It’s been observed that Satan doesn’t dispute what the Bible says about what’s to come upon the earth in the end times. The father of lies doesn’t argue with God’s Word.
No, the dragon and his minions rarely ever debate what God says will come to pass.
Instead, they offer alternative versions or they try to discredit God’s Word. To this end, the tremendous promotion of the devil’s version of the end times in such popular works as Late, Great Planet Earth and the Left Behind series have been undertaken.
Close to 100,000,000 copies of the two (and their spin-offs) have been sold. Most of those in the churches know the unbiblical Left Behind version of the end times better than they know what God’s Word actually says.
A revealing example of the way Satan works is offered from the 1998 movie, The Devil’s Advocate.
In the movie, Satan has a son, Kevin. They are discussing what God’s Word says about Satan’s grand schemes for the end times.
Kevin: “In the Bible you lose. We’re destined to lose dad.”
Satan: “Well consider the source son.”
The same happened when the devil tempted Jesus in the wilderness. In his attempts to trip up Jesus, Satan twisted Scripture to fit his alternate view. Jesus answered each temptation with “It is written” and quoted the appropriate Bible verse.
When Jesus quoted the appropriate Scripture, exposing the lie of the devil, Satan did not dispute God’s Word.
Instead, he changed the subject and then, finally left.
Satan has not changed his tactics. His workers of iniquity are ever busy corrupting God’s Word and offering their own scenarios. They rarely dispute the Bible; instead, they try to discredit it and offer their own version of events.
This is particularly true in the churches and in the “discernment ministries” which the enemy has multiplied throughout the earth to do his will.
However, if one does not know the Bible, one then usually takes what is offered as the “truth.” Believers are urged to study the Bible diligently.
This is for the believer’s protection.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Temple of God: What does the Bible say about an end times temple of God? IF a third Jewish Temple is erected, will that be the temple of God referred to by the apostle Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2? Satan has his own version of end times events. This version differs significantly from what can be found in the Bible. There are a few reasons that the enemy has carefully constructed his end times scenario over the last 180-190 years.
1- Satan is a liar and a deceiver.
“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.“
—John 8:44
2- The end times events in the Bible are events known to NO MAN, “not even the angels.” Satan wants a end times events that he can control. So that he can deceive men.
One end times event which was not in Christian teaching until the last 180 years was the teaching of a Third Jewish Temple being constructed. This was an idea almost totally foreign to Christianity until the writings of John Nelson Darby in 1830.
Darby’s writing languished in relative obscurity until they were picked up by the Christian mass media and HEAVILY PROMOTED BY THE WORLD three separate times in the 20th century.
In 1909, the Scofield Reference Bible picked up Darby’s teaching for use in its notes. Thus, many concepts which had been foreign to Christian eschatology entered into the mainstream of Christianity.
Sixty-one years later in 1970, Hal Lindsey’s Late Great Planet Earth was heavily promoted by the world. It sold 20 million copies and again, the idea of a third Jewish temple became embedded in the (American) Christian consciousness.
Twenty-seven year later, the Left Behind series sold sixty million plus copies, inspired several movies and American Christianity was finally sold on the idea that there would be a third Jewish temple arise in Jerusalem.
TRAMPLING ON THE ONCE-FOR-ALL SACRIFICE OF JESUS CHRIST
Was the sacrifice of Jesus “once for all”?
“By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”

When Jesus shouted “It is finished” was He telling the truth?
“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Will believers return to the Old Covenant in defiance of the what the Word says? Will there be another method of salvation for the Jews outside the sacrifice of Jesus Christ? Will there be a return to the Old Covenant, a covenant that was “ready to vanish away” 2000 years ago?
“In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.”

Those who teach the construction of a third Jewish temple point to 2 Thessalonians as their proof.
“…and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”

Here’s a few questions.
Why would the Jews build a third Temple?
What would take place in that building?
Would the sacrifices offered in a third Jewish temple be accepted by a God who sent His Son to die once and for all to pay the price for sin?
Would God’s Word call such a building, which tramples on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, “the temple of God?”
Did Paul use the phrase “temple of God” to mean something other than a Jewish temple?
Yes.
He used the phrase “temple of God” as a metaphor for the Church.
The phrase translated as “the temple of God” is used 4 times by Paul (1 Corinthians 3:16, I Corinthians 3:17, 2 Corinthians 6:16 and 2 Thessalonians 2:4). In the other 3 cases, there is no doubt that Paul is speaking about a spiritual temple – i.e. the body of believers called the church – and not a physical building. That certainly makes it likely that this usage is no different. In fact, the alternative word “hieron” (Strongs #2411) is ALWAYS used in reference to a physical temple (Paul uses it once in 1 Cor 9:13).
So Paul used the word for a spiritual temple: the Church.
The antichrist–rather the false prophet–will rise from the middle of an end times Church and present himself as worthy of worship. Not in the middle of a temple built with human hands; not even in a third Jewish temple built with human hands.
“Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,”

“God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;”

A THIRD JEWISH TEMPLE
NOW, with all that;s been said: will there be a third Jewish temple constructed?
One would certainly think so.
The reader may be asking: The writer just spent some time to demonstrate that there is no third Jewish temple referred to in the Bible. Why then does he suppose that a third Jewish temple will be built?
Because Satan has consistently spent many resources over the last 180 years to ensure the deception of the modern Christian that such a temple will be built–and that events that support the enemy’s timeline will take place.
“And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;”
—Matthew 27:51
When Jesus finished His work on the cross, the veil of the temple (which separated the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place) was rent in two by God.
Will God honor that which He has torn asunder or the men who try to undo His work?
The building of a third Jewish temple in the very secular state called Israel fits Satan’s end times plans. Not the least because he controls the timing of this event.
Sight-walking Christians, who have believed what ministers of righteousness have told them the Bible says, are looking for a third Jewish temple. And they will see a third Jewish temple rise.
But in no case would God’s Word call such a building built by human hands–about which the Bible is completely silent–be called “the temple of God.”.

THE OCCULT and AMERICAN CHRISTIANITY
While not exactly a love affair, American Christianity has long made a compromising peace with occult imagery and practices. (A brief history will be the subject of an upcoming article.) But the occult references have REALLY taken off during these first 14 years of the 21st century.
From The Circle Maker to lyrics in popular Christian “praise and worship” songs, one can’t do a little research into American Christianity without tripping over references to the occult which permeate the Church.
What brought this all about was a Christian website this writer stumbled across yesterday, which had a story about a (presumably) Christian boy. Long story short: the boy’s house burned down but something good came out of the house burning down. The next to last line of the story was set apart. It ran something like this.
“He found new life within the ashes of his old.”
This is a concept which is totally occult. There is nothing in Christianity, the Bible–even the Roman Catholic Church stays away from this–which states that new life rises from the ashes. There is however the occult story of the phoenix–which is where this symbolism originates.
Because the sentence is such a red flag, another line was added to the end of the article–after the occult reference–to make it seem biblical.
Something about the boy receiving “beauty for ashes.”
Oh, well that makes it alright then.
While trying to find the story and the website that featured it, a Google search for “In the ashes a new life” turned up
Out of the Ashes, A New Life – A September 2003 SERMON! This writer read the sermon in the hope that the person who gave it would provide some scripture for the occult symbology his sermon attached to Ezekiel. Alas, there was none–because none exists.
The book, Late Great Planet Earth, was responsible for introducing many previously-unknown concepts into popular Christian eschatology. The book really was ground-breaking in that regard. No wonder it was heavily promoted by the world and sold over 20 million copies,
However, one thing LGPE did get right was its prediction of a coming occult explosion within Christianity. It’s hard to find a period of American history where the occult was not “exploding” or flourishing in broad daylight. The entire 20th century was 100 years worth of the occult making inroads into ordinary everyday life. This process began with Hollywood and the movies and accelerated after WW2 with the widespread use of television.
Hollywood’s link with motion pictures generally began in 1912. Only a little over 100 years later, the occult is so engrained in America that it’s imagery is found on Christian websites, in Christian songs and even in Christian sermons. Americans don’t give it a second thought because they’ve been indoctrinated in the occult. The great majority simply don’t know any better–and many who are informed dismiss it outright or laugh it off.
In Galatians 5, Paul writes of the “works of the flesh.” Among them are “witchcraft” and “heresies.”
Revelation 22:15 speaks of those who will not be allowed to enter New Jerusalem.
“For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.”

After God destroys Babylon the Great in Revelation 18, “a mighty angel” declares
“for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.”

While there is much finger-pointing at the Roman Catholic Church as the vehicle Satan uses to gather worshipers in the end times–and with good reason–after a few hours of running down leads one suspects that another culprit will also somehow be involved.
The Bible describes the end times one-world church that Satan sets up to worship him.
It will eventually worship Satan, but it will be preceded by false prophets and false apostles preaching another gospel, another Christ and/or another Jesus. These “ministers of righteousness” will claim to have a special anointing and will fool many Christians;
It will be exported throughout the world by a country called (MYSTERY) Babylon the Great.
Come to think of it, that end times satanic church is beginning to bear a striking resemblance to American Christianity.
“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”
—2 Corinthians 11:14-15
Escaping notice are the churches where the building’s exterior looks the same, but where dozens of daily compromises have hollowed out its ability to preach the gospel; where dozens of daily compromises eventually turn the message of eternal salvation through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ into something else.
2- “Pharmakeia” (The modern word we use is pharmacopoeia or “drug making”) is the Greek word rendered “sorcery” in Revelation 9:20-21. But the word is also rendered as “witchcraft” in Galatians 5:20. So many have taught that the word meant “drug abuse” with an emphasis on illegal drugs.
But that is utter speculation. Pharmakeia nowhere carries the connotation of “illegal drug abuse.” The word simply means “medication, drugs or poison.”
The USA is the most legally-medicated country in the world by far. And that does not count the numerous compounds, chemicals and additives in the food, in the air and in the water about which most Americans are not so very much aware.
3- At one time, pharmacists (pharmakeia) and medicine was looked upon with a much more skeptical eye than most moderns possess. Surgeons were usually barbers (hence the red-and-white striped barber’s pole) and pharmaceuticals/drugs/potions/compounds were understood to be a type of poison. Which makes perfect sense as one of the meanings of phramakeia is “poison.”

Americans have been indoctrinated to believe that Prescribed Drugs = Good.
But is this true?
Before it was known for its aspirin, Bayer formulated and sold Heroin (that was the trademarked name) as a “non-addictive pain medication.” Heroin was also sold as a cough suppressant.
Amphetamines (speed) were first synthesized in 1887 (The late 1800s in Germany really were the Golden Age of Future Illegal Drugs.) It was marketed as an inhaler by Smith, Kline and French in 1937.
Prozac was first marketed as a diet pill. Asparame failed as an anti-ulcer drug before it was eventually introduced as an artificial sweetener.
Americans–and this includes American Christians–have gotten used to putting a lot of foreign substances in their bodies.
4- From remarks, emails and comments read over the last year, it’s apparent a great many American Christians believe that God will “cut them some slack“–if not for their actions then because of their good intentions.
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

The Bible doesn’t say that God’s people are destroyed for a lack of good intentions. It says they are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. Here’s some of what the Bible says about good intentions.
“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”
—1 John 3:18
“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”
—James 4:17
Some will protest “God knows my heart.”
That is true: God does know the heart. And what does God tell us about the human heart?
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

The question that is never asked: which is the bigger problem today: sin or legalism?
6- Why has the enemy duplicated so many ungodly organizations? One understands that there will be deception and some groups will be used as distractions and red herrings. But the sheer replication of organizations with allegiance to the enemy is staggering.
A few of these organizational duplications are mentioned in this article. One suspects that their ultimate purpose is to assist the great end times deception.
No doubt there will be some who protest that the tone of this piece is too “harsh.”
Fair enough.
To those who advocate a softer tone, this writer will plead shortness of time and obvious lack of results from previous pieces which employed softer tones.

UK Man wins court victory over BBC for 9/11 coverup broadcast – One of the most bizarre moments of 9/11 happened when the BBC and other media outlets broadcast that Building 7 (which had not been hit by any planes) had collapsed–when the building was still standing behind the reporters doing the broadcast. The building remained standing for 20 minutes after the news agencies reported it had collapsed.
IN THE EMAIL: A discussion of when the “70th week of Daniel” was first mentioned. When surveying church doctrines outside of the Catholic Church, the much-taught 70th week was nowhere to be found until the 20th century.* But then, Protestant and Evangelical readings of Daniel 9:24-27 were completely different from what is now taught in the 21st century.
(Strangely enough, 7th Day Adventists and Jehovah’s Witnesses are the best-known groups holding onto this older Christian eschatology–which has tended to discredit these more-traditional teachings in the eyes of evangelical Christians. It makes one wonder why, among all of the well-known heresies of these two groups, they chose to adhere to the Bible on these important points of eschatology?)
The “70th week” started to enter Evangelical Christian awareness in 1909 with Sir Robert Anderson and continued with Scofield’s Reference Bible in 1911. It was popularized by Hal Lindsey’s 1970 Late Great Planet Earth. Daniel’s 70th week was cemented in many Christian minds by the Left Behind (1995-2007) series, but a lot of contemporary Christian end times doctrines made their popular debut in 1970 due to Lindsey’s book.
* – A book by Plymouth Brethren writer J.A. Seiss, Voices from Babylon: A commentary on Daniel, mentions the 70th week in 1879. Coincidentally, many of the teachings found in the 21st century Christian eschatology made their Protestant debut among the Plymouth Brethren— a group which originated in Catholic Dublin.
John Nelson Darby (1800-82) is generally credited with being the first to teach a 7-year tribulation based on Daniel’s 70th week, but his teachings were almost totally rejected outside of the Plymouth Brethren until the 20th century.
Darby and the Plymouth Brethren were introduced to the Jesuit teachings on the end times in the late 1820s by Edward Irving, who had translated Jesuit writings into English. Irving did not invent his doctrines but merely passed along the Jesuit ones he had translated to the Brethren and to Darby, apparently in the early 1830s.
Irving was excommunicated in 1830 from London and in 1832 in Scotland for heresy. Irving’s preaching and teaching were used as the cornerstones to found the Catholic Apostolic Church (an early type of Pentecostalism) beginning in 1832. Edward Irving died in 1834 at the age of 42.
In the 20th century, the prophecy teachings of Darby were picked up by Scofield for inclusion in the notes of the popular Scofield Reference Bible (1911). From there, they gradually spread among American churches until Lindsey’s Late Great Planet Earth (over 20 million copies) in 1970 popularized them among the masses of Christians.
These end times doctrines were further popularized in the public and Christian imagination by the Left Behind series (64 million copies).
Here’s the paradox: many parents think public schools are horrible. Except for the public schools their kids attend. Their schools are Great!
Because once they admit that there is a problem with the schools their kids attend, they would be forced to do something about it–and that might entail quitting their job or other inconveniences–or ignore it and the effects it would have on their children.
Far easier to just become cheerleaders for their public school system. It absolves them of any later guilt.
