SECRET HISTORY: Originally, secret histories were designed as non-fictional, revealing or claiming to reveal the truth behind the “spin”: one such example is the Secret History of the Mongols. Secret histories can range from standard historical revisionism with proper critical reexamination of historical facts to negative historical revisionism wherein facts are deliberately omitted, suppressed or distorted.

1695 – A window tax is imposed in England, causing many householders to brick up windows to avoid the tax. This is proof that governments will tax anything they believe will raise money. Among other novel government fundraisers was the Brick tax, Workplace parking levy and the beard tax.

1775 – American Revolutionary War: Battle of Quebec: British forces repulse an attack by Continental Army General Richard Montgomery. This would not be the last time Americans invaded Canada.

1862 – American Civil War: Abraham Lincoln signs an act that admits West Virginia to the Union, thus dividing Virginia in two. This is the first time a US state is partitioned because of war.

1907 – The first New Year’s Eve celebration is held in Times Square (then known as Longacre Square) in New York, New York.

1946 – President Harry S. Truman officially proclaims the end of hostilities in World War II. WWII had ceased in August 1945.

1955 – General Motors becomes the first U.S. corporation to make over US$1 billion in a year.

1991 – All official Soviet Union institutions have ceased operations by this date and the Soviet Union is officially dissolved.

1999 – First President of Russia, Boris Yeltsin, resigns from office, leaving Prime Minister Vladimir Putin as the acting President and successor.

1999 – The United States Government hands control of the Panama Canal (as well all the adjacent land to the canal known as the Panama Canal Zone) to Panama. This act complied with the signing of the 1977 Torrijos–Carter Treaties.

December 26 is that rarest of days in history: a day when not a lot happens–unless the reader was personally involved.

1799 – Four thousand people attend George Washington‘s funeral where Henry Lee III declares him as “first in war, first in peace and first in the hearts of his countrymen.”

4,000 doesn’t seem like a big turnout for the “Father of his country.” Maybe there was a Masonic event conflicting. Washington was a well-known Freemason–as were many of our presidents (that we know. How many more that are unknown. It’s likely all the US presidents have been members of the Craft.)

1846 – Trapped in snow in the Sierra Nevadas and without food, members of the Donner Party resort to cannibalism. Prior to the 20th century, the Donner Party were perhaps the best-known American cannibals.

1862 – The largest mass-hanging in U.S. history took place in Mankato, Minnesota, 38 Native Americans died.

1900 – A relief crew arrives at the lighthouse on the Flannan Isles of Scotland, UK, only to find the previous crew has disappeared without a trace.

1966 – The first Kwanzaa is celebrated by Maulana Karenga, the chair of Black Studies at California State University, Long Beach.

1996 – Six-year-old beauty queen JonBenét Ramsey is found beaten and strangled in the basement of her family’s home in Boulder, Colorado. The murder is a sad tale of likely pedophilia, police malfeasance and secret, back room dealings. The prosecutor refused to sign the grand jury’s decision to indict Ramsey’s parents. The prosecutor, Alex Hunter, was the father-in-law of presidential candidate John Edwards’ mistress, Rielle Hunter,

December 21 – In the Northern Hemisphere, December 21st is usually the shortest day of the year and is sometimes regarded as the first day of winter. In the Southern Hemisphere, December 21st is usually the longest day of the year and occurs during the southern summer.

It is also the earliest date for the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere and the summer solstice in the Southern Hemisphere, as well as the earliest date for Yule in the Northern Hemisphere, and Midsummer in the Southern Hemisphere. (Neopagan Wheel of the Year).

The winter solstice is a holiday on the pagan calendar. It is a minor sabbat on various occult and satanic calendars. The day carries a significance for a great many anti-Christian groups and is also celebrated as Yule or Yuletide.

1620 – Plymouth Colony: William Bradford and the Mayflower Pilgrims land on what is now known as Plymouth Rock in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

1826 – American settlers in Nacogdoches, Mexican Texas, declare their independence, starting the Fredonian Rebellion.

1907 – The Chilean Army commits a massacre of at least 2,000 striking saltpeter miners in Iquique, Chile.

1937 – Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the world’s first full-length animated feature, premieres at the Carthay Circle Theatre.

1968 – Apollo program: Apollo 8 is launched from the Kennedy Space Center, placing its crew on a lunar trajectory for the first visit to another celestial body by humans.

1988 – A bomb explodes on board Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, killing 270.

2012 – The world was predicted to end on December 21, 2012 according to some calendars.

1606 – The Susan Constant, the Godspeed, and the Discovery depart England carrying settlers who found, at Jamestown, Virginia, the first of the thirteen colonies that became the United States.

1776 – Thomas Paine publishes one of a series of pamphlets in The Pennsylvania Journal entitled “The American Crisis“. Paine becomes the most famous atheist among America’s founding fathers.

1912 – William Van Schaick, captain of the steamship General Slocum which caught fire and killed over 1,000 people, is pardoned by U.S. President William Howard Taft after three-and-a-half-years in Sing Sing prison.

1932 – BBC World Service begins broadcasting as the BBC Empire Service. The Corporate Media adds a foundational piece to its structure.

1956 – Irish-born physician John Bodkin Adams is arrested in connection with the suspicious deaths of more than 160 patients. Oddly enough, eventually he is convicted only of minor charges.

1967 – Harold Holt, the Prime Minister of Australia, is officially presumed dead. Holt had disappeared, presumably while swimming, two days previous.

1984 – The Sino-British Joint Declaration, stating that China would resume the exercise of sovereignty over Hong Kong and the United Kingdom would restore Hong Kong to China with effect from July 1, 1997 is signed in Beijing, China by Deng Xiaoping and Margaret Thatcher.

1998 – President Bill Clinton is impeached by the United States House of Representatives, becoming the second President of the United States to be impeached. Despite the overwhelming evidence of having lied under oath, he is acquitted by the US Senate.

497 BC – The first Saturnalia festival was celebrated in ancient Rome. This pagan festival eventually was co-opted by the Roman Church and became Christmas.

In 245, Origen of Alexandria, writing about Leviticus 12:1–8, commented that Scripture mentions only sinners as celebrating their birthdays, namely Pharaoh, who then had his chief baker hanged (Genesis 40:20–22), and Herod, who then had John the Baptist beheaded (Mark 6:21–27), and mentions saints as cursing the day of their birth, namely Jeremiah (Jeremiah 20:14–15) and Job (Job 3:1–16).

942 – Assassination of William I of Normandy.

1538 – Pope Paul III excommunicates Henry VIII of England. This leads Henry to lead England out of the Church of Rome and into a organization of his own making: the Church of England–of which Henry VIII was the head. The court and courtships of Henry VIII contained many sordid characters–including one or more of his six wives.

1862 – American Civil War: General Ulysses S. Grant issues General Order No. 11, expelling Jews from parts of Tennessee, Mississippi, and Kentucky.

1892 – First issue of Vogue is published. Another weapon is added to the mystery of iniquity’s arsenal.

1903 – The Wright brothers make the first modern controlled powered, heavier-than-air flight in the Wright Flyer at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.

1943 – All Chinese are again permitted to become citizens of the United States with the repealing of the Act of 1882 and the introduction of the Magnuson Act.

1957 – The United States successfully launches the first Atlas intercontinental ballistic missile at Cape Canaveral, Florida.

1967 – Australian Prime Minister Harold Holt disappears while swimming near Portsea, Victoria, and is presumed drowned. His body is never found.

1969 – Project Blue Book: The United States Air Force closes its study of UFOs. Project Blue Book had the practical effect of popularizing the notion of UFOs and aliens in the United States. Before Blue Book, only 2% of Americans believed in extraterrestrial life.

2010 – Mohamed Bouazizi sets himself on fire. This act became the catalyst for the Tunisian Revolution and supposedly the wider Arab Spring.

1542 – Princess Mary Stuart becomes Mary, Queen of Scots.

1782 – The Montgolfier brothers‘ first balloon lifts off on its first test flight. Heavier than air flight is publicly acknowledged for the first time in centuries.

1836 – The Toledo War unofficially ends. Michigan and Ohio square off 24 years before the Civil War.

1900 – Quantum mechanics: Max Planck presents a theoretical derivation of his black-body radiation law. Science increasingly trades what is measurable and observable for the metaphysical in nature.

1918 – Portuguese President Sidónio Pais is assassinated.

1939 – Winter War: The Soviet Union is expelled from the League of Nations for invading Finland. The League of Nations, a forerunner to the United Nations, proves it is just as ineffective as the UN in its stated purpose: preventing war.

2003 – Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf narrowly escapes an assassination attempt.

1098 – First Crusade: Siege of Ma’arrat al-Numan – Crusaders breach the town’s walls and massacre about 20,000 inhabitants. After finding themselves with insufficient food, they reportedly resort to cannibalism.

The Crusades were supposedly a Christian Holy War to reclaim the Holy Land from the Muslims. It was neither Christian nor holy. The Crusades were naked plays for power on this earth by those who claimed to be Christians. They were military campaigns and their goal was power, earthly riches and control.

1408 – The Order of the Dragon a monarchical chivalric order is created by Sigismund of Luxembourg, then King of Hungary. Throughout history, supposedly Christian men and women have used the dragon–and the serpent–as their symbol.

“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world:”

1911 – Delhi replaces Calcutta as the capital of India.

1917 – In Nebraska, Father Edward J. Flanagan founds Boys Town as a farm village for wayward boys. Boy’s Town became the center of pedophilia charges. A number of accusers ended up disappearing or murdered.

1937 – Second Sino-Japanese War: USS Panay incident – Japanese aircraft bomb and sink U.S. gunboat USS Panay on the Yangtze river in China. This attack was almost four years prior to Pearl Harbor.

2000 – The United States Supreme Court releases its decision in Bush v. Gore.
