An Important Checklist For the Last Days

checklist

Once the reader enters the last days–with all the chaos and confusion which surround that time period–the reader may no longer be thinking very clearly.

After all, there will be a LOT on his mind.

Therefore, a CHECKLIST of SEVEN important things the reader should be concentrating on has being provided.

As with ALL CHECKLISTS, if the reader does not keep this list handy, it will do him little good.  Checklists are used to assist one’s memory.  IF one does not have his checklist, then he might, no doubt, forget an item or two.

So, the cautious reader may want to print a copy or two to keep handy.

These SEVEN items are VERY important for the reader who wants to be as prepared as possible.

No doubt there are those who will RESIST the items on this checklist.

All we can say is “Boo hoo x1000.”

So, without further explanation, here is the checklist of SEVEN important items to remember for the last days.

ETPR LAST DAYS CHECKLIST

1- Fear God.

This item may seem to be superfluous, but MANY should begin TODAY to develop a healthy fear of God, the CREATOR OF ALL.

Even if one has been told that God is just a fairy tale.

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
–Proverbs 1:7

“Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.”
–Proverbs 2:3,5

2- Having feared God, DILIGENTLY seek Him out.

“I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.”
–Proverbs 8:17

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
–Jeremiah 29:13

3- Having a fear of God and diligently sought Him out, appeal to His mercy.

“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
–Lamentations 3:22-23

4- Having obtained mercy from God, experience the spiritual re-birth (‘born again’) and become a member of the kingdom of heaven.

“There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. “
–John 3:1-7

Once having experienced the spiritual re-birth, the reader will then be a follower of Jesus Christ–and will reap the MANY benefits of that relationship.

5- Having become a follower of Jesus Christ, prepare for the persecution and tribulation that God’s Word clearly states is a CERTAINTY.

“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”
–2TIMOTHY 3:12

“Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”
–Acts 14:22

6- STUDY God’s Word.

Merely READING God’s Word does NOT carry the benefits of STUDY.

It is the ULTIMATE guide for living–particularly in the last days.

There is MUCH to learn and the time is short.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
–2TIMOTHY 2:15

7- SUBMIT to God and OBEY the commands found in God’s Word.

This is probably the hardest part for believers–at least, some of the commands are harder than others.

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”
–Ecclesiastes 12:13

“Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”
–Revelation 3:10

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
–James 1:22

NOW, there will be those who scoff at the items on this list.

That’s okay.  They can buy more freeze-dried food and stock up on some bullets.  We’ll see how that works out for them.

A few more observations:

1- The WISE reader will not wait until the last days are staring him in the face to do what is on this list.

2- The WISE reader will keep a copy of this list handy–so he won’t forget ANYTHING.

3- Some may say, “I already knew all of that!”

Great!

Now, DO IT!

[NOTE: The reader need not wait until the end to implement those items on this list.  It is a checklist of things one should be doing EVERY day–beginning with the present day.]

HAS the reader ‘checked off’ any of the items on this list?

IS the reader COMPLETELY sure he has performed any items he has ‘checked off’?

It is not YET too late: there is still a little time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16

Halloween: The Pagan Season of Samhain

pagan Stonehenge

With the Halloween season culminating TODAY, it was decided to provide a little information on the pagan predecessor of Halloween: Samhain.

Samhain is a Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and beginning of winter or “darker-half” of the year. In the northern hemisphere it is held on 1 November but with celebrations beginning on the evening of 31 October, since the Celtic day began and ended at sunset.

From the beginning, Samhain and its celebrants appeared to be obsessed with death.

The early literature says Samhain was marked by great gatherings and feasts and was when the ancient burial mounds, which were seen as portals to the Otherworld, were opened.
[…]
Like Beltane, Samhain was a liminal or threshold festival, when the boundary between this world and the Otherworld thinned, meaning the Aos Sí (the ‘spirits’ or ‘fairies‘) could more easily come into our world. Most scholars see the Aos Sí as remnants of pagan gods. At Samhain, they were appeased with offerings of food and drink, to ensure the people and their livestock survived the winter. The souls of dead kin were also thought to revisit their homes seeking hospitality, and a place was set at the table for them during a Samhain meal.

But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
–1CORINTHIANS 10:20

Like its modern counterpart, Halloween, Samhain was all about satisfying the senses–and more.

The early literature says Samhain was marked by great gatherings and feasts…

Divination was also a big part of the festival and often involved nuts and apples.

Like Halloween’s ‘trick or treat,’ Samhain had its guising.

In Scotland and Ireland, “guising” – children going from door to door in disguise – is traditional, and a gift in the form of food, coins or “apples or nuts for the Halloween party” (in more recent times chocolate) is given out to the children. The tradition is called “guising” because of the disguises or costumes worn by the children.

Samhain is one of the holiest of day celebrated by witches, pagans, satanists and others who want to distinguish themselves from the worshipers of God. The day CONTINUES to be celebrated, with the Corporate Media ensuring that as many as possible know about the FUN! to be had by celebrating the pagan observance.

Delaware witches have come out of the broom closet, casting spells and having fun

The latest full-moon celebration was Oct. 21. It was extra special because it’s close to Samhain, a pagan festival celebrated on Oct. 31, which inspired Halloween.

Witches commonly refer to the season of Samhain as “the thinning of the veil,” Stevenson said, because it’s a time where spirits become more visible to them. That means people might see subtle things like random shadows, if they’re sensitive to it.

The history of trick-or-treating, and how it became a Halloween tradition

Halloween is thought to date back more than 2,000 years to Samhain, a Celtic New Year’s Day that fell on November 1. Demons, fairies, and spirits of the dead were thought to walk the Earth the night before when the separation was thin between the worlds of the living and the dead.

CELTS USED TO CARVE TURNIPS TO WARD OFF EVIL SPIRITS DURING SAMHAIN

Long before pumpkins and gourds ruled over late October, root vegetables reigned supreme. But it wasn’t just in the name of spooky fun. In the 19th and early 20th century, people in Ireland and other Celtic domains carved faces into root vegetables. They most notably turned to turnips and carved them as part of Samhain, the pagan festival marking the beginning of winter.

All of which brings up the question: “Has the reader EVER had as much FUN! at Halloween as he was promised by the media?”

With the Halloween season getting bigger and longer the closer the return of Jesus Christ beckons, the reader can watch for the Halloween (Samhain) season growing longer and more outrageous.

All in the name of FUN!, of course.

WHICH brings up a second question: “Does the reader embrace ALL–all of the darkness and death–that Halloween and Sahain stand for?”

To the Unbelieving, EVERYTHING About Eternal Salvation Sounds Unbelievable

unbelievable

Among mankind, there are TWO distinct groups: the first is the VERY FEW and is composed of all those who are followers of Jesus Christ; the second is the BULK of ALL MEN, who do not believe God’s Word and who live as though there will be no judgment for one’s behavior in this life.

To the BELIEVER, those who are unbelieving are making a BIG mistake: they are trading a few moments of success in this present, fallen world for an eternity of torment.

To the UNBELIEVER, those who are believing are making a BIG mistake: they are trading away all of their chances at success in exchange for a nice story which only primitive, backward people could believe.

IF not for God’s everlasting mercy, ALL men would be unbelievers.  The ordinary man does NOT search out God or His Son, Jesus Christ.

“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
–Psalm 14:1-3

There may be those who FEEL they search for God.

There may be those who FEEL they fear God.

There may be those who FEEL they are “God’s children.”

BUT, unless those who FEEL such things have experienced the new birth through Jesus Christ, they are deceived and will be VERY unhappy when they are judged.

“The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.”
–Psalm 36:1

Once a person has experienced the new birth (the spiritual birth; born again), then all becomes CRYSTAL CLEAR: this world and almost everything in it become much less important.

He who has been re-born in Jesus Christ begins to take the “long view“: the VERY long view.

Because eternity is forever–and the newly-reborn man now KNOWS there is eternity and there are eternal consequences for one’s actions in this life.

And basically, this is the line which divides those two groups–the FEW who know and the MANY who substitute their feelings, their beliefs, their imaginings, their suppositions–the SURE KNOWLEDGE of the the way the world REALLY works, along with the SURE KNOWLEDGE of what this life is REALLY all about, as well as where this life leads a man FOREVER and EVER.

The UNBELIEVING busy themselves with this world and the things of this world. Before they know it, they are on their deathbed wrestling with their doubts and facing their lack of knowledge of what will soon take place.

BELIEVERS, on the other hand, already have that knowledge. There is no suppositions; there is no guesswork involved. Therefore, there is no mental or emotional wrestling happening.

Those who have experienced the spiritual re-birth have MANY INFALLIBLE PROOFS for what they believe. Those who have not experienced this ‘born again’ happening have only the stories told by other lost men as their sole comfort.

To the followers of Jesus Christ–FEW though they may be–this SURE knowledge is a comfort and joy.

It is the height of irony that the unbeliever finds questions of eternal salvation to be unbelievable–because he CANNOT believe it until he BELIEVES in other, more basic items.

To the unbelieving–who does NOT possess the believer’s SURE knowledge of what is to take place–all talk of eternity and eternal salvation or condemnation is totally UNBELIEVABLE.

DOES the reader believe that eternal salvation sounds unbelievable?

It is not YET too late: there is still a little time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

The Slow, Steady, RELENTLESS Inevitability of Man

inevitable

inevitable

incapable of being avoided or evaded

||an inevitable outcome

The Bible declares that man’s future is inevitable: man will die and then be judged by his Creator.

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”
–Hebrews 9:27

Man’s relatively SHORT shelf life was all part of the CREATOR’s plan for man and the earth.

So, God’s Word clearly states that each man will die and then be judged.

NOT very glamorous.

NOT very exciting.

NOT very chic.

As man is apt to do with such drab, clearly-stated information, the inevitability of man’s march to the grave (and judgment) has been spun into man being a force which cannot be stopped by ANYTHING anytime.

REGARDLESS of disease, financial woes and other seeming setbacks,(in the telling of men) man will not only OVERCOME: he will TRIUMPH through it all!

MAN IS INEVITABLE.

Of course, in these bold pronouncements, NO mention is made of an ETERNAL Creator (which would appear to be the very definition of “inevitable“).

Which brings up the point: it is MUCH easier to disbelieve when belief ruins a perfectly wonderful story.

In one sense, man IS inevitable.

As it has been written: man WILL die.

Man WILL be judged.

In that sense, man IS inevitable: slowly and steadily inevitable.

Only a VERY FEW will ever escape death.

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed”
–1CORINTHIANS 15:51

NONE will escape judgment.

The reader may be assured: NONE who tell the stories of man’s inevitable march to the top will escape death.

So, man IS inevitable.

Just NOT in the manner in which the world tells its story.

DOES the reader believe that man is at the top of the world’s food chain?

IS the reader one who believes that man will ALWAYS be at the top and never at the bottom looking up?

It is not YET too late: there is still a little time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
