End Times Prophecy Headlines: December 25, 2023 – Christmas Day

Let this reminder serve as a heads-up to all of our regular readers out there. ETPR will be taking some time off for the holiday season. Regular output will resume after the first of the year.

In case ANYONE was wondering…

It is not like our schedule is so back-breaking that we have to take a time-out from the action.

However, time off for the holidays is an expected thing.

Besides, the time between Christmas and New Year’s Day is usually filled with media-generated ‘retrospectives’ and one more or less would hardly be noticed by readers.

A FEW THOUGHTS ON CHRISTMAS

The day before Christmas is, MANY TIMES, filled with various ponderings and other types of pensive recollections. And so we find ourselves writing a bit about Christmas 2023.

Christmas time is the one time of the year when the WORLD (and those who dwell in it) PRETEND to love Jesus. It is speculated that this pretending will NOT continue on for very much longer. When there is something to be gained from such pretensions, then they will be common.

BUT, when those actions no longer matter so much, they will fall by the wayside.

Let this short piece serve as a REMINDER that the time of the world pretending that Jesus matters to it is NEARLY over.

Believers can enjoy this time–or not, depending on one’s outlook.

God is not shy about telling the world–through His Word–that he will offer protection, provision and other benefits to HIS FOLLOWERS.

God WILL provide.

A great many who inhabit the churches may doubt this as they have failed to experience the awesome power of God personally. They sing praises to the everyday occurrences which happen EVEN to the non-believer BECAUSE they have NEVER experienced the tremendous POWER of the One Who Controls the Entire Universe.

Once one becomes a follower of God–a TRUE follower, not one who ONLY worships God with his words–one who has been born a second time SPIRITUALLY, one begins to experience the TRUE power of God. God can do ANYTHING. God created ALL. God’s power is LIMITLESS. The reader only need SINCERELY become a follower of God to tap into this amazing current of power.

What follows is 15 Bible verses which mostly are God offering His assurances to all who might follow Him, as well as 5 quotes by men on God showering His power on His followers.

A Couple of Examples of the False Reality

The false reality has been called “the world that has been pulled over your eyes” to blind you from the TRUTH.

And what is that TRUTH?

The 1999 science-fiction movie, The Matrix, insisted that the TRUTH which men were being blinded to was that all men are slaves.

That isn’t too far from the Bible’s insistence that SIN enslaves a man.

“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”
–Romans 6:15

At the end, in the days immediately before the return of Jesus Christ, ALL men who dwell upon the earth (with the exception of those few who are eternally saved) are slaves to Satan and sin.

“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
–Revelation 13:4,8

IF a man is not a servant of Satan, he is a servant of God (and bound for eternal glory).

“Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”

The reader can KNOW that the world he lives in is mostly composed of LIES and FALSEHOODS. It is those deceptions which make up the false reality.

THEREFORE, for the discerning reader, a few examples of the false reality which the world presents AS IF it was true.

1- The world has created a fantasy place called OUTER SPACE and filled it with stories of UFOs, space aliens, ETs, asteroids and other extraterrestrial nonsense.

Outer space does NOT exist and even if it did, there is NO way for man to reach it. A shield called the ‘firmament’ surrounds the earth.

“And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.”

There are MANY stories the world tells about OUTER SPACE.

A FEW of the Many Stories The World Presents to the Deceived In Order To More Completely Deceive Them

OUTER SPACE is a place which ONLY exists in the fevered minds of Satan’s workers of iniquity. Many of those fevered minds pass along their outer space tales because they labor in the Corporate Media (Satan’t Mouthpiece).

2- The world tells and retells its tales because, for propaganda to work, it has to be REPEATED over and over again.

This is especially true of those tales which have passed into the manipulative hands of HISTORY.

One story which the world tells and re-tells and tells again is the one about the sinking of the Titanic.

An exciting story, to be sure.

BUT, that story was told YEARS before the Titanic supposedly sunk.

Futility, or the Wreck of the Titan – Still think major media events are random happenings and not scripted?

Futility, or the Wreck of the Titan is an 1898 novella written by Morgan Robertson. The story features the ocean liner Titan, which sinks in the North Atlantic after striking an iceberg. The Titan and its sinking have been noted to be very similar to the real-life passenger ship RMS Titanic, which sank fourteen years later. Following the wreck the novel was reissued with some changes, particularly in the ship’s gross tonnage.

Although the novel was written before the RMS Titanic was even conceptualized, there are some uncanny similarities between both the fictional and real-life versions. Like the Titanic, the fictional ship sank in April in the North Atlantic, and there were not enough lifeboats for the passengers. There are also similarities between the size, speed and life-saving equipment.

Just one of those coincidences–a word not found in the Bible–we hear so much about.

Why Do Men Believe the False Reality?

Man dwells upon the earth and is deceived by the stories the world tells to create it false reality, which surrounds and envelops all who live on this earth.

The FIRST man (and his wife) were deceived by Satan, disobeyed God and eventually were ushered out of the Garden of Eden by God for that disobedience.

“Hath God said?”

In Adam and Eve’s mind, the first FALSE REALITY was created by the serpent (Satan) when he questioned God’s motives (in front of Eve).

“Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. Modern man is NO different: modern man will also be deceived by the devil, Satan.

“And the great dragon…that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world”
–Revelation 12:9

One of the ways the devil deceives man is surrounding man with a false reality of LIES.

This false reality will ALWAYS challenge what is written in God’s Word.

The false reality will also get man used to believing LIES, instead of the TRUTH.

The false reality will make man pay attention to what the world–and Satan–say, instead of God.

NOW, some men are aware–to a degree–that they are being lied to, BUT most do not care enough to look into the matter.

It is the rare man who admits that he lives his life for lies: most men INSIST that they want the TRUTH.

BUT, most men do NOT.

Man may suspect that he is being told nothing more than a series of stories.

Man may have his suspicions that he is being told little more than stories.

Man may have even caught the storytellers red-handed telling him lies instead of the TRUTH.

BUT, NONE of that is enough to change the outlook of almost ALL men.

Most men desire to be comfortable–and for most men, comfort trumps the truth.

The TRUTH also requires the one who believes it to CHANGE–and man does not LIKE change.

In addition, man is NOT a good person–particularly end times man.

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
2TIMOTHY 3:1-5

God’s Word accuses end times man to be “lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God.” “Comfort” can very easily be substituted for “pleasure.” The two are NOT the same thing–BUT, they can see each other’s neighborhoods from where they live.

LASTLY, the great majority of men believe the world’s stories.

The great majority of end times men do NOT believe God’s Word.

Satan creates and surrounds end times man with a cocoon of deception called ‘the false reality.’

The alert reader can KNOW that this deception exists and that it affects every part of his life.

Is the reader ALERT?

DOES the reader believe he is saved?

Why Do Many Men Desire the Deceptions Which Come With A False Reality?

There are a number of times–too great to be accurately counted–in which what a man PUBLICLY SAYS and the deepest DESIRES of that man’s heart, differ.

Why is this?

Does man purposely deceive any who are listening to him?

Not likely, though some would do that.

Then what is the reason for the discrepancy?

The reader can chalk it up to MOST of mankind wanting others to think the best of them.

Man wants other men to think he is a good person–in spite of what God’s Word has to say about men being good.

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
–Romans 3:10-12

“They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
–Psalm 14:1-3

“And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.”
–Genesis 6:12

So, even though there are NO good people, man wants his friends and relatives to think of him as ‘good.’ This is natural, as most men want others to think the best of him.

Thus, man desires that other men see him as ‘good’–even though there are NO good men.

Do many see that man as ‘good’?

Others know that many men are notorious liars.

Others ALSO know that Satan is a notorious liar.

So, when men see others lying, many chalk it up to “Men are liars,” OR “Men NATURALLY lie.” The question of whether the man is CONCOCTING the lie OR merely repeating what he has heard or read NEVER occurs.

One’s false reality is made up of lies. A false reality may include MANY lies within its makeup OR it may only contain what’s necessary to maintain the false illusion one lives under.

One additional reason that man participates in FALSE REALITY: man enjoys his comfort more than he enjoys the truth.

Though there are a great number who will protest (“I do NOT enjoy being lied to!“), YET those same ones who protest enjoy their comfort.

Man–in spite of his many LOUD claims to the contrary–does NOT value the truth IF it interferes with his COMFORT.

The TRUTH requires that the unrighteous man CHANGE his ways. MOST men do NOT desire changes which upset their life–which most SPIRITUAL change will do.

CHOOSING to believe a lie may give the one who believes a sort of temporary control, but it does NOTHING to confirm or deny the TRUTH of the matter.

There once lived a woman who proclaimed–when informed that she was living in a FALSE REALITY which she recognized but did NOT acknowledge–“Well, THIS is what I choose to believe. I CHOOSE to believe this.”

Poor woman! She CHOSE to believe a lie–mostly because it made her life EASIER to live if she chose to do so.

Hopefully, that woman will see the error of her ways BEFORE she is judged by God.

Men may ascertain that the reality which surrounds them is a FALSE one. But FEW men care enough about the TRUTH to do the necessary work that’s required to confirm that they live in a lie.

Because so FEW desire the TRUTH, God will grant them their desire during the days before the return of His Son, Jesus Christ.

Men will suffer for their LOVE OF DECEPTION.

“And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
–2THESSALONIANS 2:10-12

And so, man will be sent a STRONG DELUSION by God Himself.

But a STRONG DELUSION may not be recognized as such by those used to living in a FALSE REALITY.

HAS the reader noticed any discrepancies in what he has been told and what he can see happening?

Why Is It Important NOT To Fall Prey To A False Reality?

The reader wanders around in his world, deciding–based on what he has read, what he has been told OR what he has seen with his own two eyes–what is REAL and TRUE.

What the reader decides is REAL and TRUE becomes the reader’s REALITY–whether the reader’s REALITY matches up with the TRUE and GENUINE REALITY or not.

Whether the reader is deceived or not determines what the reader believes about his REALITY.

Many moderns leave the devil, Satan, out of their equations altogether when they attempt to figure out what is TRUE. God’s Word (which much of the world does NOT believe, though many claim the exact opposite) reveals the lowdown on Satan and his lying, deceiving ways.

“And the great dragon…that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world…”
–Revelation 12:9

“[Satan, the devil] was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
–John 8:44

“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”
–1JOHN 3:8

Jesus Himself is recorded as saying “There is NO truth in Satan.”

Mankind has learned and relearned that lesson the hard way.

Many moderns have YET to relearn it.

Why is it important to know if one’s reality is genuine and true or not?

There are several reasons, but the MOST important is: it’s hard to make good decisions if one doesn’t know what is real and what is not.

For example, IF the reader thinks that little boys are made of ‘snips and snails and puppy dogs tails’ (as the old song and nursery rhyme declared) and that little girls are made of ‘sugar and spice and all things nice,’ then the reader will make his decisions based on the information he believes is TRUE. The reader may think the information contained in that old nursery rhyme is TRUE.

It is NOT.

IF the reader had the CORRECT information, then he most likely would make a different decision concerning boys and girls.

ANOTHER reason for knowing the correct reality one inhabits: knowing the correct reality one is surrounded by makes it easier to make the correct decisions about WHAT is good and WHAT is evil.

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

When one surrounds one’s self with a reality composed of falseness, then it is UNLIKELY that the one who is surrounded by falseness will discover his true situation. In this way, wandering about in a false reality is very much like wandering around in a DREAM.

VERY FEW men know they are dreaming; it is much the same with a false reality.

VERY FEW men know their reality is a false one. They turn to the authorities of the world (education, science, medicine, the media and MORE!) to tell them the truth–when they have reason to believe those authorities have LIED to them.

IF one’s outlook is colored by a number of LIES, then it is not likely that person–absent the mercy of God–will ever find his way to the truth.

A false reality is constructed of lies.

A false reality is a snare to trap and enslave the unwary.

A false reality, though, is mostly desired of men.

A false reality allows man to live the way he desires without consequences that man can see.

Which is the reason more men do NOT question the points of reality they inhabit.

DOES the reader believe everything the authorities tells him?

DOES the reader believe he is saved?

Fighting Against God is ALWAYS a Losing Idea

Over the past ten years or so, End Times Prophecy Report has written a GREAT DEAL about man’s various attempts to ‘get one over‘ on God.

ALL of man’s attempts to trick God are doomed to complete and utter FAILURE.

As are the attempts of Satan, the prince of this world.

THIS assurance of complete FAILURE has NOT deterred man in his quest to triumph over God, who CANNOT be beaten, particularly by beings which God created.

Why does man struggle so against a being which CANNOT be beaten?

Primarily because man is deceived. Man listens to the tall tales of Satan, who tells man that God is ONLY an invention of man.

Satan is a well-known deceiver.

“…the great dragon…, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world”
–Revelation 12:12

EVEN THE ENEMIES OF JESUS KNEW THAT YOU CANNOT FIGHT AGAINST GOD.

“Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men. For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought. After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed. And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.”
–Acts 5:34-39

Still, the undeniable fact that Satan is a KNOWN liar does NOT stop MOST men from paying attention to what the devil says. This slavish devotion to the stories of Satan turns the majority of men into workers of iniquity.

God declares that these rebellious unbelievers will wind up in the lake of fire with Satan and his rebellious angels.

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
–Revelation 21:8

“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels”
–Matthew 25:41

The question which seems to haunt EVERY discussion of this topic is always

“Can’t the wicked SEE that they are headed to eternal destruction and torment?”

The answer to that question is ALWAYS the same:

“Yes, those men ARE wicked, but those men are also DECEIVED. They follow after LIES. They say they value the truth and then utterly disregard it. God’s Word declares that ALL liars will burn.”

Another popular question stalks discussion of THIS topic. That question runs along the order of:

“How can those men think they can beat God? He is the most powerful they will EVER face!”

The answer to this question is much like the answer to the one about the wicked heading to eternal torment, seemingly without a care in the world.

CONCLUSION?

A man cannot successfully fight against God–particularly a God who CREATED that man and who KNOWS all of his WEAKNESSES.

DOES the reader believe that one can SUCCESSFULLY win a contest against the God who created him?

DOES the reader believe he is saved?
