ST. CLAIRSVILLE, OH(ETPR) – Rafael Cruz, father of GOP presidential hopeful, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) made a stop in eastern Ohio Tuesday night where he led a small but enthusiastic crowd of Tea Partiers in the reciting of a covenant.
Cruz used a variety of lines about the Bible, God and freedom to keep the crowd on their feet and shouting for more.
Urged on by the crowd, Cruz–a Dominionist preacher by trade–was interrupted by applause throughout his approximately 30-minute speech.
Rafael Cruz is a pastor with Purifying Fire Ministries founded by Suzanne Hinn, wife, ex-wife and then wife again of Benny Hinn.
After a few warm-up speakers, it was after dark by the time Rafael Cruz took the microphone.
Even a brief (but moderately heavy) rain didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the crowd.
Those gathered were augmented by a contingent of local miners, who were on hand to protest President Obama’s energies policies, dubbed the “War on Coal.”
Cruz began by drawing comparisons between his native Cuba and the USA and ended up leading the crowd in a reciting of “a covenant.”
Cruz said there were “problems with the USA” but nothing that changing the man at the top wouldn’t fix. He also blasted the “57 million deaths” brought on by the American abortion industry.
Cruz told the crowd to “fear God, which means obey God’s precepts.” He then went on to equate God’s precepts with a variety of conservative goals which included “working hard.”
Cruz quoted Proverbs 29:2, putting his own spin the verse.
“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.“
“Let me tell you what this means. The righteous; the righteous are in authority: this means to vote, to run for office. To vote; to run for office.
Or, the wicked will vote for the wicked. The wicked will be running things.”
The following quotes came from the approximately 30-minutes-long speech by Rafael Cruz–whose son can only hope to be as accomplished a speaker in front of a crowd.

“The Second Amendment does not give you your right to keep and bear arms. Follow me, to keep and bear arms. Look at what it says: “…the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
You already have the right to keep and bear arms and that right SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. The right is yours. It’s inferred.”
Speaking of his native Cuba:
“In the late ’70s, the government introduced policies which reminded me of Cuba.”
“I lost my freedom overnight. I cherish my freedom. I will die fighting before I lose it again!”
“This country is worth fighting for!”
“No one is gonna take away my gun or my Bible!”
“ObamaCare attacks the elderly.”
“Did anyone give the government the right to ram ObamaCare down your throats? Hell, no!”
“Rights come from God, not the government.”
Cruz claimed two contradictory founding narratives.
“We are the only country in the world founded on the Word of God.”
“We were founded on We the People. We the People: government is attacking God.”
“Stop electing the village idiot!”
This line elicited one of the biggest crowd responses of the night.
“Politicians lie!”
The elder Cruz claimed “covetousness” can be separated into two parts.
“Politicians aren’t after money, but power. They covet power and control!”
“The Obama administration has both of their hands in your pocket.”
Cruz finished by leading the crowd in the following “covenant.” He stated that the covenant was with “each other before God.”
What was odd was his covenant claimed the protection of “Divine Providence” which means one thing to Christians, another to the mystery of iniquity.

“Repeat after me–from the heart.
Relying on the protection of Divine Providence.
We mutually pledge
To do all we can to restore righteousness in America.
To restore the rule of law in America.
To restore America to its place as a shining city on a hill.
So help me God.
God bless America.”
RAFAEL CRUZ: STUMPING FOR TED
It was a little over a year ago that the elder Cruz announced that his son, Ted, was “anointed.” The announcement and interview both generated controversy–especially on the left, which is the only place which seems to be interested in keeping a handle on the political machinations of the Dominion Theology crowd. (Which is unfortunate since those on the right, particularly evangelicals need to know when they are being deceived.)
Dominion Theology or Dominionism is the idea that Christians should work toward either a nation governed by Christians or one governed by a conservativeChristian understanding of biblical law.
In other words, Dominionists believe in an earthly kingdom; the church taking over the world–all in the name of Jesus, of course. Although various Dominionist groups vary over the particulars, generally Dominion Theology states that the Church has to conquer the earth before Jesus can return.
The Bible does say there is a church which takes over the world in the last days–but it is a satanic counterfeit, not the Christian Church.

Rafael Cruz claimed that Ted’s political career is a “thing of God.”
In that interview with CBN, Rafael Cruz said he told Ted:
“You know Ted, you have been gifted above any man that I know and God has destined you for greatness.’ And I started making declarations about the Word of God to him every day.”
Ted Cruz’s Father Suggested His Son Is ‘Anointed’ to Bring About ‘End Time Transfer of Wealth’
“The pastor [Huch] referred to Proverbs 13:22, a little while ago, which says that the wealth of the wicked is stored for the righteous. And it is through the kings, anointed to take dominion, that that transfer of wealth is going to occur.” – Rafael Cruz, August 26, 2012
In a sermon last year at an Irving, Texas, megachurch that helped elect Ted Cruz to the United States Senate, Cruz’ father Rafael Cruz indicated that his son was among the evangelical Christians who are anointed as “kings” to take control of all sectors of society, an agenda commonly referred to as the “Seven Mountains” mandate, and “bring the spoils of war to the priests”, thus helping to bring about a prophesied “great transfer of wealth”, from the “wicked” to righteous gentile believers. link to video of Rafael Cruz describing the “great transfer of wealth” and the role of anointed “kings” in various sectors of society, including government, who are to “bring the spoils of war to the priests”.
The event in St. Clairsville wound up with speaker “Coach Dave” Daubenmire, a columnist with News with Views.
Daubenmire spoke with passion–and by passion, this writer mean LOUDLY–and mainly on American values and the threat of Muslims.
FULL DISCLOSURE: ETPR has frequently pointed out the misapplication and willful undermining of scripture in Daubenmire’s columns. In particular, Daubenmire has sought to make Romans 13:1-7 (as well as a number of other Bible verses) of none effect by advocating that the Christian rebel against the civil authorities. This is in CLEAR contradiction to Scripture.
On more than one occasion, Daubenmire has sought to undermine Romans 13:1-2 so that Americans Christians will rebel against “tyranny.”
