans 8:38-39 to support their arguments.

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

FIRST, let’s look at an accepted meaning of PERSEVERANCE.

: continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition : the action or condition or an instance of persevering: steadfastness

From looking at the very plain meaning of perseverance, it appears clear that the ‘perseverance of the saints’ is the EFFORT TO OVERCOME ANY DIFFICULTIES WHILE DOING ANY WORK GIVEN BY GOD.

And God’s Word has MUCH to say about OVERCOMING–specifically, those who OVERCOME the odds during the end times.

“He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”
–Revelation 21:7

“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”
–Revelation 3:21

2-What is the ‘PATIENCE of the saints?’

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”
–Revelation 14:12

This one appears to be a little easier to understand.

The PATIENCE OF THE SAINTS–without reading anything into it–seems to refer to the PATIENCE OF THE SAINTS.

This patience allows the saints to ‘get through’ the tough times of the tribulation period and the persecution of Satan and his workers of iniquity.

The ‘patience of the saints’ is ALSO referred to  in the preceding chapter of Revelation in Revelation 13:10 and helps to confirm this simple answer.

“He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.”
–Revelation 13:10

The follower of Jesus is to trust in God and allow the LORD to exact ALL and ANY vengeance for wrongs committed.

“Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”
–Romans 12:19

“See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.”
–1THESSALONIANS 5:15

God’s people MUST exhibit PATIENCE when times get tough.

3- What is the ‘faith of the saints?’

Perhaps this is the EASIEST of the three questions to answer.

“He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.”
–Revelation 14:12

Above all else, when the going gets tough during the end times, the follower of Jesus is to trust Jesus and His Father.

FAITH IN JESUS–though there be NO other evidence of this faith–is the defining quality of those who follow Jesus and His Father during the end times.

That faith means that the believer will TRUST and put his FAITH in Jesus–and His Father–to right all wrongs and to deal with the wicked in a just and timely manner during the end times.

That faith means that the believer will NOT ‘take the law into his own hands‘ and start swinging at those he would like to see put down.

It is during this difficult time that the follower of Jesus should recall the LORD’s own words as set down in Matthew 10:28

“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

When justice and vengeance are sure, then the faith of the saints is not only easier to observe, it is an easier commandment of God to obey.

And these are our BEST answers to three questions which we have been asked more than once over the years.

HOW MANY of the three questions did the reader know the answer for?

It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

DOES the reader believe he is saved?

DOES the reader believe he is NOT saved?

Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation
