SYRIA: 25 percent favor military action in Iraq or Syria if al-Qaeda takes over – One suspects this 25 percent will get their wish. And soon.
ISRAEL: Zion Oil & Gas Inc. Re-enters Elijah #3 Well — Oilfield Operations – How cute. They’re naming oil wells after Bible prophets. Does that mean that the strictly-secular country known as Israel is pumping anointed oil?

55 percent think there will be a noticeable change if Democrats win; 49 percent think the same if GOP wins – And this is one of those times when both sides would be correct! There is going to be ‘noticeable change’ regardless of who wins! Regardless of which side wins, its supporters will wring their hands over why their representatives are not doing what the folks back home thought they were going to do.
Candidate wants to move national Capital to Nebraska – Will the same Senators, Congressmen and the rest of the cartel be moving with it?
Rasmussen Employment Index rises – Clever. This ‘index’ measures ‘worker confidence.’ That is not the same as “jobs.” That’s why the Corporate Media (Rasmussen) can claim “the employment picture is getting better!” when more people are out of work. Again, clever.
US Supreme Court Puts Hold on Gay Marriage in Utah
“The Supreme Court has halted gay marriages in Utah. The Supreme Court said that in Utah marriage is still a sacred bond between a man and his six wives.”

Mitch McConnell: If we win, we’ll fix the Senate – Sure you will, Mitch! Just like you fixed it in 1981-87 or 1995-2001 or 2003-07 or any of the other times the Republicans were in power since you’ve been elected a U.S. senator.
One suspects that the frustration level of long-suffering Americans will one day soon reach its limit.
Which is likely the reason for the total disregard the cartel in The DC (Den of Corruption) has for the desires of the folks back home.
All Kentuckians would have to do is read a list of laws, positions and various and sundry items Mitch McConnell has supported over the years and that would probably be enough to permanently drive a stake through the heart of McConnell’s elite political career.

This week’s Scandal of the Week is brought to you by NJ governor, Chris Christie.
Governor Chris Christie, “BridgeGate Scandal” – Just another of the inconsequential controversies to which the media continually treats the American public. Nothing much ever happens from these “scandals.” There’s so many of them that most can’t even remember last week’s dirty laundry.
Make no mistake: it’s not because the countless scandals and “gates” are not important. They are. It’s not because the actors are usually guilty. They are. Then why are these scandals more of a distraction these days?
Because there are usually no consequences beyond the political perp resigning from office–if that.
Big deal.
Then why all of the media attention?
One reason: like it or not, leaders are a reflection of the society they represent. Voters can moan all they want about the criminal who represents them, but sorry: he’s just a reflection of American society at large. No better, occasionally worse.
Reporting 24/7 on the antics of the political cartel is a form of inoculating the American public to the crime, corrosion and corruption that surrounds them. This societal sludge pit is mirrored in their political class.
After awhile, a defense mechanism kicks in. Americans tend to shut down the constant barrage of sleaze being slung at them by the Corporate Media’s scandal reports. While society waxes worse and worse, the people forced to live in such a cesspool retreat into sports, video games and social media. This sad situation also contributes to the “Everyone is doing it–even our leaders!” mentality.
And that’s one of the reasons we’re seeing more scandals and less results from the constant reporting of them.
Christie Unfit for Office? – Why not?
Remember back in January 2010, when conservatives were soooooo in love with New Jersey’s Chris Christie that they were talking about ‘Christie for Prez’ within days after he was elected governor of America’s Most Corrupt State (and the title of Most Corrupt State is such a competitive one!)?
What’s changed since then? Has Christie changed?
No, he’s still the same Big Government, Big Pizza-loving guy that he’s always been. Then what’s changed?
The thing that always changes: voters get acquainted with the pig in the poke they buy every four years from the Corporate Media. The media hypes one of two cartel members; voters pick one of the two as “their sweetheart” without knowing anything more than what the media has told them.
It’s the political equivalent to the bait-and-switch con. There are a LOT of con games that politics and the media engages in, but that’s another article…
