Fearing the God of Love

love

“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”
–1JOHN 4:7-8

“God is love.”

The deceived world–particularly those in the churches–relentlessly repeat “God is love.”

Like Satan, who repeats God’s Word without understanding it, the deceived world gets it all wrong.

God Almighty is Not a Pagan Love God

WHY would those who do not know God pretend to know His attributes?

Mostly because it serves their purposes.

Make no mistake: God IS love.

But God is NOT ONLY love: He is so much more.

“God is love.”

The world loves to repeat this phrase.

Perhaps the worldly will repeat it as they face judgment?

Fear God.

The world mocks and disputes this clearly-stated command from God’s Word because, again, it serves the world’s purposes.

The world, like Satan, does not understand God’s Word.

The world will finally understand “God is love” when it understands “Fear God.

And not a moment before.

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”
–Proverbs 9:10

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
–Proverbs 1:7

DOES the reader believe that God is primarily about LOVE, to the exclusion of all other traits?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

Forget Satan: Fear God

Forget Big Brother: God Almighty is watching you

The authorities–and media–of this world never grow tired of trying to frighten moderns with their many scary stories of doom, war, scarcity and/or the unknown.

OR who is watching/spying on them.

Even Satan (the dragon) spying on men is used to frighten them. BUT, most of the stories one hears are the stories of man (and/or man’s inventions) watching them; using surveillance; spying on them.

The CIA.

Google.

Drones.

The NSA.

Facebook.

The computer.

Big Brother.

Practically all of the world’s spooky stories have their basis in the fear of man or man’s terrifyingly scary stories.

But man SHOULD fear only one thing: God Almighty.

Forget Satan and his scary stories (which seem to grow more numerous by the day): Fear God.

“Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”
–Ecclesiastes 12:13

MORE: MANY Fear Man; FEW Fear God

Which reminds one of a long-ago conversation concerning Proverbs 10:27.

“The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.”
–Proverbs 10:27

Someone listed the number of worldly, obviously-evil men who had lived fairly long lives–as if this somehow invalidated Proverbs 10:27.

One reply was a question: “Doesn’t God know how much the years of the wicked were shortened?”

But what ended the conversation was “Maybe those evil men lived lives they WISHED had been shortened?!?

MORE: Fear God and Live

Fear God.

Not Satan.

“And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.”
–Luke 12:4-5

Not man.

Not the inventions or creations of man.

Not man’s scary stories.

“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.”
–Proverbs 29:25

HAS the reader been very concerned about being spied upon?

DOES the reader often wonder what he can do about such surveillance?

HAS the reader tried the solutions of man in order to achieve peace of mind?

Fear of God Vs No Fear of God’s Judgment: Salvation Or Destruction

Fear of God vs No Fear of Judgment: Salvation vs Destruction

“By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.”
–Proverbs 22:4

There are MANY Bible verses which depict the advantages of possessing a fear of the LORD.

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
–Proverbs 1:7

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”
–Proverbs 9:10

“The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.”
–Psalm 19:9

“The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.”
–Proverbs 10:27

In fact, the Book of Proverbs is full of such verses, which detail the advantages of fearing God.

On the other hand, there are also a great many Bible verses about what happens to those who choose to ignore the warnings in God’s Word and place their trust (and fear) in other things.

“Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.”
–Psalm 40:4

“It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”
–Psalm 118:8

“He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool”
–Proverbs 28:26

“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.”
–Proverbs 29:25

MANY Fear Man; FEW Fear God

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
–Romans 3:10,12,16-18

It is important to note that “fear of the LORD” means having a FEAR of God’s judgment BEFORE that judgment looms in front of man.

The workers of iniquity who inhabit the churches try to corrupt God’s Word by claiming that a fear of the LORD means having a righteous awe of God’s majesty. We can know this is false by scripture in both the New and Old Testament.

It is clear that a fear of the LORD means exactly that: a FEAR of the LORD and His judgments.

“Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.”
–Isaiah 8:13

“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
–Matthew 10:28

In Matthew, Jesus uses the word “afraid” when speaking of a fear of the LORD. Isaiah uses the word “dread.” Both words show that fear of the LORD means a FEAR of the LORD.

Neither word can be connected to “awe.”

God’s Word also instructs that the wicked are made whole by acquiring a fear of the LORD.

“By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.”
–Proverbs 16:6

In fact, one of the main differences between believers and the wicked is a fear of the LORD.

ALL men will experience a fear of the LORD, either while in the body or right before judgment. Choosing to fear the LORD while still on this earth brings salvation; denying there will be any judgment will result in a fear of the LORD right before that judgment takes place which was so strongly denied.

Some of the wicked insist there is no God. By this denial, the wicked think to escape judgment.

“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.”
–Psalm 14:1

“But I really thought there was no God!”

Each man has a choice to make, regardless of what one may claim.

That choice is: to FEAR God and live or to NOT fear God and suffer destruction.

No wonder Satan and his followers work overtime to undermine a fear of the LORD.

“The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.”
–Proverbs 14:27

DOES the reader have a healthy fear of the LORD?

DOES the reader believe man and Satan that God is NOT to be feared?

MANY Fear Man; FEW Fear God

There is no fear of the Lord

“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.”
–Proverbs 29:25

THE FEAR OF MAN

There is a fear in the land of the free.

It is a fear of man.

Even in areas once considered “safe” there is a fear of opening one’s door to strangers.

It is a fear of man which has seeped into the mind of man across a land once priding itself (pride is a sin!) on its fearlessness.

OF COURSE, much of this fear comes from the constant drone of the Corporate Media.

A fearful people are a people much easier to rule.

There are several ways the reader can know that fear walks the land.

One way is the declaration of the Bible:  the wicked are a fearful people.

“The wicked flee when no man pursueth”
–Proverbs 28:1

Though many have “Jesus” on their lips, very, very few have Him in their hearts.

And this is a prime reason for fear walking the land: MANY fear man.

FEW fear the LORD.

If the reader is observant, he will notice the manifestation of this fear in the coming days.

MORE

THE FEAR OF GOD ALMIGHTY

Many may ask “Why not ‘keep an eye out for danger’“?

IF one is not to fear man, what is the alternative?

As always, the answer lies in God’s Word.

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
–Proverbs 1:7

“For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.”
–Proverbs 1:29-31

“Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”
–Proverbs 3:7

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”
–Proverbs 9:10

“In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.”
–Proverbs 14:26-27

“Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith.”
–Proverbs 15:16

“By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.”
–Proverbs 16:6

Too bad so few believe the book known as the Bible.

How sad.

The fear of man will lessen the fear of God.

The fear of God will lessen–then bring an end to–the fear of man.

“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.”
–Proverbs 29:25

DOES the reader believe the “news” of man?

DOES the reader ever wonder why such “news” is so full of fear and anxiety?

HAS the reader ever asked “Is there an alternative to such fear?”

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

The Fear of Man

STRAIGHT AHEAD: Chaos, panic, terror, fear for the unprepared.

“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.”
–Proverbs 29:25

The fear of man is one of the Corporate Media’s best-selling products.

MORE: WHY is the Government, Media Promoting Fear?

This includes (but is not limited to):

  • FEAR of the coming CHAOS!
  • FEAR of financial or economic collapse
  • FEAR of war
  • FEAR of civil unrest
  • FEAR of earthquakes, volcanoes, climate or other Acts of God
  • FEAR of infectious disease
  • FEAR of the cruelty of men (torture, etc.)
  • FEAR of starvation and want

“The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.”
–Proverbs 14:27

The media promotes the fear of man at the expense of the fear of God. It does this to more easily control the masses and move them to wherever they are desired.

It was men who changed such God actions as earthquakes and volcanoes from “Acts of God” to “natural disasters.”

This was to lessen fear of God.

And where there is no fear of God, the fear of man stalks.

But the fear of man is a snare; a trap; a pitfall.

It is the LORD God Almighty men should fear.

But the vast majority do not.

And so, the vast majority of men will run down a bad road to their destruction.

There is still time to change direction (repent) and place one’s trust in Almighty God.

FEAR: Fear God, Not Man

FEAR: Fear God, Not Man
FEAR: Fear God, Not Man

“And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.”
Luke 12:4-5

An acquaintance of this writer died very suddenly this week. Death seems so much more real when it strikes someone with which one has had regular conversations.

Among the many conversations which ensued throughout this week, one touched on what lay beyond this life and fear.

The acquaintance was a worldly person who was very much a friend of the world.

“know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”
James 4:4

This is related because the question was posed “Do you suppose it’s scary (referring to death) if it’s so quick? Anyway, he didn’t have time to be scared.

The question was largely left unanswered and the conversation moved to (many) other subjects. The subject of “fear” was forgotten.

When it comes to God, many people live fearless lives; i.e., they have no fear of the Lord. Because of God’s long-suffering, they have the liberty to do this.

But it’s a short, short life–and one never knows one’s appointed time. It could be a minute from now or thirty years.

FEAR OF MEN

So many operate with a fear of men and not of God. This is completely backwards from what Jesus warned.

“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Matthew 10:28

While the power of men may seem more immediate, the consequences of eternal torment require a healthy fear of God.

“In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.”
Proverbs 14:26-27

Men will attempt to instill a fear of men. Men will try to stoke fear with tribulation and persecution.

Fear: What does the Bible Say about Conquering Fear? (of men)

Men can cause trouble. Men can persecute and men can kill.

But then, their power is finished.

“Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight. Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men.”
Psalm 9:19-20

Fear God who judges for all eternity.

And God WILL judge–whether the person chooses to believe it or not.

“And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;”
1 Peter 3:13-14

Fear God and Live

FEAR THE LORD: Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
FEAR THE LORD: Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”
Ecclesiastes 12:13

There is no fear of the LORD.

There is no fear of God in the world at large.

There is no fear God in the halls of worldly power (Washington, DC).

And there is certainly no fear of God among the apostate churches.

Oh, they talk a good game.

But their actions declare something altogether different. Different gospels, a different Jesus, witchcraft, different spirits, different gods, paganism: what is taking place is different from what is on the lips of the congregations.

In the churches, the ground zero for the apostasy, the wolves and deceitful workers have changed the fear of God into something else. In the churches, the God is Love idol is worshiped above all others. In the churches, God just wants to hug everyone and He doesn’t worry about sin anymore.

“Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”
Proverbs 3:7

There are many pew-sitters who are fond of quoting 2 Chronicles 7:14.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

But the pew-sitters are natural men.

There is little humbling among the proud in the Land of Pride. The churches no longer even worship the God of the Bible. Some do not even know who they worship.

They worship the idol called “God is Love“–and there is no fear among the church-goers of their idol.

God’s Word is full of warnings to “fear God.” But the workers of iniquity and the wolves in the pulpit have indoctrinated their apostate audiences into believing that the fear of God does not mean the fear of God.

God is not mocked.

God will destroy all idols, especially the one worshiped as God is Love.

There are no “do-overs” in eternal salvation. There are no second chances after judgment begins. The time to turn from sin, iniquity and the idols in the churches is now.

Fear God and live.

“The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.”
Proverbs 14:27

The fear of the Lord is the fear of the Lord.

Fear God.

Depart from evil.

Repent.

Be saved.

While there is yet still time.

“For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”
Ecclesiastes 12:14

THE GOSPEL
