Fewer US-born citizens have jobs now than in 2007 – Of course there are 11 million fewer jobs now than 7 years ago. But why stop at 2007? Why not go back to 2001? The Corporate Media constantly emphasize the lack of jobs when referring to Obama’s record (true). When it comes to government benefits to the poor, the Corporate Media downplay the lack of jobs and insinuate that laziness and sloth are to blame for benefit rolls increasing (false).

But a third leg of that strategy has quietly created a network of family detention centers to lock up some children and their parents rather than freeing them pending deportation hearings.

The centers, which were opened this summer to receive families with children, are in Artesia, New Mexico and Karnes, Texas. Another one in Texas is scheduled to open in coming months.

There is also a Pennsylvania facility used for the same purpose.

This raises a few interesting questions.

Why is Barack Obama so intent on bringing immigrants to the USA if he is going to detain them in these newly-constructed detention centers?

Might the detention centers house others who are not illegal immigrants?

Who might the others be?

What are the chances any of these questions will be asked by the World’s Freest Press™?

As the day draws near and we are barreling toward a certain and inevitable judgment, I’ve found myself contemplating what the judgment of God looks like more often than I would like. It is not merely a philosophical or intellectual exercise, but a true and honest searching, especially in light of the fact that everywhere you turn you have preachers and pastors calling one thing or another the judgment of God, then summarily retract their statement and apologize for their insensitivity the following day.

20 Interesting facts with sources – The Internet has become a ghetto of interesting fact websites. The majority of these sites recycle the same “facts”–a great many which simply are not. This site is different: it provides sources for its facts. That was a novel enough approach to warrant a link.

Anti-IHOP author is suddenly silent?

IHOP isn’t your regular Sunday morning church, and neither are its off-shoots. How many churches do you know that have armed guards and escort folks who are asking questions, off of the premises? Isn’t the entire foundation of Christianity based upon a “seek and ye will find” premise? That doesn’t seem to apply at the International House of Prayer, where if ye seek ye will be thrown out by thy armed security guards. Something’s wrong with this picture.

Members of these groups believe they have been hand-selected by God to pray in the Apocalypse, the Second Coming of Christ and become a raised up End-Times army. They are taught to expect opposition from those that are not chosen of God. The greater the opposition, the greater the proof they are on the ordained path.

How Neo-Paganism has deceived the World and the Church: Why Nature Religions Predominiate

Eve rebelled, and after her, Adam. Eve added to what God said (He never mentioned “touch it”) and rebelled against what was said. She was deceived, believing lies from a wicked spiritual source (Satan). The Serpent offered secret, spiritual knowledge that he claimed would make them like God. The rejection of God and His revelation erases the distinction between the Creator and the creature and leaves the creature in spiritual darkness, unsure of what God has said. Occult knowledge comes from spiritually wicked sources and intends to destroy us. Yet neo-paganism has nothing but occult knowledge, having rejected divine revelation and compromised truth from general revelation (what can be known using our God-given senses and rationality). If Satan and evil spirits exist as the Bible says, then those who embrace neo-pagan occultism are at the mercy of these evil forces intent in destroying them. This is true despite the warm, romantic feelings that might deceptively accompany occult practices.

The occult is whats left when God’s Word is rejected. This is one of the primary reasons that “modern science” has devolved into little more than superstition with the “scientist” becoming a sort of witchdoctor in a white coat, issuing ridiculous pronouncements to the natives about why various phenomena are taking place.

With the noetic effects of sin and the rejection of divine revelation, we have nothing left but the occult. This means that superstition reigns. Paul encountered such superstition in Athens and used the occasion to preach to them:

So Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I observe that you are very religious in all respects. For while I was passing through and examining the objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscripti, “TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.” Therefore what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you. (Acts 17:22, 23)

Does the Bible support a doctrine of Slain in the Spirit?

From an exegetical view point the revivalist have even less support. None of the texts they cite as “proof” for this practice can be legitimately applied. All of the texts have to do with divine encounters which were extremely important to the plan of God either for Israel as a nation or for the Church. It is not enough to locate texts which denote someone falling and then interpret them to refer to being slain in the spirit. All of their comparisons are at best apples-to-apples. None of the writings of the Early Church Fathers indicate any such manifestation as part-and-parcel of normal Christian experience, in fact, they never mention it at all. One would think that these writers would have recorded some evidence of this manifestation in their writings if it was a genuine experience given by the Holy Spirit, especially one that alleges to bestow ministry calls, visions of the Lord, emotional and physical healing. Yet the historic record of the Church for almost 1,700 years is totally silent on this matter.

As I have already stated the history behind this practice is extremely questionable at best. The earliest references we have of it in America come from the Shakers, a non-Christian cult of necromancers. The familiar spirits (demons) told the Shakers at the same time in their various communes that they, the spirits, were leaving the Shakers and going to visit the “world’s people,” and would do so by various manifestations. This did occur and many Christian sects, unsound in doctrine were open to such forms of enthusiasms, and this deception continues to this day. The practice of being slain in the spirit is less than four hundred years old, and has had only marginal acceptance at best in the past. However, this has changed in our time.\

Like the world of Christian mass media, the world of Christian apologetics is fast becoming worldly. More and more “apologists” appear to be defending other doctrines and are unequally yoked with the most unbiblical of writers and radio hosts. The number of “trusted” sources are rapidly shrinking.

Jesus commanded us to “Watch” and “Take heed” and believers should constantly keep those commands in remembrance.

When one is researching, one never knows what one will find. Lately, what one is finding is a long dark trail of “Christian apologists” yoking up with whatever program, speaker or platform can give them the most exposure. Yes, mistakes can be made: this writer is proof positive of that. But a consistent record of such conduct forces the one conducting the research to either 1- ignore what has been found; or, 2- do more digging to confirm what’s been found.

It’s unsettling–and time-consuming.

Damning with faint praise is exactly what the Corporate “Supposedly-Rabidly-Pro-Obama” Media has engaged in almost since the moment that Barack Hussein Obama was elected. Using the pretext of defending Obama, the Corporate Media has taught the great majority of the USA to loathe Obama.

The exact same press strategy was used to “defend” Jimmy Carter in the months leading up to the 1980 election. The national press was wildly pro-Carter–the man could seemingly do no wrong according to the Corporate Media. From the moment Carter was elected however, the press continually damned the Georgian with faint praise–many times for the same qualities about which the media had praised Carter in the run-up to the 1976 election.

Obama himself could care less. This is the part he was chosen to play: a goof-off; weak, tone-deaf, indecisive, uncaring, aloof, effeminate, ushering in a new age of American weakness. And he has played his part to the hilt. If life were fair, Obama would have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

This is exactly the type of character the string-pullers sacrifice to further their narratives. In spite of his countless prevarications, one feels a sympathy for this president. Christians are compelled to pray for the man.

IN THE EMAIL – Urgent Prayer Request – For an event being held on Halloween (interesting choice of dates – not that it will matter to most pew-sitters) 2014. The Reformation Prayer Network of “apostle” Cindy Jacobs claims it is “a 50-state network, raising up 500,000 people to reform the United States by prayer and action.”

And so it is.

And the Bible states that this group will eventually be wildly successful in their aims.

CHARLATAN ALERT – A website constructed a David Barton Page to alert readers to the latest on Glenn Beck’s Dominionist buddy. About eight or nine months ago, this writer had a series of discussions concerning Barton with a former reader. The reader, an avowed Christian, was a huge Barton fan. A status, it’s supposed, the former reader retains to this day–unless God in His infinite mercy decided to open the poor soul’s eyes to the decidedly unChristian antics and writings of Barton.

If those sitting in the Christian Church do not have a ‘love for the truth,’ God will send them a ‘strong delusion‘ so that they will ‘believe the lie.’ Isn’t that a scary thought? That the reader might be judged to be sent “strong delusion”? Once God sends one strong delusion, there’s no coming back from that: one is damned.

“And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Shouldn’t that put the “fear of God” into those who are preaching contrary to the Word of God? Of course, one of the enemy’s strongest counters to the “fear of God” is PRIDE.

Osteenification and what it portends – A few caveats first.

1- Joel Osteen is the popular “lightning rod” of American Christianity. Many can easily spot (though many can’t) what Osteen is about, congratulate themselves on having discernment, meanwhile completely overlooking the many other heresies marching through the Christian Church.
2- The website from which this article is taken is a “spiritual” website that’s a veritable Babylonian mishmash of “spiritual” viewpoints.
3- There are well-publicized questions concerning the author, Hank Hanegraaff (“The Bible Answer Man”).

That being said, the article does point out one of Osteen’s most egregious errors: self affirmation. [Emphasis added.]

But here’s the problem. Behind Osteenian self-affirmations—“I am anointed,” “I am prosperous,” “My God is a ‘supersizing God’”—there lies a darker hue. Behind the smile is a robust emphasis on all that is negative. If you are healthy and wealthy, words created that reality. However, if you find yourself in dire financial straits, contract cancer, or, God forbid, die an early death, your words are the prime suspect. Says Osteen, “We’re going to get exactly what we’re saying. And this can be good or it can be bad” (Discover the Champion in You, May 3, 2004). In evidence, he cites one illustration after the other. One in particular caught my attention: the story of a “kind and friendly” worker at the church. He died at an early age, contends Osteen, “being snared by the words of his mouth” (I Declare [FaithWords, 2012], viii–ix).

“We’re going to get exactly what we say.”

That’s occult. That’s an occult doctrine and an occult practice.

Christians who use the “Life and death are in the power of the tongue” to justify self-affirmation might do a bit of study to determine what that verse means. It does not confirm occult methodology: self-visualization, self-affirmations, positive confessions, name-it-and-claim-it, say-it-see-it, etc.

The occult and the power behind the occult is an enemy of God.

The Rabbi who found the Messiah: Yitzhak Kaduri and his end times prophecies – Ah, Rabbi Kaduri, we meet again!

Yitzhak Kaduri, who was Israel’s leading rabbi of the Kabbalah (Jewish esoteric magic and witchcraft) was a person who gave prophecies and dispensed magic. Kaduri famously made a lot of money through the sale of his magic amulets, which were supposedly helpful to those looking for divine protection, fertility, health and wealth.

So Yitzhak Kaduri was like the Benny Hinn of Israel–only perhaps worse, because Hinn, to this writer’s knowledge has never openly espoused the Kabbalah.

Several things are interesting about this Kaduri prophecy.

1- Kaduri spent most of his life pursuing power from the enemies of God. Might that suggest the source of this prophecy?

2- There is no record of Kaduri ever repenting and turning to Jesus. His ‘prophecies’ spoke of a “coming Messiah” and a “coming Christ.” Before Christians see Jesus’ Second Coming, one suspects they’ll get a good look at Kaduri’s ‘Messiah’ first.
