The High Drama of Counterfeit Christians

drama

IF one frequents the buildings called “the churches,” one has heard dozens, possibly HUNDREDS, of stories told by the church folk about when they were “born again.

“There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

“Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again”
–John 3:1-7

Because they have not experienced the spiritual rebirth, the tares CANNOT give an account of how that happened.

They CAN, however, provide details of how they IMAGINED such an occurrence came about.

From hearing all of the “born again” stories, the listener will have gathered a great many of these details–many of them repeated by more than one teller.

“It was the 2nd of November 1983 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon when I gave my heart to the Lord.”

“I’m on fire for the Lord! I’ve been on fire for the Lord ever since I was born again!”

“Let me tell you about my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I used to be a witch until Jesus saved this wretch one glorious day!”

Can the reader think of any reason these details may not be true?

AND there is PLENTY of drama, in the form of dramatic conversion stories.

The reader should beware of all dramatic conversion stories.

Weeping, crying, being overcome with emotion, grand tales of the Holy Spirit and God’s conviction, great bursts of energy: the Bible is silent on all of this attending someone who is reborn spiritually.

However, the heathen literature is full of similar stories when referring to having been “overcome by the divine” (becoming demon possessed).

MORE: Higher Power, the Divine and End Times Deception

Can the reader think of any reason dramatic conversion stories are so popular in the churches?

Jesus Christ told a parable about the tares (a sort of weed which looks very much like wheat).

“Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

“Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
–Matthew 13:24-30, 36-42

And so, many–not all, but a great many–of the end times tares have gathered in those buildings we call the “churches.”

The tares in the churches LOOK like Christians, but they are merely clever look-alikes: they talk the talk.

Some do not know any better: they are deceived.

Others DO know better: they are deceived AND deceiving.

ALL require the prayers of the believer if there is any hope they will be truly born again.

In the meantime, the reader not only should beware of the conversion stories told by the tares; the reader should be aware of ANY story told by the tares.

HAS the reader ever heard any dramatic stories about someone being born again?

WHAT did the reader think about such tales?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

Counterfeit Christians are everywhere–especially in America. In the times in which we live–in a country once called the United States of America–the tares outnumber the wheat.

There are a variety of ways to identify these pretenders, whom the Bible calls “tares.”

These are those who most frequently inhabit the buildings we call “the churches.”

1- One sign: They will concentrate on the things of this world. What they talk about, the focus of conversations, the humor that they use: it will all pertain to this world and the things of this world. Many times, they will be masters of the art of “small talk.”

2- In dozens of little ways, they will avoid keeping the commandments of God. They will also have hundreds of reasons why they do not obey God.  They will almost never say it so plainly: they will put it much more “politely.”

“Who can keep all of those rules straight?  I sure can’t.  I try but I just can’t.”

“He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”
1 John 2:4

3- They love the things of this world.  They not only love them, they are fascinated by them.  They covet and desire the things of this world.

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

The Atheist, the Counterfeit Christian and Why Atheists are So Angry

Why are atheists so angry?

“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. “
–Psalm 14:1

Consider the atheist: in a world which is antichrist to the its core and only honors God with its lips, one would think he would be EXTREMELY happy–at least in the USA where Christianity has always been more of a brand name than a way of life.

But in spite of their worldview having been largely endorsed by gnosticism, science and philosophy (all pagan religions), at best, the more upbeat atheists appear to be little more than jaded, resigned and blasé.

Mostly though, atheists appear angry.

How can this be?

In practice if not in theory, the atheist’s canon seems to have won out.

Perhaps it is because the political world, while adhering to a strictly anti-Jesus policy pretends otherwise.

Except for the libertarians.

Actually, an atheist should make the best libertarian: both detest authority. And so, a great many libertarians are atheists.  And vice versa.

But then, that’s not quite true: atheists, like libertarians, only detest authority WHEN THEY’RE NOT THE ONES IN CHARGE.

The Soft Totalitarianism of Principled Libertarians

Once the atheist has gotten control, he is much like any other human with a self-interest. The Soviet experiment was proof enough of that (IF one believes the official party line that the Soviet Union was a non-religious, secular state).

However, one would suspect that some principled atheists (“principled” here being used as another way of saying “unthinking” or “a slave to predetermined talking points” ) would forgo libertarianism altogether in favor of a more natural philosophy: anarchy.

In  Albert Pike‘s famous letter outlining his 3-World War plan to usher in the beginnings of an antichrist one-world government, Pike was clear that the plan was to destroy both atheists and Christians alike.

“We shall unleash the nihilists and the atheists and we shall provoke a great social cataclysm which in all its horror will show clearly to all nations the effect of absolute atheism; the origins of savagery and of most bloody turmoil. Then everywhere, the people will be forced to defend themselves against the world minority of the world revolutionaries and will exterminate those destroyers of civilization and the multitudes disillusioned with Christianity whose spirits will be from that moment without direction and leadership and anxious for an ideal, but without knowledge where to send its adoration, will receive the true light through the universal manifestation of the pure doctrine of Lucifer brought finally out into public view. A manifestation which will result from a general reactionary movement which will follow the destruction of Christianity and Atheism; both conquered and exterminated at the same time.”

While the Bible says a great many Christians will be martyred, the church of Jesus Christ will not be destroyed.

“…upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Matthew 16:18

Perhaps this is why atheists are angry?

THE COUNTERFEIT CHRISTIAN AND THE ATHEIST

Atheists

In the times in which we live, those who inhabit the apostate churches have a strangely symbiotic relationship with atheists (as well as with satanists and homosexuals): the false churches and their counterfeit Christians NEED atheists.

Without the atheist (and the homosexual and satanist), to whom would the counterfeit Christian feel morally superior?

Without the atheist, the counterfeit Christian comes face-to-face with the uncomfortable fact HE is an enemy of God.

“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”
–James 4:4

There is no greater friend of the world than the counterfeit Christian.

Though many pew-sitters see atheism as the ultimate rejection of God, it is not.   Atheists bear a heavy burden: to have one’s entire philosophical outlook defined by one’s opponents is ultimately self-defeating.

This has to be terribly frustrating for the thinking atheist–and atheists, like many scientists, define themselves as those who substitute “reason” for “faith.”

However, atheism, like evolutionism, requires a GREAT DEAL of faith to believe what they believe.

Ultimately, atheism IS a religion, with all of the duties of religion without any of the comforts.

No wonder so many atheists are angry atheists.

IS the reader angry?

Whether they admit it or not, atheists have a god.

Self.

HAS he been indoctrinated with lies against the truth?

Be angry no longer.

COUNTERFEIT CHRISTIANS: Do Not Believe the Word of God

The Bible says...I don't believe it!

“God is not a man, that he should lie”
–Number 23:19

The end times Church of the Tares is full of  lying spirits of deception, counterfeit Christians, false doctrines, ravenous wolves in the pulpit, demonic deceptions, antichrist deceivers and the occasional false convert.

The Bible warned it would be so.

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.”
–2 Timothy 3:1

One way to tell the counterfeit from the true believer: does the person believe God’s Word? Many say they do in a general way, but when it comes to specifics, they do not.

For example, some months ago at a Bible study, the discussion turned to 2 Timothy 3:12.

“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”

When this verse was brought up, the person leading the Bible study looked incredulous and said,

“You mean to tell me that a farmer in America 100 years ago suffered persecution for being a Christian? I DON’T BELIEVE IT!”

Where does the discussion go after someone in a pulpit declares the Word of God to be false?

EXAMPLE #2 – A new person was introduced. The introduction went something like this:

“This is Joe So-and-so. He was a regular here five or six years ago and now he’s come back!”

Jim So-and-so continued:

“I was a born again, tongue-talking, Holy Ghost-baptized believer. But I was a backslider and couldn’t stay out of the bars. But it got old and now I’ve seen the light and I’m back!”

It was not mentioned that “backsliding” is a concept foreign to the New Testament. Backsliding is only referred to prior to the once-and-for-all sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the subsequent indwelling of the Holy Spirit in believers.

When 2 Peter 2:20-21 and Hebrews 10:26-29 was brought up (“if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins“), Jim So-and-So loudly exclaimed

“Well, I certainly don’t believe that!”

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.”
–Hebrews 6:4-6

“For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.”
–2 Peter 2:20-21

“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?”
–Hebrews 10:26-29

NOTE: God’s mercy is NOT to be trifled with. This is is such an important truth, it is included not once, not twice but THREE TIMES in the New Testament: so there will be NO MISTAKE; NO EXCUSES. And it is not only a single verse, it is several verses ALL making the same declaration: man walks away from the only salvation available to him through the mercy of Jesus Christ AT HIS OWN RISK.

And we do know that some will walk away.

“Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.”
–Matthew 13:5,20-21

But again, when someone declares the Word of God to be false (particularly a church-goer), it pretty much ends the discussion.

The best for Jim So-and-so which one could hope was that he was mistaken about once being a born again Christian.

“He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.”
–John 8:47

Indignant and Offended: Real Christians do Not Dismiss God’s Word

NOTE: There are NO conflicting Scripture. There are NO contradictions. IF the reader believes a contradiction exists, he has not reconciled those Scriptures, for NONE EXIST.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
–2 Timothy 2:15

The true Christian knows the Bible is God’s Word. He knows it is truth. The counterfeit does not know the truth because he does not know God. Because he does not have the Spirit of God, the tare cannot discern between the things of God and the cunning counterfeit.

If it looks good to him, he assumes it will look good to the true Christian.

One way to spot the counterfeit: he DOES NOT believe the Word of God. He DOES believe antichrist deceivers.

Sadly, he is himself deceived. Though he traffics in deceit and deceives others, he himself labors under a heavy burden of deception which he cannot detect.

“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
–2 Timothy 3:13

That he believes this deception to be the truth is the sad thing. As he deceives others, he believes himself to be a possessor of the hidden truth. Sadly, he is more deceived than the ones to which he lies.

Wrapping himself in the things of deceit, the deceitful worker may look genuine, but his love of the lie betrays him.

God’s Word is the truth.

No matter how clever, the counterfeit will eventually deny God’s Word: either by word or deed or his ungodly associations.

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
–John 17:17

For those who CLAIM they want to know the truth, it’s put up or shut up time.

And that time grows short.

Those Who Ignore God’s Word: End Times Survival

IGNORING GOD'S WORD: A sign of a counterfeit.
IGNORING GOD’S WORD: A sign of a counterfeit.

“We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.”
1 John 4:6

“They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.”
1 John 4:5

One of the most puzzling situations this writer encountered as a new Christian was the utter contempt for God’s Word in the churches.

Men who preached from the pulpits, those who taught and those who claimed to be evangelists all dismissed or outright ignored any Scriptures which they could not answer. There was not even an attempt at reconciling Scriptures which didn’t agree with their ungodly stands.

As this writer grew in the Lord, this situation became not only puzzling but disturbing.

“How could someone who claimed to be of God casually dismiss God’s Word?”

1 John 4:6-7 explains how those people in the churches could trample on God’s Word.

“They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

One of the ways for the true believer to pick up on counterfeits in these times in which we live.

Jesus said:

“Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
John 18:37

“He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.”
John 8:47

Just another bit of preparation necessary for the believer wishing to survive the end times.

Modern Church Revival: Sideshows for Satan, part 2

COUNTERFEIT REVIVALS
COUNTERFEIT REVIVALS

COUNTERFEIT REVIVALS

TO RECAP: From Part 1:

Modern-day “revivals” feature lots of singing, lots of emotion and very little–if any–salvation (as demonstrated by fruits of repentance).

“Revivals” in the apostate churches focus on emotions.

PART 2

The season is upon us for the flesh-pleasing get-togethers the worldly apostate churches label “revivals.” Several aspects of these “carnival shows for Satan” were touched upon a few days ago (Man-Manufactured Revivals).

PART 1: Modern Church Revival: Sideshows for Satan

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
Hebrews 11:6

Without faith it is impossible to please God.  But the satanic sideshows called “revivals” traffic, not in faith, but in things which can be heard, seen, felt and known through the senses.  There is no faith needed when sight is used.

“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”
2 Corinthians 5:7

Promises of the lame walking, the blind recovering their sight, the deaf hearing: people walking by faith don’t need signs to “confirm” their faith.  In Jesus’ day, the Pharisees (who operated totally through sight) DID need signs and miracles.

“But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:”
Matthew 12:39

And now, the apostate churches have come full circle back to the Pharisees: they also have no faith. There is no faith operating at an event where the audience is expecting physical signs, wonders and miracles. In fact, faith operates when one cannot see physical signs.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. “
Hebrews 11:1

Perhaps the worst part of this picture is the army of sight-walkers who follow the nationally-known faith healers on their nationwide tours, hoping that their faithlessness will be rewarded by a miracle.

And of course, the apostates call their sight-walking hunger for signs and miracles “faith”–and the smiling wolves in the pulpits are all about promoting, pandering to and confirming such faithless “faith.”

Those hawking the apostate “revivals” which promote/promise “miracles” are paving the way for the end times man of sin. Because the churches are totally apostate, they will worship the dragon (believing Satan to be God Almighty); because the churches are faithless, they will succumb to the allure of supernatural signs and lying wonders and miracles–all courtesy of the dragon [Satan] and the man of sin.

Because it has no truth, the whole world will be deceived by the miracles of the dragon.

All mankind–whose names are not written in the Lamb’s book of life–will fall prey to the deception.

Mankind is being prepared today for the supernatural deceptions of the not-so-distant future.

In buildings known as churches.

At faithless side shows called “revivals.”

WHAT CHURCHES CALL REVIVALS: Sideshows for Satan.

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before.”
Matthew 24:24

“And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,”
2 Thessalonians 2:8-9

“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast;”
Revelation 13:11,13-14

“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.”
Revelation 16:13-14

“And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.”
Revelation 19:20

Those in the pulpits are part of Satan’s priesthood. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the satanic sideshows the apostate churches refer to as “revivals.”

THE GOSPEL

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;  By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
1 Corinthians 15:1-4

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16

Indignant and Offended: Real Christians do Not Dismiss God’s Word

Indignant-2-Stuart-Miles-FDP-ETPR

INDIGNANT AND OFFENDED

Real Christians do not ignore or dismiss God’s Word.

However, apostate pretenders, tares and counterfeits have no problem ignoring inconvenient Scripture.

A conversation can sometimes serve as a reminder of this.  So it was with a recent conversation.

Pretend Christians fall into predictable patterns when confronted with Bible verses which they cannot answer. The usual pattern seems to be:

  1. Ignore the Bible verse.
  2. Dismiss the verse by claiming that it is “symbolic imagery” or that “it comes from a part of the Bible not meant to be understood” or some other unbiblical excuse.
  3. Quote another verse which has nothing to do with the one ignored. Any verse will do.
  4. Attack the person who originally brought up the unanswered Bible verse.
  5. Finally, act indignant and offended as an excuse to end the conversation about the Scripture. Further drama can be achieved by leaving the room.

It has happened so many times in just the way described…

“And then shall many be offended,”
Matthew 24:10

End Time Quote: Indignation

Once more: real Christians do not ignore or dismiss God’s Word.

When someone does this, it’s a tip off to their true allegiance.
