the pitfalls and problems of end times preparation

From the answers received from those who are IN THE WORLD AND LOVING IT, those who are IN THE WORLD AND DO NOT KNOW IT, TARES, TARES WHO INSIST THEY ARE NOT TARES BUT FOLLOWERS OF JESUS, and those who belong in assorted OTHER groups, it is OBVIOUS that end times preparation (despite all of the information contained in God’s Word as well as that which is written by believers) is HARD and NOT an easy task to accomplish.

There is more than one reason for this appalling LACK OF END TIMES PREPARATION, but it seems the NUMBER ONE REASON given for NOT being prepared for what God’s Word CLEARLY warns is coming to pass is DISTRACTIONS of one sort or another.

The sheer number of times we did NOT receive a “YES” or a “NO” answer to a question about proper end times preparation were TOO MANY TO COUNT. This is because we received a GREAT MANY “I was gonna do that…” or “I was in the middle of doing just that when [insert distraction here] popped up and I put it off and never got back to it…”

This response revealed a couple of bits of information.

1- End times preparation is just NOT that important to very many folks.

Oh, they SAY end times preparation is important, BUT…

IF it was very important, a momentary distraction would NOT stop their preparation for end times chaos.

2- A LOT MORE folks would be prepared for what the end times have in store IF it was MORE CONVENIENT to prepare.

IF it fit everyone’s busy schedule, then everyone would likely be prepared.

3- Many do NOT believe bad things will happen to them or their families during the end times, so they do NOT spend a lot of time worrying about those bad things which WON’T happen OR avoiding them.

There are MANY problems and pitfalls to preparing for the end times.

A lack of a sense of DANGER?

ALL of the excuses for NOT properly preparing for the end times might be traced to an ABSENCE OF DANGER. IF the ones supposedly preparing were CONVINCED that preparation was a NECESSARY thing to do, then END TIMES PREPARATION would be moved up to the TOP of a LOT of to-do lists.

DOES the reader believe he is well prepared to meet whatever the end times has to offer?

It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

DOES the reader believe he is saved?
