A Complete End Times Guide to Witches and Witchcraft

WITCHCRAFT

There is MUCH written in God’s Word about witches and witchcraft.

NONE of what is written is encouraging to those who follow this dark path.

Probably the passage which MOST condemns witches and witchcraft and WHY is in Deuteronomy.

“There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD”
–Deuteronomy 18:10-12

BUT, the verses in Deuteronomy 18 are NOT the only warnings against witches and witchcraft in God’s Word.

“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. “
–1SAMUEL 15:23

FINALLY, there is God’s command in Exodus, which is VERY clear.

“Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.”
–Exodus 22:18

This echoes Leviticus 20:27.

“A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.”
–Leviticus 20:27

Witches are DECEIVERS.

They begin by deceiving listeners to where they obtain their power. Witches do NOT get power from ‘spells’ or ‘hexes.’ Witches obtain their power SOLELY from familiar spirits, a form of devil who HATES human (including witches). God’s Word is NOT shy about broadcasting this FACT.

1SAMUEL relates the account of King Saul of Israel visiting a lady called ‘the Witch of Endor’. This is one of the reasons God let Saul die.

“Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor. And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee. And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die? And Saul sware to her by the LORD, saying, As the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing. Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel. And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul. And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself. And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself. And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do. Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy? And the LORD hath done to him, as he spake by me: for the LORD hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbour, even to David: Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing unto thee this day. Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines: and to morrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me: the LORD also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines. Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore afraid, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night.”

There are two groups of individuals called The Craft. One is witches; the other is Freemasons.

Does the reader have any clues as to why this might be?

Witches do NOT enjoy very strong powers. The too-many-to-count-stories of witches being burned at the stake and otherwise killed attest to this.

Yes, witches DO have access to supernatural power not possessed of most other humans.

No, this power is NOT strong enough to protect the witch from harm.

OR, may it IS strong enough–but the spirit chooses NOT to use his power to protect the witch?

Witches are at this moment enjoying a revival of sorts in the media, which cannot find enough good things to say about the witch.

Along with this campaign to spruce up the history of witchcraft, is another media campaign which paints witches and witchcraft as just another ‘lifestyle choice’–instead of a choice between sin and righteousness.

Can the reader hazard a guess as to why the timing of these two campaigns are what they are?

Many witches want the world to know that they are NO different than the next gal.  But these women who are witches have familiar spirits–which is a BIG no-no in the Bible.

The recruitment of women to be witches is almost always aimed at those groups who traditionally have little power: mostly teen-age girls.  Witchcraft becomes VERY attractive to this group of powerless women because witchcraft offers them the hope of becoming POWERFUL.

From experience, the reader should be able to discern that this is largely a FALSE HOPE.

Some REAL Local High Drama

DRAMA

It is a RARE occasion whenever one gets to observe DRAMA.

It is an EVEN MORE RARE event to witness HIGH DRAMA taking place.

high drama:
An event or atmosphere of strong emotion, typically of anxiety or excitement.

It is not quite so RARE when one is informed of events of HIGH DRAMA, though this occurs infrequently.

And so it was that this writer became aware of some REAL LOCAL HIGH DRAMA which took place a few miles away this past week, which was excitedly related to this writer by DOZENS of eye witnesses.

NOW, a great many folks claimed to be ‘eye witnesses’ to the events of this HIGH DRAMA, but that does NOT mean that there were a great many folks present.  Folks like to claim that they were present whenever a historic or memorable event took place.

The two people involved in the proceedings we will call JEREMY (not his real name) and AMY (not her real name).  Never let it be said that measures were not taken to protect the identities of everyone who was involved.

At any rate, JEREMY and AMY were involved in a confrontation which came to a DRAMATIC end.

JEREMY is a retired pagan minister of sorts who specialized–when he was younger–in recruiting others into his religion.  He has a bit of a temper and has been known to bend the truth from time to time.  JEREMY is a small, older man who is friendly and fairly easy to talk to.

AMY is the repository of MANY vices.  She–if the local chatter is to be believed–gambles her government check away every month and then mooches off anyone she can find. AMY is extremely friendly when she is hitting someone up for something she wants.

Apparently, JEREMY and AMY had a confrontation between them about a chair which went missing. JEREMY insisted it was AMY who took the chair; Amy was just as insistent that she does NOT take the chairs of others.

The HIGH DRAMA occurred when JEREMY and AMY tried to settle the matter of the missing chair. JEREMY resorted to VIOLENCE and began hitting AMY over the head with one of his CANES.  AMY then called the police and they arrived shortly and told JEREMY that he could NOT hit AMY anymore.

Someone offered that they thought JEREMY was under the influence of mind-altering drugs when this occurred–BUT this writer had NO way of confirming this.

“He’s always high all of the time.”

Today it was learned that JEREMY is facing EVICTION and this is to be expected: you cannot have a person roaming around who hits people on the head with their CANE to settle a matter.

THESE events made up the HIGH DRAMA faced by the locals this past week.

NOW, the HIGH DRAMA which took place over the past week was NOT of the end times variety.

It is HIGHLY EXPECTED the end times HIGH DRAMA will ALSO feature confrontation, excitement and anxiety all wrapped into one package.

The confrontations will NOT be about missing chairs.

The confrontations WILL be about good and evil.

Those workers of iniquity will be trying to confuse the onlookers about good and evil as these confrontations happen.

“Hey!  I was just…”

In The Garden of Allah

This past week, a VERY interesting email was received–presumably from a reader.

The email had NO information in it–with the exception of the lyrics to a song nearly 28-years-old.

The song was titled, “In the Garden of Allah” (or “The Garden of Allah“) The Garden of Allah is a MUSLIM phrase which denotes the location of paradise.

The song was written and performed by Don Henley, one of the founding members of the ultra-successful rock band, The Eagles AND was a song played near the END of Henley’s successful solo career after he had finished with the Eagles.

The lyrics proved to be a revelation as this writer had heard the song years ago–but didn’t pay too much attention to it.

The email was interesting because it contained the lyrics of the song–and nothing else.

The lyrics tell a story of a visit by the devil to a modern man who is lounging outside of a hotel.

Perhaps the hotel was named the Garden of Allah?

According to Wikipedia, a number of modern locations are named the Garden of Allah, as well as a number of other items.

At any rate, Satan shows up and has a few observations about how wicked and evil modern man has become.  The devil also complains that modern man has become so accomplished at being wicked that Satan has become OBSOLETE.

“It was pretty big year for predators
The marketplace was on a roll
And the land of opportunity
Spawned a whole new breed of men without souls
This year notoriety got all confused with fame
And the devil is downhearted babe, cause
There’s nothing left for him to claim.
He said it’s just like home
It’s so low-down I can’t stand it
I guess my work around here has all been done”

The song’s words pose an interesting question.

Yes, there is NO question that modern man has become worse and worse and worse as the end times approach.

“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
–2TIMOTHY 3:13

BUT, has modern man become so accomplished at engaging in evilness that he has made the devil of no consequence?

Does the devil REALLY have little to do during the end times?

It seems that Henley may have penned a piece of pro-Satan propaganda when he wrote the lyrics.

Satan operates MOST EFFECTIVELY if one is NOT aware of him or his wiles.  So, maybe the devil is still around and STILL tempting man (God’s Word maintains that Satan will be around tempting man and causing all sorts of mischief UNTIL 1000 years AFTER Jesus Christ returns.) though modern man may NOT be aware of Satan’s influence?

Which is a VERY GOOD situation for the devil to be in during the end times.

SUCCESS

UNLIKE the ‘clarifications’ in the world’s media, this piece is NOT seeking to walk back ANY of the claims made for becoming a follower of Jesus.

SPECIFICALLY any claims made to achieving an improved prayer life once one became  a follower of Jesus Christ.

YES, one will notice that one’s prayers and requests are NOW answered on a regular basis.  These prayers were NOT answered so quickly or completely previously. BUT, no longer is it necessary to “reach” for answers when asked questions about prayers being answered.

NO, this change in one’s prayer life MAY NOT be immediate for several reasons.

1- FIRST and FOREMOST: God does NOT listen to the prayers of sinners.

“Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.”
–John 9:31

When one was a pagan, one operated WITHOUT God.

When one become a BELIEVER, one operates WITH the power of God.

IF one is used to operating at ‘half-speed’ then one becomes expectant that ‘half-speed’ is NATURAL and is to BE EXPECTED.

So, the pagan expects failure.

The new believer MUST learn the in’s and out’s of having a proper prayer life.

2- One must LEARN to pray SUCCESSFULLY in order to experience SUCCESS.

Does this sound like double-talk?

IT isn’t.

God’s Word lays out EXACTLY what a successful prayer life entails.

“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”
–Romans 8:26

The believer who PREVIOUSLY was a pagan has NO experience with God’s Holy Spirit praying FOR him because he has NO experience with God’s Holy Spirit.

The new follower of Jesus should UTILIZE the help provided by God’s Holy Spirit.  This may take a minute or so to develop into practice.

3- Praying with the will of God.

“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us”
–1JOHN 5:14

“And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
–Romans 8:27

It MAY take a little practice to KNOW that you are praying WITH THE WILL OF GOD (which guarantees SUCCESS!).

These are just a few of the reasons the NEW BELIEVER has to ‘get used’ to being a believer to enjoy SUCCESS in his prayer life.

God gives all of the instructions necessary for the NEW BELIEVER to access power he NOT previously enjoyed.

BUT, the NEW BELIEVER may take a few moments to process all of these instructions successfully. So, the NEW BELIEVER MAY experience some ‘bumps in the road’ INITIALLY until he becomes familiar with the entire process.

WHAT does the reader think about all of this?
