“I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.”
–Isaiah 45:7
One of the surest ways to start an argument with the church folk–most of whom don’t really know God’s Word (other than what they have been told)–is to quote Isaiah 45:7.
“God wants no part of evil. That’s just silly talk!”
HOWEVER, pointing out that God created EVERYTHING usually causes the majority to pause at this point.
“If God didn’t create evil–which God Himself declares he did–who created it?”
Not long ago (while embroiled in just such a discussion), someone asked a pertinent question.
“Why did God create evil? Why didn’t he just create good things and let it go at that?”
At the time, the answer given was, “God created evil because evil is part of God’s plan.”
But later, Proverbs 16:4 was discovered. That verse gives a MUCH better answer to the question that was posed that day.
“The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.”
One illustration of this is what God declares about the Pharaoh of Egypt (at the time, probably the most powerful man on earth).
“For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.”
–Romans 9:17
Though it may be hard to wrap one’s head around, the wicked, the foolish and the evil man all have their place in God’s great master plan.
Though evil men will chafe at the suggestion,
EVEN the wicked serve God.
DOES the reader believe that evil has a place in the master plan God has laid out for His creation?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
