Salvation: Grace of God has Appeared to ALL Men

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. --John 1:12-13
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. –John 1:12-13

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men”
Titus 2:11

There are those who say that some men are chosen by God to go to hell.

The Scriptures do not say this.

There are those who say that men choose God by their free will alone.

The Scriptures do not say this either.

Salvation itself is a gift from God.

Grace is a gift from God.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9

Then if faith is a gift from God, does man not do anything to be saved?

The Scriptures do not say this.

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
Luke 13:3

When Jesus walked the earth, he often called for men to repent; to repent means to change one’s mind about God and one’s obedience to God’s Word.”

“From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Matthew 4:17

It is given to man to understand the basics of salvation.

“The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.”
Deuteronomy 29:29

There are many finer points about the process which are impossible for man’s mind to understand.

“O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.”
Romans 11:33-36

One thing which is easy to understand:

ALL salvation is through Jesus Christ.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
John 14:6

God does all the heavy lifting for salvation. But men must decide they want salvation.

Men must repent.

Once men choose repentance, God provides all the grace one needs to be saved from a life of sin and eternal destruction.

It is not man’s free will alone which decides his salvation. The Scriptures say the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to ALL men.

Yet few are saved.

Few repent.

Few submit to God.

Few choose life.

Many choose destruction.

Are you bound for destruction?

Not sure?

Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16

THE GOSPEL

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”
-—1 Corinthians 1:18-19
