The end times are certainly a time of itching ears, deception and flesh-pleasing fables.
Leaving the Evangelical Rapture Obsession Behind – There is a gathering together of believers: that is 100 percent biblical–regardless of how many faux Christian articles are penned to the contrary.
“Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.”

Oh, there surely IS what the church-goers call a “rapture.” However, it is not the Get-Out-of-Tribulation FREE card the lost and deceived have promoted.
But there most certainly is a “gathering together.”
So WHY has the pre-tribulation rapture deception been promoted so heavily among the pagan churches?
After all, it’s clearly a fable with a shelf life: it will be plain enough to see through once things begin to go bad and no one has disappeared à la Left Behind and Late Great Planet Earth.
It’s not like one can continue to cling to this myth once the man of sin begins to wear out the saints and the pew-sitters are still earthbound.
There are several likely answers as to why this deception has been so heavily-promoted (especially in America).
1- Arguing over the TIMING of the gathering together assumes a seven-year tribulation–which is unbiblical. A seven-year period is not found anywhere in the Bible outside of the higher math problem (the so-called “Daniel’s 70th week“) passed off as Bible studies by the deceitful workers in the churches.
2- Because the pre-tribulation rapture has NO support in Scripture, it will be very easy to attack. The entire idea of a gathering together will be simple to discredit once things get tough among those who placed their faith in such fables.
Satan is a tricky guy.
3- Another likely answer is: there are a great many who are NOW promoting the notion that there is NO gathering together (Which is as unbiblical as the pre-tribulation story).
But think about all the millions of people (especially in America: ground zero for pre-tribulationism) who will be stuck in a world of chaos without their magic escape.
Worse still, these sad folks will be “left behind,” the one outcome they’ve been taught is practically a death sentence.
These frightened, rudderless, UNPREPARED souls will be easy pickings for the worldwide satanic church (which LOOKS like Christianity; sort of like today’s churches.) and it’s “We told you so: there is NO rapture. You better listen to us! We won’t steer you wrong.”
The deceived will STILL be deceived. They will only have exchanged one deception for another: the pre-tribulation rapture for no rapture at all.
And it will be an easy transition.
After all, IF they had had the Holy Spirit, they would not have been deceived in the first place.
Taught they would never have to face what the Bible clearly declares they must, persecution and tribulation will be appear to be overwhelming to the unprepared.
Yet, true believers face persecution and tribulation every day. The Word of God GUARANTEES it.
“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”

Believers KNOW it will become much harder during the 42-months of the man of sin’s reign. One of the reasons God gave us His Word is to prepare believers for what is to come to pass.

NEWS about World War 3.
Are we on the road to World War 3? How much time do we have? Is there anything we can do about the events which are soon to overtake those living on the earth?
February 29-The Corporate Media scaled back its World War 3 chatter a bit this past week.
Last week saw the introduction of three new trends in WWIII coverage.
This week saw three new trends WW3Watchers surely noticed.
World War 3 is now a topic the flagship media properties are talking about. US Today, US News & World Report and Forbes all carried pieces on World War 3. While the tabloids are still chatting about WWIII, the mainstream press has now joined in enthusiastically.
Several stories speculated that world war might begin THIS MONTH. It’s still a bit early. The feeling here: world war is several months, not weeks, not years, away.
The counterfeit Christian publications began running pieces on world war and calling it “World War 3.” While discussions on world war are not unknown in these publications, this week signaled a new level in pushing pre-WW3 propaganda to a new audience.
This past week, only #3 continued as the week before. Most of the articles were of the opinion/speculation type, which means that nothing major happened during the past week.
One noticeable difference this past week: the WW3 coverage was all over the map. No specific locations monopolized the articles.
The most interesting of the bunch might be the announcement that there will soon be a movie about World War III released. The film will be based on George Friedman‘s best-selling book, The Next 100 Years.
Among other things, the book predicts a new Cold War between the USA and Russia and the de-escalation of the unrest in the Middle East. As such, the book is surely (like most “futurist” publications) a collection of narratives.
(Future Shock (published in 1970), perhaps the best-known of the futurist genre, got a few things right (the Internet, YouTube, and home-schooling) but a number of things wrong: underwater cities, the over-population of the planet (which was the global warming of the early 1970s), paper clothing and cars being replaced by spaceships.)
So it’s likely this new movie will have much wrong as well. Such as its contention the Middle East will de-escalate and grow peaceful. That is simply not happening.
So. from the early talk, the World War 3 movie appears to be largely narrative. Though movies as predictive programming tools have a long, long, long history.
IF events do not escalate this coming week, next week looks like a good week to take a week off.
However, seasoned WW3 Watchers know when the world is in a state of quiet unease is often the time when action erupts and World War III seems threatened.
Revelation 6:4 tells us there WILL BE World War. It does NOT tell us where it begins.
However, there are plenty of other Bible prophecies which enable us to make an educated guess that World War likely will begin in the Middle East. One in particular which may point to Syria.
“The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.”
–Isaiah 17:1
Damascus, the world’s longest continuously inhabited city, has never been a “ruinous heap.” So, this prediction is still in the future.
There are other verses as well, some of the others being Ezekiel 38-39, Psalm 83 and Revelation 16 and 19.
To be perfectly clear: Revelation 6:4 (which foretells worldwide war) does not name a specific starting location for this war.

We will include several held-over important points in this edition. While new readers can get up to speed by reading this issue, more information is included in our regular editions (which are archived with links at the end of this article). Regular readers can, if they prefer, skip to the new parts.
When World War III begins, it will most likely begin in the Middle East and spread to Asia. The USA will be involved in every theater of the war with different opponents (depending upon where the battles are being fought. Ditto for its allies: Japan, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan in Asia; NATO and a few assorted lightweights in the Middle East.
Regardless of any temporary let-ups in the frequency of CHAOS!, World War III is getting closer. The world’s press (especially in the USA) has been busy preparing the world’s populations for total war.
The Corporate Media continued its regular array of fear-mongering stories in preparation of an attack on American soil. The most popular involve guns and the possible banning of guns.
So how does the world seem to know that World War 3 is just ahead?

One question we haven’t asked at WW3Watch for some time now seems appropriate (and this question is really for all of those who believe that history is just a series of random events caused by chance and the winds of fate): How do all of the media outlets already know that the next war will be World War 3?
There have been dozens of wars and rumors of war since the last World War concluded 70 years ago. Several of them were quite large: the Korean conflict, the Vietnam War, the 45-year-long Cold War: what makes the Corporate Media so sure that the next war will be a World War?
Never (even during the height of the Cold War nuclear war hysteria) did the Media conduct a months-long campaign calling the next possible war a “world war.”
This writer remembers a conversation with a gentlemen about 30 months ago. The point was made that the media had (even then) started speculating that the next war would be World War III. And the question was asked “How do they know this will be WW3?”
30 months ago, the gentleman’s answer was “I haven’t seen any news stories using the term ‘World War 3.’
So, copies of the stories were supplied and six months later, World War 3 Watch was born.
Is this the start of World War 3?
The consensus: Not yet.
The feeling is that the Middle Eastern war which begins WWIII won’t start until the USA suffers an attack of ‘terror’ much worse than what hit Paris.
We’re getting closer though.
Who knows when the terror attack on U.S. soil will happen?
Who knows what will happen in 2016?
We’re still holding to our original idea that a terror attack on the USA could happen any time before the 2016 presidential election, BUT seems more likely in September-October 2016.
All this DOESN’T MEAN that World War 3 won’t happen: it will.
That’s a certainty.
Events are getting more serious.
What we said four months ago:
SPECULATION: World War 3 will start in the Middle East and spread to Asia to include the Koreas, Taiwan and China. And probably other countries as well.
Until that all gets underway, expect a period of calm over the upcoming months punctuated by outbreaks of violence designed to keep the folks at home guessing.
HOWEVER, history records it is during the midst of relative calm that previous World Wars have broken out after long periods of underlying tensions and military build-ups.
TICK TICK: Iran deal = Munich comparisons time clock runs out the beginning of July 2016.
REMEMBER: World War 3 will happen. It’s not a matter of IF, it’s a matter of WHEN. World War 3 will happen.
The Bible [Revelation 6:4 among others] is clear on the subject of an end times world war.
“And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.”
Though evil men may scheme and plan in secret; though YEARS may be spent carefully honing the strategy; though World War III has been a long-term project: EVERYTHING is on God’s timetable, not man’s.
When it is time, the red horse of Revelation 6:4 will be released.
For many WW3 watchers, the periods of calm are more uneasy than the periods of turmoil. And the world has been going through a relative period of calm over the last few month.
Every day brings WWIII closer to reality.
That point could well be in the next twelve-sixteen months.
LAST WEEK: With the Iranian nuclear deal completed, President Obama’s detractors took to the media to proclaim it the foundation for a future World War III.
One, in fact, called it another “Munich.”
The Munich Conference was a famous stop along the road to World War II. The agreement was signed about 11 months prior to the outbreak of World War II.
World War III watchers may want to mark their calendars for June 2016.
OH, and Munich was hailed by British Prime Minister (who was portrayed in the media as weak and bumbling–just like another certain Western leader today is) Neville Chamberlain as evidence of “peace for our time.”
Just as another certain Western leader is portraying the Iran deal as a victory for peace over war.
* NOTE: Rarely are dates set around these parts. (Our date on the US terror attack being a notable exception.)
The main reason is: we do not have any special source of information not available to others. But in case its forgotten, the following (from a year-and-a-half ago) was just discovered and will serve as a reminder.
With February over, there’s a 40% chance of World War III; which is +0% change from last week.
This number has more to do with the time drawing closer than it does with any specific event.
HOWEVER: All this is the beginning, not the end.
“And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.”

We appear to be in the “wars and rumours of wars” and the “wars and commotions” stage of events.
The real action is still in the future. But the future is getting closer.
40 percent is still low historically. However, this a +10 since the Paris attacks in November. Continued action in Syria or the Middle East could raise that number quickly.
However, those who believe “all war is an engineered event” are convinced that this means big things are just over the horizon.HOWEVER, there is still a feeling here that events have a little bit longer to go before WWIII begins.
The long term view is 100%. This is no change from our last edition.
Pre-war propaganda levels in the USA against all things Muslim continues to escalate. The escalation in anti-Muslim propaganda in the USA began about in August 2014 and continues full force at present.
Pre-war propaganda usually starts somewhere between 18 months to three years before the shooting starts. The USA has been in pre-war propaganda mode for the last 16-18 months.
NOTE: Something readers should keep in mind: the USA and Russia kept tensions high for 45 years during the Cold War without ONCE facing off in a shooting war. The tensions were continued by proxy wars in Korea and Vietnam and dozens of other, lesser points around the globe during that 45 years.
Of course, when World War 3 DOES begin, it’s likely to happen quite suddenly after a long build-up. The world is in the building-up stage at present. But then again, as a point of comparison, the world built up for 45 years during the Cold War.
The Corporate Media continues to hype fear in the homeland.
However, these warning appear to be agencies protecting themselves so when the next attack comes, they cannot be accused of “sleeping on the job.”
A continued chance of a domestic terror attack BY October 2016 leading to war in the Middle East : [+79%}. It is almost certain to occur while Barack Obama is still in office.
79%: That’s +0%. This is the first uptick in this number in months and months. Again, this has more to do with the time drawing closer than any specific event.
There’s no reason to expect a domestic terror attack won’t happen. Expect this number to gradually increase until the actual attack takes place. Every day which passes by until January 20, 2017 brings the next attack a day closer.
Is the deceptive media setting up another scenario of hyped tensions over a long period?
Little has changed from last week.
However, the Bible is clear that at some point, there will be World War.
That is our final arbiter.

It doesn’t get any better from here on out (Though the man of sin has a short period of “peace and safety” before the wheels come off his wagon).

Time continues to tick away to the end of Obama’s term. And the feeling is very solid on something big happening before he exits office on Jan 20, 2017.
The world is on a steady march to World War 3. There will be periods of calm, periods of violence. Even during the periods of quiet, nothing will deter the beginning of World War 3.
It’s only a matter of “When?“

Overall Tension Assessment:The assessments have remained largely unchanged over the last seventeen months. The assessment continues to be QUIET with a continuing chance of terror leading to war. 2016 looks like a logical time for events to begin ALTHOUGH a ‘terror attack’ could take place at any time.
No one appears to be in a hurry to commence World War III.
Of course, a major event will suddenly change all of this.

The “Man will live forever” is closely related to the one about “Man will raise the dead.” Both have been around for centuries.
This “man will not die” or “Man will live forever” lie is the same one the serpent told Eve in the garden.
“And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die”

Satan’s Mouthpiece repeats this lie today because it still works.
Add the “Science will conquer death” to the “Live forever!” and the “immortality” of the thousands of vampire references in the media and popular culture and entertainment, and one can see Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) has a fixation on man-made eternal life.
Why is that?
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”

Men do not want to die because men do not want to face judgment.
Regardless of what the wicked claim, they are definitely uneasy about a day of reckoning. Being judged for a life of selfishness and sin is not something they prefer to think about.
Men will lie to themselves throughout their lives that a day of reckoning will not come or does not exist. But as the day of their doom draws closer, many look for an escape; a way out.
So the lie of living forever in this evil world is something that naturally appeals to them.
And it is a lie which is being promoted in the media.
Evil men have always schemed for a way to “beat the system” eternally.
The wicked are deceived and believe they can outsmart God Almighty.
“And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”

And there will never be a short supply of other wicked men and evil spirits (as long as this present world exists), who will assist in such delusions.

In Atlantic City, an elderly woman named Vera Coking owned a home near Trump’s casino. Trump wanted to take down her house so he could expand his casino parking lot.
People had offered to buy Vera’s house, but she said no. In America, property rights mean you get to tell people, “You can’t use my things without my permission.”

The Corporate Media has carefully marketed Donald Trump as “someone who tells the truth.” But it was promoted in such a way (with a wink and a nod) that Americans knew they were being told a joke.

When the REAL GOP nominee makes his move, Trump will go into his very public self-destruct mode.
EACH AND EVERY YEAR, the USA NOW spends more than Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, France, Great Britain, India and Germany (the next seven biggest military powers on earth)–combined.
AND, this is ONLY the ‘public’ amount which is claimed for the military. The amount of money which is ‘classified’ (the black budget) might be more than the portion of which the public is aware.

The First Amendment is dying – The first ten amendments to the US constitution (Bill of Rights) were a fiction useful for a time. But they have outlived their usefulness to the string-pullers. So, they have to go.

Now that the mystery of iniquity’s time is almost here, those “rights” are no longer needed or even desired. Pity the fools who still believe that they somehow (despite all of the evidence to the contrary which surrounds them) are protected by this paper they pretend to worship, their constitution.
Which is the reason those amendments will ALL be disappearing into the ash heap of history very shortly.
BUT Americans won’t really miss their ‘rights.’

Ultimately, it is all connected with the use of illegitimate supernatural power. But the deceived can always refuse to acknowledge they take part by pleading they are merely experiencing “hallucinations.”
These are the not only the role models for Satan’s end times whore Church, they are the network which will supply both bodies and organization for the dragon’s attempted end times ‘cleansing’ of the few true Christians left.

NEWS about World War 3.
Are we on the road to World War 3? How much time do we have? Is there anything we can do about the events which are soon to overtake those living on the earth?
August 10 – The World War III media talk increased quite a bit this past week–and it was all coming from both sides in the recent Iran-USA nuclear deal.
Both Iran and the USA warned of World War III for differing reasons. President Obama warned if the deal isn’t approved by the US Congress, World War III could result. Obama’s opponents have been warning that if the deal IS approved, it will end up causing WWIII.
Iran was warning of World War III on its own.
One analyst warned that World War III was going to largely be a cyber war. We strongly disagree with that analysis.
This past week has been quiet. That continues a trend which began in August 2014.
HOWEVER, history records it is during the midst of relative calm that previous World Wars have broken out after long periods of underlying tensions and military build-ups.
TICK TICK: Iran deal = Munich comparisons time clock runs out the beginning of July 2016.
REMEMBER: World War 3 will happen. It’s not a matter of IF, it’s a matter of WHEN. World War 3 will happen.
The Bible [Revelation 6:4 among others] is clear on the subject of an end times world war.
“And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.”
THE CALL remains the same:
Regardless of what fear is promoted in the media, World War 3 is AT THIS POINT, still down the road. However, every day brings it closer to reality. 2015 should bring more events leading, if not to WW3, then to the road to total world war AT SOME POINT.
That point could well be in the next twelve-sixteen months.
Regardless of the WW3 chatter, we’ll repeat what we said several weeks ago about the Iran nuke deal and the Munich commentaries.
LAST WEEK: With the Iranian nuclear deal completed, President Obama’s detractors took to the media to proclaim it the foundation for a future World War III.
One, in fact, called it another “Munich.”
The Munich Conference was a famous stop on the road to World War II. The agreement was signed about 11 months prior to the outbreak of World War II.
World War III watchers may want to mark their calendars for June 2016.
OH, and Munich was hailed by British Prime Minister (who was portrayed in the media as weak and bumbling–just like another certain Western leader today is) Neville Chamberlain as evidence of “peace for our time.”
Just as another certain Western leader is portraying the Iran deal as a victory for peace over war.
Ukraine – Basically unchanged. Russia keeps stirring the pot, but nothing solid has happened for weeks. There is still very public, heavy, sporadic killing going on.
Baltic States – Unchanged but uneasy.
LIBYA – Unchanged.
IRAN (NEW) – Still lots of chatter about the nuke deal.
YEMEN – Continued chaos. Various population groups displaced by fighting between government and “rebels.” But even Yemen has been warily quiet the last couple weeks.
IRAQ – Unchanged. ISIS has conducted periodic attacks which have been heavily promoted by the media. ISIS, Iraqi fources and the various Kurdish groups have been fighting.
CHINA – Even the South China Sea area has been quiet the last few weeks outside of some US surveillance flights.
KURDISTAN There is increasing talk of an independent Kurd state (the Kurds = the Medes of the Bible). This will create conflict in the Middle East, particularly in Syria, Turkey, Iran and whatever is left of Iraq.
POLAND (new) Regular chatter in the media about the Poles being “uneasy.”
TURKEY (new) There is a feeling that, at some point, Turkey will enter the “hot fighting” phase of the Middle East pre-chaos.
Almost mid-way through the eighth month of 2015, there’s a 26% chance of World War III; which is no change % from last week.
This is not because of any peace efforts.
26 percent is as low as we’ve seen over the past few years. However, those who believe “all war is an engineered event” are convinced that this means big things are just over the horizon.
HOWEVER, there is still a feeling here that events have a little bit longer to go before WWIII begins. The long term view is 100%. This is no change from our last edition.
Pre-war propaganda levels in the USA against all things Muslim continues to escalate. The escalation in anti-Muslim propaganda in the USA began about a year ago and continues full force.
NOTE: Something readers should keep in mind: the USA and Russia kept tensions high for 45 years during the Cold War without ONCE facing off in a shooting war. The tensions were continued by proxy wars in Korea and Vietnam and dozens of other, lesser points around the globe during that 45 years.
Of course, when World War 3 DOES begin, it’s likely to happen quite suddenly after a long build-up. The world is in the building-up stage at present. But then again, as a point of comparison, the world built up for 45 years during the Cold War.
The Corporate Media continues to hype fear in the homeland.
However, these warning appear to be agencies protecting themselves so when the next attack comes, they cannot be accused of “sleeping on the job.”
A continued chance of a domestic terror attack before October 2016 leading to war in the Middle East : [+78%}. That’s no change%. Expect this number to gradually increase until the actual attack takes place.
One wonders though: is the deceptive media setting up another scenario of hyped tensions over a long period?
Little has changed from last week.
However, the Bible is clear that at some point, there will be World War.
That is our final arbiter.
TENSION ASSESSMENT: August 10, 2015
Most of the regional assessment–as has been the case for the last year–registered “no change” this week.
North Korea – quiet.
Ukraine – down–in spite of sporadic heavy fighting
Syria – steady. Battles between Kurds and ISIS reported. Usual ISIS atrocities reported.
Jordan – quiet
East Africa – quiet – This includes South Sudan
China – quiet.
Japan – quiet
North Africa – steady.
Russia – steady, with continued interest in Ukraine, Syria and Iraq, the Baltic States and Poland.
USA – quiet.
Israel – steady.
Egypt – down with continued pockets of domestic unrest.
Iran – Nuke talks completed. Deal reached. Mixed reactions in USA. Jubilation in Iran.
NATO – quiet.
Iraq – constant level of violence. Continued chaos by “ISIS.”
Afghanistan -Violence is sporadic. The country is still a mess.
YEMEN – Continued chaos.
Kurdistan – Will there be a new Kurdish state? What new conflicts will that spark–because it WILL spark conflicts in the region.
TURKEY (NEW) Turks reportedly sent F-16s across border against ISIS three weeks ago.
The world is on a steady march to World War 3. There will be periods of calm, periods of violence. Even during the periods of quiet, nothing will deter the beginning of World War 3.
It’s only a matter of “When?“
August 10, 2015 – When WW3 does break out, it will be without warning; very suddenly. Do not expect any warning from the same media which is hyping fear of World War III on an almost daily basis.
OLD AND NEWER SPECULATION: The next domestic terror attack will likely involve an EMP or an Ebola-type bio-weapon.

NEWEST SPECULATION: How long will World War 3 fears be promoted in the media? Is it all just “fear promotion,” as during the Cold War?
FINALLY: 2016 has always looked like a logical time to begin worldwide war. We’re still holding to that timeline.
We will see.
Overall Tension Assessment:The assessments have remained largely unchanged over the last twelve months. The assessment is QUIET with a continuing chance of terror leading to war.
No one appears to be in a hurry to commence World War III.
Of course, a major event will suddenly change all of this.

The promoters of the Science Fiction Church are scattered throughout the media, wherever they might do the most damage–and this answer has all the earmarks of the Sci-Fi bible, not God’s Word.
The article is full of the confusing of demons with fallen angels (there is nowhere in the Bible which states that demons are fallen angels; this is rank speculation which for some reason always seems to lead to the same mistakes–which lead to the construction of a completely different end times than the Bible version.)
In fact, we can know that demons and fallen angels are not the same entities because demons are going about doing evil while the Bible assures us that fallen angels are “in everlasting chains” until judgment day.
“For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;”

However, this hasn’t stopped the Sci-Fi guys from spinning lurid non-Biblical fables about fallen angels and earth women, nephelim, giants, angel-human hybrids and other tales from the mystery of iniquity.
END TIMES ALIEN/UFO/ET DECEPTION
Now, one suspects there will be a UFO/ET/alien deception. Satan and his minions have labored too long and spent too many resources for there not to be. Is it part of the Bible?
No–unless one includes the many Bible verses warning of end times deception.

But it will all be part of the end times satanic deception of the dragon. To this end, the minions of the dragon have ceaselessly labored to construct a new eschatology to contradict God’s Word.
New World Order Strategy: Aliens Attack, the World Unites! – This is based on various public statements of world leaders. However, one should keep in mind that world leaders are members of the mystery of iniquity and their statements are full of lies and deception.
There will be other reasons for the world to unite (as the Bible says it will do) other than an “alien invasion.”
There could be aliens/ET/UFOs used in the end times deception as a straight-up deception; i.e., the Science-Fiction Church guys love to prattle on about a “coming Alien Messiah.”
Or, the alien deception could be part of a planned distraction/deception which is meant to be seen through while a deeper deception is being prepared.
The dragon is a tricky fellow.
“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”

HOW DO MEN CHANGE WHAT IS CLEARLY WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE?
Comparing the Bible to what Men Claim
The Book of Revelation is clear about a certain length of end times time period. It speaks of this time period four times. That length of time is three and one-half years. So how has the Modern American Prophecy Industry turned the very clear 3 1/2 years into 7 years (what they claim is the Tribulation, Great Tribulation, etc.)?
It begins by a fairly modern mis-reading of Daniel 9:24-28 and the fashioning of “Daniel’s 70th Week for the Jews”–a teaching and term with which the Christian Church was totally unfamiliar UNTIL our own apostate time. This “unfinished 7-years [week] of Daniel” is added onto the end times and–voila! We have a”7-year Tribulation!”
One suspects the manufactured arguments of the “When is the rapture?” exist largely to set this 7-year fraud into the consciousness of pew-sitters. It doesn’t matter what unbiblical arguments are presented to this make-believe “question” [The plain answer is in Matthew 24 and Revelation 14.], ALL of the rapture timing arguments present a seven-year tribulation.
Satan has worked for a few hundred years to carefully construct his version of the end times. This is so apostates and unsaved church-goers can follow along at home with a fictitious version of end times events.
Why study God’s Word when so many others have conveniently provided a handy chart of the end times?
“And it has pictures and is in four colors too!”
Because they are deceived, they will not question the devil’s end times time table he has considerately constructed for their benefit.
To make sure that the public has the deception hook set deep in their mouths, Hal Lindsay’s 1970’s best-seller The Late Great Planet Earth [28+ million copies and a movie], and the 1990’s Left Behind series [65+ million copies and four movies] dished up a seven-year tribulation (among their many, many other deceptions.)

Forty and two months (3 1/2 years) – Power is given to the beast to continue.“And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months”

In addition, there are three verses in Daniel which refer to time, times and a dividing of time (3 1/2 years). Various writers, including Lindsay and the Left Behind crew, have added the verses from Daniel into their tales of “Daniel’s 70th week.”
Why would men change the clear meaning of Revelation’s three-and-one-half years into seven years?
One suspects it has to do with the following.
“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. “
