Obama vows to China that USA will cut greenhouse gas emissions by 20 percent – This will be seen as an important milestone in Obama’s “War on Coal.” And it is: it is a very public excuse to shut down more coal mines and coal-fired power plants so that the USA will appear to be falling apart.

HOW ARE YOU USING YOUR 86,400 Seconds? – (h/t:B) Extremely interesting piece which is sure to provoke discussion.
On the one hand, Christians are called to be good stewards–no less of our time than our more material resources.
“Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.”

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;”

“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”

This piece certainly hits on the theme that a human is given so much time and shouldn’t waste it. One starts each day with 86,400 seconds. One should not waste the seconds one is given each by the Lord.
On the other hand, the piece makes no mention of the Lord.
It also suggests a number of unchristian activities and is written by an obviously ungodly person.
Time to take that diving course, yoga class, or self-improvement seminar. Time to chat with our grandparents. Time to visit an old friend. Time to aid the poor. Time to listen to the news. Time to challenge yourself. Time to meditate. Time to do volunteer work. Time to listen to a friend in need. Time to have dinner with your partner. Time to have dinner with your family.
Time to take that yoga class?
Yoga for Christians? Rooted in Hinduism
Time to meditate? Someone advocating yoga isn’t practicing meditating on Scripture. Eastern meditation is a form of “emptying oneself,” especially the mind–which the Bible expressly forbids.

In the “About the Author” notes, the reader finds that “Pernilla Hjort is a writer, blogger, psychic reader, healer, social media addict, educator, entrepreneur, singer, yogalicious web queen who loves to inspire, create, meditate, read books, and ski.”
So, what to do?
“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

Again, the piece is sure to provoke discussion.

“How can the reader know when the Corporate Media is lying to him (never mind the fact that the media is Satan’s Mouthpiece and Satan is the father of lies)? One easy way to tell is the use of “Why” and “How” in the headlines of an article. When the reader sees “Why?” or “How?” in the headline–occasionally “What” is used–that which follows will be a fairy tale, a narrative, a bedtime story spun by the media for the benefit of the media’s master.” “Why” usually denotes an on-going narrative; “How” signifies a story line which explains past events. Not all narratives begin with “How” or “Why.” However, the most in-your-face, over-the-top ones usually do.
