There Will Be NO Dramatic Rescues of the Wicked During the Last Days

RESCUE

One of the BIGGEST cliches in moviedom is the one about the ‘good guys’ getting pulled to safety at the last minute by some previously-unknown force.

BUT, looking at the last days ACCORDING TO GOD’S WORD, one gets the DISTINCT impression that there will be NO such drama–as it concerns the wicked.

God CONTROLS completely all events during the end times.  God’s Word is replete with verses which promise no dramatic rescues–only sure judgment–for the wicked during the last days.

The end times are a particularly SCARY time for almost all men: because the end times are SO different for anything man is usually familiar with.

“And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.”
–Luke 21:11

As God has set the end times up and controls EVERY facet of the circumstance, He has His reasons for ensuring the the wicked do NOT escape His judgment.

God WILL judge the wicked–even if many folks do not believe they qualify.

“The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.”
–Proverbs 16:4

“The Lord preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.”
–Psalm 145:20

Actually, the judgment of the wicked (along with the evil and the foolish) is ONE SURE SIGN of the end times.

“And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.”
–Malachi 4:3

“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
–Revelation 20:12-15

“The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished”
–2PETER 2:9

THOUGH God will undoubtedly demonstrate His MERCY and GRACE to ALL by saving a FEW (very few) of the completely, utterly, totally LOST, the average wicked soul should NOT count on such largesse to bail them out.  There will likely be NO ‘Hail Mary‘s’ for the wicked.

Though the righteous may be delivered in a variety of ways, the wicked will NOT be looking for any such rescues–IF the wicked are wise.

OF COURSE, IF the wicked were wise, they would not be the wicked: they would be the righteous.

BUT, that’s another article…

IS the reader wise?

It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

Those Who Have $$$ Will Likely NOT Be In Heaven

MONEY = NO HEAVEN

God’s Word is FULL of messages which point out that those with money have chosen comfort and $$$ in this SHORT, TEMPORARY life over comfort in the NEXT, ETERNAL one.

“There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.  And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.”
–Luke 16:19-25

“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”
–Matthew 19:23-24

“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.”
1TIMOTHY 6:17-19

Yet, the man with money CLINGS to his wealth, CONSTANTLY watching to ensure that no one carries off any of it or it in ANY WAY diminishes.

It is NOT impossible for a person with money to enter heaven, but it is VERY difficult for the person of wealth to put ANYTHING ahead of his money.  As Jesus Himself said (when referring to the matter):

“When the disciples heard this [that it was difficult for the rich man to enter heaven], they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

And so, the rich and poor alike depend upon the MERCY and GRACE of GOD to gain eternal life.  BUT, the poor man does NOT have his thinking skewed by WEALTH.

Those who have money IN THIS LIFE will likely NOT be going to heaven.

But again,

“…with God all things are possible.”

DOES the reader believe that wealth is an indication of one’s knowledge about money?

It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

Are Playing Cards Acceptable in the Bible?

PLAYING CARD

Quite a lively debate has been raging between a person who believes there is NOTHING WRONG with associating with playing cards and another who believes that playing cards are just another ‘wile of the devil.’

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
–Ephesians 5:11

SO, which is it?

Are playing cards–which have been around for roughly 2400 years–a tool of Satan or are they merely clever distractions to while away the odd, unused minutes?

More importantly, does God’s Word have anything to say on the matter?

This discussion has been ongoing for what seems like FOREVER.  One person will lead with their best shot.  INSTEAD of fully answering that shot, the other person unlimbers one of their own.  The barbs get traded back and forth, NOTHING, it seems, ever gets decided, and the question–after MONTHS of intense conversations–remains pretty much UNANSWERED–each side remaining UNCONVINCED of the validity of the other.

We decided to offer readers the best couple of ‘shots’ EACH participant in this arena has offered up–as well as our OWN take on the matter.

1- Playing cards have been used for divination and divination is roundly CONDEMNED in God’s Word.

“There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch… For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD.”
–Deuteronomy 18:10,12

This is a STRONG argument–BUT, it does have a few flaws in it.

OUR TAKE: YES, playing cards HAVE been used by various tricksters as a form of divination–or revealing things about the future.  BUT, devining tricksters have used a NUMBER of ordinary objects to ply their craft.

STILL, a home which contains playing cards contains methods of divination which are still used today among the unwise.

IF a person wants to partake of divination, they can use any number of common items in a household–including playing cards.

2- PLAYING CARDS eat up time better spent talking to God or some other spiritual matter.

“Idle hands are the devil’s workshop.”
–Old Saying

OUR TAKE: Satan is ALWAYS looking for idle hands or idle minds–and he uses them BOTH to further his evil.

Playing cards DO indicate idle hands.  And idle hands usually indicate an idle mind.  God’s Word cautions against devoting ANY time to ANYTHING that is NOT God. God’s Word also cautions against idle talk.

“And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.”
–Mark 12:29-30

“But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.”
–Matthew 12:36

Jesus ALSO advised His followers to stay busy–and staying busy does NOT include playing cards.

“And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.”
–Luke 19:13

While PLAYING CARDS are not usually a primary source of idleness, they CONTRIBUTE mightily.

And now, for the OTHER side.

A- Playing cards are nothing more than a harmless distraction to help one from falling prey to bad thoughts. Better a playing card than something WORSE!

God’s Word doesn’t really have much good to say about distractions as a behavior.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour”
–1PETER 5:8

Perhaps this is why few Bible verses were used by this person–INSTEAD, he relied on many quotes of the world to shore up his points.

“I needed something—the distraction of another life—to alleviate fear.”
Brett Easton Ellis

“The most dangerous distractions are the ones you love, but that don’t love you back.”
Warren Buffett

(IF memory serves, this last quote was used with the observation that FEW love playing cards.)

“Work is hard. Distractions are plentiful. And time is short.”

(AGAIN, trusting to memory, this was used to demonstrate how common distractions are.)

OUR TAKE: Is summed up by a quote from the world.

“Idle hands (which distractions USUALLY produce OR at least, indicate) are the devil’s workshop.”

B- IF someone wants to get involved in TROUBLE, they will manage to do so–whether they have access to playing cards or not.

OUR TAKE: While true, this says NOTHING about the goodness or badness of PLAYING CARDS.

God’s Word is NOT shy about declaring ANYTHING which distracts from God or God’s Worship as ‘foolish.’

Was the reader swayed one way or another by any of the arguments listed?

There were MANY other points from BOTH sides. God willing, we MAY address these in the future.

Our OVERALL assessment goes something like this: playing cards MAY NOT come directly from Satan–BUT, Satan is not unfamiliar with PLAYING CARDS.

WHAT does the reader think about the use of playing cards?

IS it a PATH one walks down to find Satan?

OR, is it a road to God?

It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

Disbelief is Part of God’s End Times Plan

GOD'S END TIMES PLAN

It can be understood IF a lot of folks question the purposes of this piece.

“Why would God build disbelief into his plan for the end times?”

HOWEVER, IF one believes in an all-powerful, all-knowing God (which He is), then one has to believe the arguments this piece makes.

God invented time.  Because God is EVERYWHERE, He inhabits ALL points of time: past, present, future. God KNOWS what the future holds because He has already seen the future.  He has been there and KNOWS for sure what the future contains.

This is a primary reason why God’s Word is totally true concerning what it says about the future.

There are NO guesses.

There is NO speculation.

There is NO conjecture.

Because He inhabits ALL points of time, God has been to (what man calls ‘the future’) and KNOWS what will take place. God’s Word confirms this.

“My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.”
–Psalm 139:15-16

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
–Jeremiah 1:5

SO, God KNOWS EVERYTHING that will happen during the end times and the last days. Because God controls EVERYTHING, he KNOWS that there will be disbelief during that time.

BUT, because He KNOWS, He is able to make iron-clad plans: plans which do NOT get altered by unforeseen events.

There are NO unforeseen events with God, because God sees ALL.

WHY did God plan that unbelief would be in the last days?

1 – He’s God: He can do ANYTHING He wants.

2- He OBVIOUSLY saw a NEED for some disbelief. What this need is would be the focus of MANY heated discussions.

3- Perhaps God uses disbelief to TEST and TRY his people?

4- WHATEVER His purposes, the reader should NOT question God’s decisions.  God sees further and KNOWS what will happen. The reader can only GUESS.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
–Isaiah 55:8-9

A thought: ALL men who question God’s judgment do NOT exhibit complete FAITH in the LORD. The fate of such men will be determined by a God in which they do NOT believe.

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
–Revelation 21:8

WHAT does the reader think about all of this?

It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

An Excursion Through the End Times Scourges, Accompanied Only by God, the Most Powerful Being in the Universe

ACCOMPANIED BY ONLY GOD

As the follower of Jesus traverses the end times, walking to and fro amongst the scourges of the end times earth, he should be comforted by the knowledge that he is NOT on his jaunt alone.

The follower of Jesus walks hand-in-hand with the most POWERFUL being in the universe: The Creator of ALL, God Almighty.

AND, God promises protection to ALL of His people who are chosen by Him.

“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
–Deuteronomy 31:6

God does NOT want His people to be FEARFUL–and with GOOD reason.

Being FEARFUL when one is under the protection of the most POWERFUL being known is NOT wise.  In fact, being FEARFUL when under the protection of God is saying to God, “I do NOT believe you!  I do NOT believe what you say!”

Which is one reason God punishes the fearful like He does others who are more UPFRONT about their UNBELIEF.

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
–Revelation 21:8

There are MANY reasons not to FEAR when accompanied by God.  God’s Word provides ammo for the believer.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
–2TIMOTHY 1:7

Being FEARFUL when one is a follower of Jesus Christ means that the follower does NOT believe he is ‘perfect in love.’

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”
–1JOHN 4:18

The end times world is an unfamiliar, scary place–UNLESS one is protected by the ONE WHO CREATED THAT SCARY END TIMES WORLD.

When one is accompanied by God–the MOST POWERFUL FORCE IN THE UNIVERSE–one should be COMPLETELY fear-free.

IF God cannot protect the reader–and He is ready and able to do so–then there is NO protection to be found.

DOES the reader believe he has the ULTIMATE PROTECTION?

It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

A Leisurely Walk Though Hell

HELL

A FEW LESSER-KNOWN FACTS ABOUT HELL OF WHICH THE READER MAY NOT BE AWARE

God’s Word is very close-lipped about heaven–the abode of God and the righteous man.

BUT, God’s Word has quite a bit to say about HELL–the place the wicked, the evil and the foolish are bound.

Because the reader may NOT be aware of everything that has been written in God’s Word about HELL, we now present the following.

1- Having the Son (becoming a follower of Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God) will keep one OUT of Hell.

“He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.”
–1JOHN 5:12

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
–John 3:36

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
–John 5:24

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.”
–John 6:47

2- HELL is NOT a very nice place place. IF one were to spend a few hours in HELL, that might seem like eternity. IF one were to spend an eternity in HELL…well, that IS eternal.

“Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”
–Jude 1:7

“And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”
–Mark 9:43-48

[MANY are the discussions over the meaning of the phrase, “…their worm die not…

A great many Bible scholars have claimed that the ‘worm’ is a man’s memory, which NEVER dies out.  The following is according to Barnes’ Notes on the Old and New Testaments. Barnes appears to be careful in his judgments on the matter.]

Their worm. This figure is clearly taken from Isa 66:24. In describing the great prosperity of the kingdom of the Messiah, Isaiah says, that the people of God shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of men who have transgressed against God. Their enemies Shall be overcome. They shall be slain. The people of God shall triumph. The figure is taken from heaps of the dead slain in battle; and the prophet says, that the number shall be so great, that their worm–the worm feeding on the dead–shall not die, shall live long–as long as there are carcasses to be devoured; and that the fire which was used to burn the bodies of the dead shall continue long to burn, and shall not be extinguished till they are consumed. The figure, therefore, denotes great misery, and certain and terrible destruction. In these verses it is applied to the state beyond the grave, and is intended to denote that the destruction of the wicked will be awful, wide-spread, and eternal. It is not to be supposed that there will be any real worm in hell–perhaps no material fire. Nor can it be told what was particularly intended by the undying worm. There is no authority for applying it, as is often done, to remorse of conscience, any more than to any other of the pains and reflections of hell. It is a mere image of loathsome, dreadful, and eternal sufferings. In what that suffering will consist, it is probably beyond the power of any living mortal to imagine. The word “their,” in the phrase “their worm,” is used merely to keep up the image or figure. Dead bodies, putrefying in that valley, would be overrun with worms, while the fire was not confined to them, but spread to other objects, kindled by combustibles through all the valley. It is not meant, therefore, that every particular sufferer has a peculiar worm, or has particular sins that cause remorse of conscience. That is a truth; but it does not appear that it is intended to be taught here.

3- Certain men are SPECIFICALLY marked for inclusion into HELL by God.

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
–Revelation 21:8

4- HELL was NOT created for man–though man will occupy his fair share of the unquenchable fire.

“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels”
–Matthew 25:41

5- SO MANY men are entering HELL, it has to become bigger to accommodate them all.

“Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled”
–Isaiah 5:14-15

6- Going to HELL provokes MUCH sorrow.

“The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me”
–2SAMUEL 22:6

“The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.”
–Psalm 116:3

7- Despite what modern Bible teachers claim, HELL is a lake ever burning with fire and brimstone–and the wicked.

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
–Revelation 21:8

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
–Revelation 20:15

“So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
–Matthew 13:49-50

SO, the preceding are a few facts (taken from God’s Word) about HELL.  There are MANY others, but that is for another time.

WAS the reader aware of them ALL?

It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

-–Romans 1:16

IF Receiving Eternal Salvation is NOT a Decision of Man, THEN How Does One Get Saved?

SALVATION

“So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.”
–Romans 9:16

Though, strictly speaking, it is NOT up to the individual whether or not he becomes a member of the kingdom of heaven, he DOES have a say in the matter.

IF it is NOT up to each individual–in spite of what the churches claim–whether one receives eternal salvation, then HOW DOES SOMEONE RECEIVE ETERNAL SALVATION?

It begins with God’s mercy and grace toward each individual man. The churches have told the UNTRUE story that a person ‘comes to God’ after ‘making a decision for Christ.’ BUT, it is NOT man’s decision, it is God’s.

The GRACE and MERCY of God determines who will have eternal life–NOT some sinner’s decision.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
–Ephesians 2:8-9

As is usual with spiritual–and all other–matters, God’s Word provides the reader with clues.

“For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”
–Romans 9:15

God–NOT man–decides who is eternally saved. There are NO men who DESERVE eternal salvation, but God brings His people into the kingdom of heaven by His MERCY and GRACE alone.

“…but I am carnal, sold under sin.”
–Romans 7:14

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
–Romans 3:10-12

So, man is a totally flawed CREATION, whose body is the dust of the earth and which is sinful.

“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”
–Genesis 2:7

God KNOWS EVERYTHING about man, His creation. God KNOWS man is sinful. God KNOWS that man, on his own, will NEVER live up to the standards of a Holy God.

So, God is VERY loving and free about dispensing GRACE and MERCY to His flawed creation in order that they might get into heaven.

To ‘get the attention’ of a merciful and loving God–who CREATED us ALL–God’s Word has some suggestions on how this might be accomplished.

1 Eternal salvation is found in Jesus Christ, God’s Son.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
–John 3:16

“And being made perfect, he [Jesus] became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.”
–Hebrews 5:9

“…and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”
–Acts 16:30-31

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
–John 3:36

So, IF one desires to be a member of the kingdom of heaven, it is necessary to have COMPLETE and TOTAL belief in Jesus Christ.

THIS ‘gets God’s attention’–because it is written in God’s Word.

2 Obey the commands of God, as they are written in God’s Word (the ONLY truth available to man).

One cannot be a member of the kingdom of heaven IF one loves to sin.  Sin is a transgression against God. So, man has to obey the commands which are written in God’s Word.

“Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.”
–Deuteronomy 27:10

[God KNOWS that His creation (man) will NOT obey all of His commands because man is made of dirt. BUT, this is where the MERCY of God gets a sinner into heaven.]

3 Accept the benefits of being ‘born again’ SPIRITUALLY.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
–John 3:3

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
–John 3:5

When one is reborn spiritually, that person receives a bit of the Spirit of God to dwell within him.

[Even a tiny bit of God’s Spirit is a LOT.]

4 Have faith that God will do as He has said in His Word.

“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.”
–Mark 11:22

“But without faith it is impossible to please him [God]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
–Hebrews 11:6

5 God will reward all as they deserve.  IF the reader desires to be eternally saved, he must deserve eternal salvation.

“For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.”
–Matthew 16:27

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
–2CORINTHIANS 5:10

With God, ETERNAL SALVATION all begins with His MERCY.

With man, ETERNAL SALVATION all begins with a STRONG DESIRE for eternal salvation.
