1519 – Ferdinand Magellan‘s five ships set sail from Seville to circumnavigate the globe. The Basque second in command Juan Sebastián Elcano will complete the expedition after Magellan’s death in the Philippines.

1680- Pueblo Indians revolt against Spaniards in New Mexico.

1755 – Under the orders of Charles Lawrence, the British Army begins to forcibly deport the Acadians from Nova Scotia to the Thirteen Colonies. Many end up in the French colony of New Orleans.

1792– French Revolution: Storming of the Tuileries Palace – Louis XVI of France is arrested and taken into custody as his Swiss Guards are massacred by the Parisian mob.

1827- Race riots in Cincinnati; 1,000 blacks leave for Canada.

1831- Former slave Nat Turner led violent insurrection against slavery.

1833- Chicago incorporates as a village of about 200.

1835- Mob of whites & oxen pulled black school into a swamp out of Canaan NH.

1856- The Party’s Over: Hurricane washes away 2-300 revelers at Last Island, Louisiana.

1893- Chinese deported from San Francisco under Exclusion Act.

1919- Ukrainian National Army massacres 25 Jews in Podolia Ukraine.

1920 – World War I: Ottoman sultan Mehmed VI‘s representatives sign the Treaty of Sèvres that divides up the Ottoman Empire between the Allies.

1944- Race riots in Athens Alabama.

1948- ABC enters network TV at 7 PM (WJZ, NY).

1949 – U.S. President Harry S. Truman signs the National Security Act Amendment, streamlining the defense agencies of the United States government, and replacing the Department of War with the United States Department of Defense.

1961 – First use in Vietnam War of the Agent Orange by the U.S. Army.

1966- Daylight meteor seen from Utah to Canada. Only known case of a meteor entering the Earth’s atmosphere & leaving it again.

1969 – A day after murdering Sharon Tate and four others, members of Charles Manson‘s cult kill Leno and Rosemary LaBianca.

1977 – In Yonkers, New York, 24-year-old postal employee David Berkowitz (“Son of Sam”) is arrested for a series of killings in the New York City area over the period of one year.

1981 – Murder of Adam Walsh: the head of John Walsh‘s son is found. This inspires the creation of the television series America’s Most Wanted.

1981- Coca-Cola Bottling Co agrees to pump $34 million into black businesses.

1987- DIED: Clara Peller actress, Wendy’s “Where’s the Beef?” commercials, dies at 86.

1988 – 40 Years After the Fact:  Japanese American internment: U.S. President Ronald Reagan signs the Civil Liberties Act of 1988, providing $20,000 payments to Japanese Americans who were either interned in or relocated by the United States during World War II.

1990 – More than 127 Muslims are killed in North East Sri Lanka by paramilitary troops.

1995 – Oklahoma City bombing: Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols are indicted for the bombing. Michael Fortier pleads guilty in a plea-bargain for his testimony.

2001 – 2001 Angola train attack, 252 deaths.

1793- The insurrection of Lyon occurs during the French Revolution.

1844 – The Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, headed by Brigham Young, is reaffirmed as the leading body of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church).

1844- Brigham Young chosen Mormon Church head following Joseph Smith death [Is Mormonism a cult?]

1868- Quake destroys Arica Chile.

1910- The Sacred Congregation of the Sacraments in the Vatican issued the decree “Quam singulari,” which recommended that children be permitted to receive Holy Communion as soon as they reached the “age of discretion.”

1919- Treaty of Rawalpindi, British finally recognize Afghanistan’s independence after fighting three wars with the Afghans.

1930- BORN: 1930 Andy Warhol artist/movie producer

1942- Six convicted Nazi saboteurs who landed in US executed in Washington DC. George John Dasch received the most publicity of the six.

1945- Masonic President Harry S Truman signs UN Charter.

1945- USSR establishes a communist government in North Korea, ensuring the basis for the Korean War.

1946 – First flight of the Convair B-36, the world’s first mass-produced nuclear weapon delivery vehicle.

1953- USA and South Korea initial a mutual security pact.

1956- Fire & explosion kill 263 miners at Marcinelle, Belgium.

1963- Great Train Robbery in England.

1968- Race riot in Miami Florida.

1973- VP Spiro T Agnew branded as “damned lies” reports he took kickbacks from govt contracts in Maryland. He vowed not to resign.

1973 – Kim Dae-jung, a South Korean politician and later president of South Korea, is kidnapped.

1974- President Richard M Nixon announced he’d resign his office 12PM on August 9. The resignations of Agnew and Nixon elevate Gerald Ford (born Leslie Lynch King, Jr.) to the presidency as the first non-elected American president.

1976- DIED: John “Handsome Johnny” Roselli hired by CIA to kill Castro, found murdered

1983- Brigadier General Efrain Rios Montt was deposed as president of Guatemala.

1988- Jennifer Levin‘s parents file $25M suit against Dorrian Red Hand Bar.

1988- Russian troops begin pull out of Afghanistan after 9-year war.

1988- Secretary of State George Shultz narrowly escapes assassin attempt in Bolivia.

1988- Temperature hits a high of 88 on 8/8/88 in NYC.

1990 – Iraq occupies Kuwait and the state is annexed to Iraq. This would lead to the Gulf War shortly afterward.

1991 – The Warsaw radio mast, at one time the tallest construction of man ever built, collapses.

2007 – An EF2 tornado touches down in Kings County and Richmond County, New York, the most powerful tornado in New York to date and the first in Brooklyn since 1889.

2010 – 2010 China floods: A mudslide in Zhugqu County, Gansu, China, kills more than 1,400 people.

1409- The Council of Pisa closed. Convened to end the Great Schism (1378-1417) caused by two rival popes, the Council in fact elected a third claimant, Alexander V.

1620- Johannes Kepler‘s mother arrested for witchcraft

1794 – U.S. President George Washington invokes the Militia Acts of 1792 to suppress the Whiskey Rebellion centered around Washington, PA in western Pennsylvania.

1876- BORN: Mata Hari dancer/courtesan/spy; World War I

1882- Hatfields and McCoys feud, 100 wounded or die

1904- BORN: Ralph J Bunche, a NEW WORLD ORDER guru; one of the planners of the UN; Nobel Prize winner (1950) for his work in Palestine.

1929- BORN: Ruth Carter Stapleton, sister of president Jimmy Carter, friend of pornographer, Larry Flynt, and practitioner of “inner healing.” [Inner Healing/Healing of Memories: Christian or Occult?]

1930 – The last confirmed lynching of blacks in the Northern United States occurs in Marion, Indiana. Two men, Thomas Shipp and Abram Smith, are killed.

1941- 551 Jews are shot in Kishnev ghetto in Romania

1944 – IBM dedicates the first program-controlled calculator, the Automatic Sequence Controlled Calculator (known best as the Harvard Mark I). The road to computer-controlled government surveillance begins.

1964- US Congress approves Gulf of Tonkin Resolution for “non-existent attack on US Navy ship.”

1965 – The infamous first Reyes party between Ken Kesey‘s Merry Pranksters and motorcycle gang the Hells Angels takes place at Kesey’s estate in La Honda, California introducing psychedelics to the gang world and forever linking the hippie movement to the Hell’s Angels.

1966- Race riot in Lansing Michigan

1970- Four, including presiding judge, killed in courthouse shootout in San Rafael, Calif (Police charge Angela Davis provided weapons)

1974- Philippe Petit walks tightrope strung between the twin towers of the World Trade Center

1985 – The White House Farm murders took place near the English village of Tolleshunt D’Arcy, Essex, England.

1990- Desert Shield begin-US deploys troops to Saudi Arabia

1991- DIED: Shottzie Cincinnati Reds dog mascot, dies at 9

1998 – The United States embassy bombings in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and Nairobi, Kenya kill approximately 212 people.

2012 – Three gunmen kill 19 people in at Deeper Life evangelical church near Okene, Nigeria.

1861- Congress passes Confiscation Act. It freed the slaves of any rebelling Southerner.

1890- First use of electric chair in US; At Auburn Prison in New York, murderer William Kemmler becomes the first person to be executed by electric chair.

1901- Kiowa land in Oklahoma is opened for white settlement, effectively dissolving the contiguous reservation.

1914- World War I ratchets up. Austria-Hungary declares war against Russia. Serbia declares war against Germany.

1990- UN Security Council votes 13-0 (2 abstentions Cuba & Yemen) to place economic sanctions against Iraq

1991- Harry Reasoner, a member in good standing of the Corporate Media, dies.

2001- Erwadi fire incident, 28 mentally ill persons tied to chain were burnt to death at an Islamic institution at Erwadi, Tamil Nadu.

2010- Flash floods across a large part of Jammu and Kashmir, India, damages 71 towns and kills at least 255 people.

1665- Eight Quakers imprisoned upon arriving at Boston. The Puritans looked upon the Quakers as “apostate.”

1772- First Partition of Poland between Austria, Russia and Prussia.  It’s been speculated [Power and Secrets of the Jesuits, page 385] that the Jesuits were behind the three partitions of Poland–making Poland disappear from the maps of Europe.

1860- Joseph Carey Merrick, The Elephant Man, was born.

1861- U.S. Army abolishes flogging.

1861- USA levies first income tax. [3% of all income over $800.]

1884- Cornerstone laid for Statue of Liberty on Bedloe’s Island, NY.  The Masons laid the cornerstone. Since its beginning, the Statue of Liberty has been associated, not only with its profane symbolism of liberty, but with the occult as well. [Is the Statue of Liberty pagan?]

1914- First traffic light installed in Cleveland OH.

1914- Treaty signed with Nicaragua, granting the USA canal rights.  The canal was eventually built in Panama. The Nicaragua Canal] is now in the planning stages; to be built by China.

1914- Germans assault on Liege France begins first battle of World War 1.

1926- U.S. intelligence asset, Harry Houdini, stays underwater in a coffin for one hour. [Harry Houdini was a covert agent, new book claims]

1944- Nazis begin massacre of 40,000-100,000 civilians and prisoners at camp in Wola, Poland.

1945- Atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima Japan.  It was August 6 in Japan. The Manhattan Project, the top-secret project to develop the atomic bomb, was the largest conspiracy theory in history, employing over 130,000 people and spanning 3 countries.  The secrecy of the project was legendary.

1957- American Bandstand goes on the air (ABC).

1962- Nelson Mandela arrested for incitement and illegally leaving South Africa. He would not be released until 1990.

1966- Martin Luther King, Jr. stoned during march in Chicago.

1974- Congress cuts aid to South Vietnam.

1981- Federal government begins firing air traffic controllers.

1988- Rep. Mario Biaggi (D-NY) convicted of racketeering; resigns congressional seat.

2003- A car bomb explodes in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta outside the Marriott Hotel killing 12 and injuring 150.

2012- The Oak Creek shooting took place at a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, killing six people; the perpetrator was shot dead by police.

1882- Congress passes first law restricting immigration.

1900- BORN: John T. Scopes, Tennessee teacher convicted for teaching evolution.

1914- Germany declares war on France and invades Belgium during WWI.

1940- Lithuania is incorporated into the USSR as Lithuanian SSR.

1955- Hurricane Cpnnie begins pounding the USA for 11 days.

1965- News shows in USA show Marines burning a Vietnamese village.

1973- Fire kills 51 at amusement park on Isle of Man (UK)

1975- 500 drown when two boat collide in China’s West River.

1975- Boeing 707 crashes into mountain in Morocco killing all 189 on board.

1977- Radio Shack press release announces the TRS-80 personal computer.  Only 25 existed but within weeks, thousands are ordered.

1982- MIchael Hardwick is arrested for sodomy in Georgia in a case which touched off court cases.  Sodomy laws in the USA were basically declared uncon- stitutional in 2003 by the US Supreme Court. Ten years later, the US Supreme Court would basically declare laws restricting marriage to one man and one woman unconstitutional.

1989- Lawrence Delisle drives his four kids into a river.

1907- The Vatican issued the decree “Ne temere,” declaring that marriages of Catholics were valid only if celebrated before a duly qualified priest and at least two witnesses.

1923- 29th president of the United States, Warren G. Harding, died in San Francisco; Vice President Calvin Coolidge became president. Speculation is that Harding was poisoned.

1934- Paul Von Hindenburg dies at 86, Adolph Hitler takes over presidency of Germany.

1939- Albert Einstein urged the USA to begin work on the atomic bomb.

1941- Jews are expelled from Hungarian Ruthenia

1961- Beatles 1st gig as house band of Liverpool’s Cavern Club

1964- U.S. claims North Vietnam has fired on a US destroyer in Gulf of Tonkin. Basis for U.S. escalation of the Vietnam War established.

1964- Race riot in Jersey City NJ

1965- CBS News’ Morley Safer’s sends 1st Vietnam report indicating we are losing. More escalation of war is deemed necessary.

1972- Gold hits record $70 an ounce in London

1985- 5 die in a train crash in Westminster Colo.

1985- 135 people killed when a Delta Air Lines jetliner crashed while attempting to land at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

1990- Iraq invades & occupies Kuwait

1991- Funk singer Rick James, arrested on sexual torture charges

2003- Saddam Hussein’s two elder sons and a grandson were buried as martyrs.

2008- Police in southern Afghanistan reported a bus carrying a wedding party had struck a mine, killing 10 people, including the bride and groom.

OCCULT – August 2 is the first day after the time of the Great Festival.  July 31 – August 1 – Lughnasa, Great Sabbat Festival. August – One of the Illuminati’s Human Sacrifice Nights.
