THE WORLD IS LOST AND DYING
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”
—Romans 5:12
For the most part, the world is full of people who have had a death sentence passed on them for their sin. Through the grace of God, believers in Jesus Christ have had that death sentence lifted because of their belief.
Believers are in the world, but they are not of the world; they are merely passing through this world on their journey to the next. Believers are not to be yoked with unbelievers. They are to be separate from the world.
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,”

JUST PASSING THROUGH A LOST AND DYING WORLD
One of life’s small pleasures is this writer’s interacting with a whole cast of characters most days. Let’s be frank: contact with this world is a burden, but believers are forced to live in this world–and to interact with those in the world.
Most are lost.
Several belong to an antichrist cult. Our paths cross even though this writer obediently refrains from being unequally yoked. Many times, they provide a refreshingly honest view of life from the workers of iniquity.
This is refreshing because most of the other deceivers one engages speak as if they are from some sort of Jane Austen novel where all of the characters are saying one thing and doing something else altogether different.
A few are involved in various criminal or shady dealings
More than a few are intentional deceivers playing their end times parts. Most of this group belongs to the “respectable crowd.”
Some are imposters. But the deceivers are unaware they have been deceived themselves.
Most hold Jesus Christ, the one cure for their hopelessness, at arm’s length. Others tolerate talk of the Bible and Jesus Christ (but immediately try to change the subject. To ANY other topic).
A couple are even Christians.
And this doesn’t include the cast of characters one interacts with in the course of writing the newsletter/website.
Whether it’s a clueless lost teen OR an antichrist deceiving member of a secret society/coven/cult OR a smug person of little wisdom who has had the world pulled over his eyes OR someone making up lie after lie in order to weave a deceptive legend about themselves, they all have one thing in common.
No matter how bad, this writer desires none of them to go to hell.
For no matter the level of their deception; no matter that they are active members of the mystery of iniquity: believers do not struggle against flesh and blood, but against the deceiving spiritual powers behind men.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. “
—Ephesians 6:12
As such, one offers the lost the gospel.
And prays.
THE GOSPEL
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”

Jesus draws all men to Himself. [John 12:32] But ultimately, the person involved has to accept the free gift of salvation.
The enemy works hard to ensure that man looks to anything or anyone else other than Jesus Christ. Satan flashes any number of distractions and makes a vast array of promises to his followers he has no intention of keeping in order to keep the lost from the narrow way.
After a while, if men continue to reject the truth of God’s Word, God Himself will blind men’s minds to the light of the gospel.
“He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.”
—John 12:40
Ultimately, we are all just passing through this life on our way to an eternal destination: wherever that may be. And if the reader be one who doesn’t believe this, it does not matter. One can refuse to believe in gravity, but if one jumps off a tall building, their unbelief will not alter their final destination.
