There is much talk today among those who inhabit the apostate churches about discipleship. Like “unity,” it seems some days, “discipleship” is all the pretenders want to talk about.
But what the apostate churches and the wolves in the pulpit say about discipleship is much different than what Jesus Himself had to say.
The wolves and tall-tale-tellers use the word “discipleship” to mean “a period of heavy, intense indoctrination“–by the wolves. They do not want the person who has expressed an interest in Jesus Christ to study the Bible. Oh no: like the Pharisees, they will instruct those interested. They will teach them what they say the Bible says.
This new type of “discipleship” is merely a tool of deception in the end times toolbox of the dragon [Satan].
DISCIPLESHIP, JESUS-STYLE
IF we’re to follow Jesus, He had a few simple rules.
Very simple, but the churches do not teach them because though they are simple, they are hard to follow. The churches would be empty for the most part if the pew-sitters had to stick to what the Bible teaches.
1 Jesus must come first.
If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
—Luke 14:26
2 You must deny yourself. (Separate from the world).
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
—Matthew 16:24
And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
—Luke 14:27
3 Nothing in this present world must be more important than Jesus.
So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
—Luke 14:33
Jesus also advised ANYONE thinking of following him to “count the cost” first.
Be sure you know what you are getting into before you say “Hey, I’m a Christian.” Because so few “count the cost,” they bring reproach upon the name of Jesus because they profess to be a Christian without really converting.
For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
—Luke 14:28-29
Pretty simple, huh?
It seems hard to take these simple commands of Jesus and turn them into the 8-week courses popular in the fraud churches. That’s why the churches, for the most part, completely ignore what Jesus said about being a disciple and concentrate on making their own rules.
Again, the churches want to talk about “discipleship.”
But they are terrified to talk about what Jesus taught on the subject.
IRAN: A UN vote is irrelevant to the Iran deal – Here’s a dirty, little secret: ALL U.N. votes are irrelevant. The elites pretend they mean something. The puppets at the top of the countries pretend they mean something. The Corporate Media pretend they mean something.
But in reality: they mean absolutely nothing–unless everyone pretends otherwise.
ISRAEL: Netanyahu declares victory – Satan’s Mouthpiece will try to make a done deal look like an iffy proposition. So it was with the media predictions of uber-puppet Netanyahu’s demise.
Benjamin Netayahu was never going anywhere other than back to head the secular Israeli government–though the Corporate Media tried to make the ride back look like it was full of thrills, chills and spills.
Because we’re over 19 months away from Election Day 2016, the Corporate Media will generate interest by clapping on command for also-runs such as Walker and Rubio.
One can’t help but notice that Ted Cruz is noticeably absent from the Fearsome Foursome. This after the Corporate Media has treated the American people to an almost-daily barrage of favorable Ted Cruz pieces (just like it did for Barack Obama prior to 2008!) for the past several years.
IF Satan’s Mouthpiece’s past history is any indication of future performance, the media will stay fairly silent on Ted Cruz until shortly before January and Iowa. Then it will turn up the heat, not necessarily shilling for Cruz, but one-by-one focusing attacks on his competition.
DON’T PUT YOUR TRUST IN THE SCHEMES OF MAN/POLITICS.
Would a Supreme Court decision in favor of gay marriage end the religious right? – No way. As long as there is one dollar left to be vacuumed from the wallets of the gullible, the religious right will continue to operate. However, one suspects that the mystery of iniquity will continue to fund the religious right long after the last coin is collected from the fleece-able.
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
THE GOSPEL
“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
–1 Corinthians 15:3-4– (h/t:B)
“Pope Francis said that one of the things he misses most about ordinary life is the ability to go out and eat pizza without being recognized. I wouldn’t worry. Nobody’s going to believe the guy who works at the pizza place when he says, “Hey, you know who came in today? The Pope.”
–Seth Meyers
“We’ve broken the back of winter. And now here in New York City it’s the beginning of the pothole season. Earlier today Mayor de Blasio cut the ribbon on a brand-new one over on 8th Ave.”
–David Letterman
MEDIA NARRATIVES ALERT
“How can the reader know when the Corporate Media is lying to him (never mind the fact that the media is Satan’s Mouthpiece and Satan is the father of lies)? One easy way to tell is the use of “Why” and “How” in the headlines of an article. When the reader sees “Why?” or “How?” in the headline–occasionally “What” is used–that which follows will be a fairy tale, a narrative, a bedtime story spun by the media for the benefit of the media’s master. “Why” usually denotes an on-going narrative; “How” signifies a story line which explains past events. Not all narratives begin with “How” or “Why.” However, the most in-your-face, over-the-top ones usually do.
Professors warn that American jobs are ‘up for grabs’ – Because there are less American jobs–and the number will continue to shrink–those chasing The American Dream will become even more determined to share in “the good life” of this present world. This includes almost all of those sitting in the apostate churches.
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
—1 John 2:15
One can see why 1 John 2:15 isn’t particularly popular in the apostate churches.
Because they want the rewards of this world so badly, they will compromise more and more in order to collect the trinkets offered by the world.
“But I have to live my life!”
“God wants me to pay my tithes!”
“How can God bless me if I don’t have a job?”
“God doesn’t want me to be poor! That’s ridiculous!”
The ungodly statements made by supposedly-godly people will get worse and worse.
The Problem With History Classes – The problem with history isn’t the “perspective.” The problem with history is that it is a collection of half-truths, lies, tall tales and propaganda.
“Who controls the past controls the future; who controls the present controls the past.”
–George Orwell, Nineteen Eighty-Four
STUDY: Workplace suicides on rise – There are suicides and there are deaths ruled as “suicides.” Suicide was rarely mentioned in the Bible.
