IF one takes the position that this present life is only a probationary period; a time of testing and trial to determine where a person will spend the rest of eternity, then one has to depend upon God Almighty for a great many things.
One of the most important lessons for the believer it to trust God: He will not forsake you.
“And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
This is a tough lesson to learn, even with the many promises God makes to believers contained in His Word.
Men like to depend upon themselves. They naturally fall back on their senses: what they can touch, see, hear, taste and smell. It’s tough to depend on God.
Even a man who God declared was a “man after my own heart” had doubts that God walked with him.
“And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years. And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.”
Even after David was anointed to be king by God’s prophet, Samuel; even after God had saved him time and again from all sorts of dangers, trials and tests: David had doubts that God was with him.
“And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.”
—1 Samuel 27:1
Although one must be very careful relying on various Bible commentaries, Charles Spurgeon did a good job on this particular verse.
“The thought of David’s heart at this time was a false thought, because he certainly had no ground for thinking that God’s anointing him by Samuel was intended to be left as an empty unmeaning act.
On no one occasion had the Lord deserted His servant; he had been placed in perilous positions very often, but not one instance had occurred in which divine interposition had not delivered him. The trials to which he had been exposed had been varied; they had not assumed one form only, but many—yet in every case He who sent the trial had also graciously ordained a way of escape.
David could not put his finger upon any entry in his diary, and say of it, “Here is evidence that the Lord will forsake me,” for the entire tenor of his past life proved the very reverse. He should have argued from what God had done for him, that God would be his defender still. But is it not just in the same way that we doubt God’s help? Is it not mistrust without a cause? Have we ever had the shadow of a reason to doubt our Father’s goodness?
Have not His lovingkindnesses been marvellous?
Has He once failed to justify our trust?
Ah, no! our God has not left us at any time. We have had dark nights, but the star of love has shone forth amid the blackness; we have been in stern conflicts, but over our head He has held aloft the shield of our defence. We have gone through many trials, but never to our detriment, always to our advantage; and the conclusion from our past experience is, that He who has been with us in six troubles, will not forsake us in the seventh.
What we have known of our faithful God, proves that He will keep us to the end. Let us not, then, reason contrary to evidence. How can we ever be so ungenerous as to doubt our God?
IF the believer is in a tough spot, it should be remembered that tough spots are tests and trials. Tough spots help build faith.
God will not forsake or forget the believer.
Are you in a tough spot?
It’s not yet too late to lean on the One who will never fail you.
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
“Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace on earth, but a sword.”
THE Christian will be sure to make enemies. It will be one of his objects to make none; but if to do the right, and to believe the I true, should cause him to lose every earthly friend, he will count it but a small loss, since his great Friend in heaven will be yet more friendly, and reveal Himself to him more graciously than ever.
O ye who have taken up His cross, know ye not what your Master said? “I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother; and a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.” Christ is the great Peacemaker; but before peace, He brings war. Where the light cometh, the darkness must retire. Where truth is, the lie must flee; or, if it abideth, there must be a stern conflict, for the truth cannot and will not lower its standard, and the lie must be trodden under foot.
If you follow Christ, you shall have all the dogs of the world yelping at your heels. If you would live so as to stand the test of the last tribunal, depend upon it the world will not speak well of you. He who has the friendship of the world is an enemy to God; but if you are true and faithful to the Most High, men will resent your unflinching fidelity, since it is a testimony against their iniquities.
Fearless of all consequences, you must do the right. You will need the courage of a lion unhesitatingly to pursue a course which shall turn your best friend into your fiercest foe; but for the love of Jesus you must thus be courageous. For the truth’s sake to hazard reputation and affection, is such a deed that to do it constantly you will need a degree of moral principle which only the Spirit of God can work in you; yet turn not your back like a coward, but play the man.
Follow right manfully in your Master’s steps, for He has traversed this rough way before you. Better a brief warfare and eternal rest, than false peace and everlasting torment.
Hillary can win 45 states – The grandest fairy tales are the ones told by the political press. This particular fable is to scare those who can’t stomach the constantly-written-about Hillary Clinton (64% of Americans say they won’t vote for Hillary Clinton under any circumstances.) Why then has the press presented Ms. Clinton as the unbeatable bogeyman for the last eight years? Answer: it has to do with the fact that the Corporate Media isn’t in business to inform so much as it is to herd the public. It also would guarantee sure victory to her opponent while presenting voters with another “clear choice” that is anything but.
“Richard Branson has announced plans to develop a new type of plane that could fly from New York to Tokyo in one hour. Apparently the engines are powered by human screams.”
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
—1 John 2:15
“America” is most definitely a “thing” of this present world–the love of which the author proclaims. However this writer, before God in His infinite mercy opened his eyes, was also engaged in such s love of world;y things–especially for the fiction Americans have been taught to worship: America.
According to the Luciferians, atheists are one of the groups targeted for future elimination–as are Christians. Lukewarm pew-sitters can breathe a sigh of relief: you are not targeted for elimination, you are targeted for sitting in the pews of another Church: the whore of Babylon. Many Americans won’t notice much difference.
“I do not personally support the notion of revivals. They seem to be more about the raising of money and the praising of the personality preaching than about the Kingdom of God and His ordained plan of salvation. Revivalists these days seem to be more interested in entertaining and drawing a large following than about exposing sin, uncovering wickedness and calling sinners to repentance.” –CH Spurgeon What is Revival? December 1866

The Third Reich Was Founded On Conspiracy Theories – If true they were “conspiracy theories,” then why were so many of the USA’s elite and celebrated (George H.W. Bush’s father, for one; JF Kennedy’s father for another) serve as their gophers and financiers?
The Rise Of The Hyper-Informed Football Fan – Like so many others obsessed with what the Corporate Media broadcasts and publishes, the “hyper-informed football fan” has a knowledge of myths, fables and legends. They are like primitive man with ESPN.
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”

300 earthquakes in Texas county since December – Satan knows Scripture. So does Satan’s Mouthpiece, the Corporate Media. So why does the reader suppose Satan’s Mouthpiece keeps trumpeting earthquake news? Doesn’t that seem a bit odd? Unless…
At the time of the Civil War, it was estimated that one-third of all currency in circulation was counterfeit. At that time, there were approximately 1,600 state banks designing and printing their own notes. Each note carried a different design, making it difficult to distinguish the 4,000 varieties of counterfeits from the 7,000 varieties of genuine notes.
“While serving a five-year prison sentence[12 counts of statutory rape and child porn], the disgraced Reynolds was convicted on unrelated bank fraud charges in 1997, including lying to Securities and Exchange Commission investigators.
He received another six and a half years, but President Bill Clinton later commuted his sentence when he still had three years left to serve.”
First, it is due to “mistakes” (which are heavily apologized for). Then it is due to “emotion of the moment” or “getting carried away” and a perfunctory apology is made. Finally, the same words are uttered continually until they are defiantly justified.
“What’s wrong with that? You are old-fashioned, aren’t you? Grow up, it’s 2014!”
Whether it’s swearing or bearing (flesh), the Corporate Media can always be depended on to “push the envelope“–which is their way of turning sinful behavior into an act of bravery.
A FEW REMINDERS – In case the reader thinks this writer is too harsh on the Corporate Media. Sometimes, the rich and celebrated and those toiling for the mystery of iniquity speak frankly. These frank assessments are not normally publicized by the Corporate Media. But they can be found through dogged research.
While searching for other information, we collected 20 of those reminders of the way things are–as opposed to the way Americans are taught that things are. Most have to do with the real way the press and media work.
“A cynical, mercenary, demagogic press will produce in time a people as base as itself.”
“We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes. “
—John Swinton, chief-of-staff, New York Times, NY Press Club 1880
“Our job is to give people not what they want, but what we decide they ought to have.”
—Richard Salant, President of CBS News
“Such as it is, the press has become the greatest power within the Western World, more powerful than the legislature, the executive and judiciary. One would like to ask: by whom has it been elected, and to whom is it responsible?”
“Freedom of the Press belongs to the man who owns one”
— A.J. Liebling
” The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum – even encourage the more critical and dissident views. That gives people the sense that there’s free thinking going on, while all the time the presuppositions of the system are being reinforced by the limits put on the range of the debate. “
— Noam Chomsky, American linguist and US media and foreign policy critic. This has been an especially useful tool in the arena of Christian mass media. Clever media merchants have ever-so-slowly changed Christianity into what many–both Christians and non-believers–think it to be today. Which is a big reason so many other gospels are able to flourish.
“News is what someone wants to suppress. Everything else is advertising”.
—Reuben Frank, NBC News president
“One cannot wage war under present conditions without the support of public opinion, which is tremendously molded by the press and other forms of propaganda.”
— US General Douglas MacArthur
A trip through TIME magazine’s Person of the Year is to visit a gallery of press-promoted New World Order dupes and shills. In 1938, Adolph Hitler was Man of the Year. In 1939 and 1942, it was Josef Stalin. Henry Truman made it in 1945 for authorizing the atomic bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. In case there are any doubts about where the loyalties of the magazine lie, in 2013 TIME proclaimed pope Francis as “New World Pope.”
The following is the strategy for every antichrist minister of light and the entire range of Corporate Media outlets–including Christian mass media.
“If you give a man the correct information for seven years, he may believe the incorrect information on the first day of the eighth year when it is necessary, from your point of view, that he should do so. Your first job is to build the credibility and the authenticity of your propaganda, and persuade the enemy to trust you although you are his enemy.”
— A Psychological Warfare Casebook Operations Research Office Johns Hopkins University Baltimore (1958)
“Public sentiment is everything. With public sentiment nothing can fail. Without it nothing can succeed. He who molds opinion is greater than he who enacts laws.”
—Abraham Lincoln, US president 1860-65
“None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.”
— Johann W. von Goethe – Though Goethe wasn’t referring to it, this is particularly true of sin those enslaved by it.
“Our government has kept us in a perpetual state of fear-kept us in a continuous stampede of patriotic fervor-with the cry of grave national emergency. Always there has been some terrible evil at home or some monstrous foreign power that was going to gobble us up if we did not blindly rally behind it …”
— General Douglas MacArthur, 1957
“One of the intentions of corporate-controlled media is to instill in people a sense of disempowerment, of immobilization and paralysis. Its outcome is to turn you into good consumers. It is to keep people isolated, to feel that there is no possibility for social change.” David Barsamian, journalist, broadcaster and publisher
“Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed and hence, clamorous to be led to safety – by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary”
— H.L. Mencken, 1918
” The notion that journalism can regularly produce a product that violates the fundamental interests of media owners and advertisers … is absurd.”
— Robert W. McChesney, media critic and journalist
” The corporate grip on opinion in the United States is one of the wonders of the Western world. No First World country has ever managed to eliminate so entirely from its media all objectivity – much less dissent. “
— Gore Vidal, novelist and critic
” I know of no country in which there is so little independence of mind and real freedom of discussion as in America. “
—Alexis de Tocqueville, 19th century French political thinker and author of Democracy in America (1835)
“History is an account mostly false, of events mostly unimportant, which are brought about by rulers, mostly knaves, and soldiers, mostly fools.”
— Ambrose Bierce, American writer
“If those in charge of our society – politicians, corporate executives, and owners of press and television – can dominate our ideas, they will be secure in their power. They will not need soldiers patrolling the streets. We will control ourselves.”
— Howard Zinn, historian and author
‘In any society the dominant groups are the ones with the most to hide about the way society works.”
— Barrington Moore, American political sociologist
One should never think that these ever-so-brief revelations of how the world works are mistakes or offered in a sense of resistance to the NWO one world government. Every word written here was to further their ultimate dream of one world antichrist government.
“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
The quotation often given is in fact from Article XI of the Treaty of Tripoli (8 Stat 154, Treaty Series 358):
“As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion–as it has in itself no character or enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Musselmen–and as the said States never have entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mehomitan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.”
The text may be found in the Congressional Record or in treaty collections such as Charles I. Bevans’ Treaties and Other International Agreements of the United States of America 1776-1949, vol. 11 (pp. 1070-1080).
The Treaty of Tripoli was signed in Tripoli on November 4th, 1796. The English text of the treaty was approved by the U.S. Senate on June 7, 1797 and ratified by President John Adams on June 10, 1797. It was recently discovered that the US copy of the Arabic version of the treaty not only lacks the quotation, it lacks Article XI altogether. Instead it seems to contain the text of a letter to the Pasha of Tripoli from the Dey of Algiers.
The person who translated the Arabic to English was Joel Barlow, Consul General at Algiers, a close friend of Thomas Paine–and an opponent of Christianity. It is possible that Barlow made up Article XI, but since there is no Arabic version of that article to be found, it’s hard to say. It seems unlikely, however.
In 1806 a new Treaty of Tripoli was ratified which no longer contained the quotation. The 1815 Treaty With Algiers contains a similar article, but does not state that the US government is not founded on religion, only that it is not incompatible with any religion.
Ignoring the question of the wording of the Arabic version of the 1796 Treaty of Tripoli, we can conclude that the wording of the English article XI fairly represents the opinion of the time, as it was passed and approved by both the US Senate and the President.
There is zero evidence that America was founded as a Christian nation–except for the smooth words of smooth men in the Corporate Media stating that it is so. The question then becomes: why the deception? Is it an honest mistake? Is it for money? Are there other reasons? Are those reasons important for the American Christian today?
“Capital One does not visit our cardholders, nor do we send debt collectors to their homes or work,” the bank said in a statement, noting an exception for certain sports vehicle manufacturers that have repossession agreements with the bank.
“And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”
The following two statistics are staggering. Why does the reader suppose they are true? Any guesses?
” One of every three black men in America today is in prison, in jail, on probation or on parole. “
— In These Times magazine, November 1999, p9
” In 1995 … African-Americans made up 13 percent of the [U.S.] population and 15 percent of all drug users, yet they comprised 33 percent of people arrested, 53 percent of those convicted and 74 percent of those sentenced to prison for drug possession. “
— Marc Mauer – Race to Incarcerate, In These Times, November 1999, p9
Unjust occurrences are now happening to the middle class and middle aged. The government and big business have decided that the middle class’ time has now come. This has led to no jobs, rollbacks in benefits already earned, no retirement, no benefits–and inflation is making savings worth less.
But injustice took place all over America for years. Now that the corruption and injustice is affecting the middle class, it’s a problem.
“In the media, the world is turned upside down. The contras and the KLA are “democratizers”; the lethal sanctions against Iraq exist to deliver its people from their dictator; the destruction of Yugoslavia through aerial bombardment of civilians and their infrastructure is a “humanitarian intervention.”
— CovertAction Quarterly magazine, Fall/Winter 1999, p65
As someone this writer knows is fond of saying “Everything is backwards.”
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! “
We have been living in that “backwards” time for a good while. It’s only apparent now because sin so saturates society that it can no longer be hidden.
It is quite certain that those whom Christ has washed in His precious blood need not make a confession of sin, as culprits or criminals, before God the Judge, for Christ has for ever taken away all their sins in a legal sense, so that they no longer stand where they can be condemned, but are once for all accepted in the Beloved; but having become children, and offending as children, ought they not every day to go before their heavenly Father and confess their sin, and acknowledge their iniquity in that character? Nature teaches that it is the duty of erring children to make a confession to their earthly father, and the grace of God in the heart teaches us that we, as Christians, owe the same duty to our heavenly father. We daily offend, and ought not to rest without daily pardon. For, supposing that my trespasses against my Father are not at once taken to Him to be washed away by the cleansing power of the Lord Jesus, what will be the consequence? If I have not sought forgiveness and been washed from these offences against my Father, I shall feel at a distance from Him; I shall doubt His love to me; I shall tremble at Him; I shall be afraid to pray to Him: I shall grow like the prodigal, who, although still a child, was yet far off from his father. But if, with a child’s sorrow at offending so gracious and loving a Parent, I go to Him and tell Him all, and rest not till I realize that I am forgiven, then I shall feel a holy love to my Father, and shall go through my Christian career, not only as saved, but as one enjoying present peace in God through Jesus Christ my Lord. There is a wide distinction between confessing sin as a culprit, and confessing sin as a child. The Father’s bosom is the place for penitent confessions. We have been cleansed once for all, but our feet still need to be washed from the defilement of our daily walk as children of God.
