Man Knows Best?

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
–Proverbs 3:5

“Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”
–Proverbs 3:7

“He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.”
–Proverbs 28:26

Man–particularly end times man–feels as if he is the final authority on almost everything which affects him.

This mistaken belief was summed up PERFECTLY by an acquaintance about a year ago.

“I may not know what’s best for anybody else, but I know what’s best for me.”

This belief (that man knows what is best for himself)–has been carefully taught to man over the centuries–is the basis for much scorn for God’s Word.

Especially in the end times.

“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.”
–2Peter 4:3-4

“How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.”
–Jude 1:18

Man THINKS he knows best about the circumstances which affect him.

BUT, man is deceived and knows nothing but the many deceptions he has been taught.  These deceptions are a sign of the end times and was something about which Jesus warned His disciples THREE times on the last night before he was taken and crucified.

” And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.”
–Matthew 24:3-4

“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”
–Matthew 24:11

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
–Matthew 24:24

Man has this belief that he knows best.

BUT THEN, at the first sign of trouble, man turns–for instructions on how to proceed–to those who deceive him

How sad that so many no longer believe the truth of God’s Word.

Man has made MANY mistakes along his path.  Man’s first BIG mistake was trusting to his own self.

The only ones who are convinced they know what’s best for themselves are the ones who are on the broad path to eternal perdition.

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
–Proverbs 14:12

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

The Enormous Handicaps Suffered by the Worker of Iniquity

“O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep. A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this. When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever”
–Psalm 92:7-9

As the last days approach, it may seem as if the workers of iniquity have it all going their way.

1- Schemes and plans which have been carefully followed for CENTURIES finally appear to come to fruition.

“The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.”
–Psalm 2:2-3

2- Here on earth, Satan’s power is at its very STRONGEST.  Satan’s power is so strong, the entire earth (except for the few believers) worships at Satan, his man of sin and their idol’s feet.

“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
–Revelation 13:4,8

3- The man of sin’s three-and-one-half-year control of the earth FINALLY takes place.

“and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months…and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.”
–Revelation 13: 5,7

4- Those who follow after God Almighty and His Son, Jesus Christ, are completely dominated by the dragon (Satan), the man of sin and their many workers of iniquity.

“I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time [three and one-half years].”
–Daniel 7:21,25

“And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them”
–Revelation 13:6-7

So, in the very last days before the return of Jesus Christ, the workers of iniquity appear to be in high cotton.

HOWEVER, the workers of iniquity–even in the final days–operate under some SEVERE handicaps.

While the number of handicaps is almost too great to count, what follows is several of the more severe.

* THE WORKER OF INIQUITY SUFFERS FROM A LACK OF INFORMATION. This lack of information takes two main forms: a lack of detailed information about the events, people and outcomes which prevent them from making good decisions; and, trusting to information which is NOT correct, which also prevents them from making good decisions about their future.The first type of information deficit is a factor of their NOT belonging to the kingdom of heaven and NOT receiving useful information from the One who sees all, knows all, is everywhere.  The second type of informational lack has to do with stories and information the workers of iniquity “know” because someone else has told them it is so–and it is not.

* THE WORKER OF INIQUITY SUFFERS FROM A LACK OF FAITH. Without faith, the worker of iniquity cannot have a healthy fear of God.A fear of God is a prerequisite for all types of wisdom and knowledge.

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge”
–Proverbs 1:7

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”
–Proverbs 9:10

“The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.”
–Proverbs 15:33

Without faith and a fear of the LORD, the worker of iniquity is handicapped by cutting off a conduit of wisdom and knowledge–both of which would prove helpful in making right decisions.

* THE WORKER OF INIQUITY HAS BEEN MIS-EDUCATED FROM AN EARLY AGE.

All of the disadvantages listed make it extremely difficult for the worker of iniquity to make good decisions.

For this reason (and others), believers are to pray for the workers of iniquity.

Modern Lies: Knowledge is Power

There a great number of modern lies which men tell each other–until a GREAT NUMBER of men believe them.

Some of the more common lies which are told, re-told and repeated some more are

  1. Less is more
  2. Knowledge is power
  3. A person has “rights” which will protect him from being taken advantage of by those who are richer, bigger, stronger or smarter
  4. Stashing away gold, guns and groceries will prepare a person against an uncertain future

There are an almost innumerable amount of other, similar untruths, but the four above are four of the more common.

Since the first on the list has already been covered (LESS IS MORE: Living in the World of Nineteen Eighty-Four), in this piece the focus will be on the second on the list (Knowledge is power).

One of the easiest ways for the reader to know “knowledge is power” is only a story told to the ignorant is to take a look at people who have a lot of knowledge.

Are these people generally powerful?

Even those who make their living exchanging potentially-embarrassing personal information for money (blackmail and extortion) are NOT particularly powerful.  This can be demonstrated by the large number of blackmailers who end up in prison.

Convicts are not powerful.

Seven or eight years ago, there was a scene in the popular cable TV show, Game of Thrones, which illustrated the complete falseness of “Knowledge is power.”

The scene is a conversation between Cersei Lannister (a rich and powerful woman who would later become Queen) and one of her advisers, Petyr Baelish, who hints he has information to possibly blackmail Cersei about Cersei and her brother’s intimate trysts.

Cersei Lannister:
I heard a song once, about a boy of modest means, found his way in the home of a very prominent family. He loved the eldest daughter. Sadly, she had eyes for another.

Petyr Baelish:
When boys and girls live in the same home, awkward situations can arise. Sometimes, I’ve heard, even brothers and sisters develop certain affections. And when those affections become common knowledge, well that is an awkward situation indeed, especially in a prominent family. Prominent families often forget a simple truth I found.

Cersei Lannister:
And which truth is that?

Petyr Baelish:
Knowledge is power.

[Cersei pauses a moment]

Cersei Lannister:
[to her guards] Cut his throat. [her guards move to do so]

Cersei Lannister:
No, wait. [chuckles] I’ve changed my mind. Let him go. [her guards do so] Step back three paces. [they obey]. Turn around. [they obey] Close your eyes. [they obey].

Cersei Lannister:
[steps up to Petyr] Power is power.

“Power is power.”

One good reason wars have never been fought with books and chalkboards.

[Taken from several recent discussions as well as the odd note–but mostly from the odd note.]

Not a LOT of random thoughts today.

BUT there are a few…

DROUGHT

The world LOVES to change the definition of words–particularly words used to describe the world’s many deceptions.

There are a great many of these words which have seen their traditional meaning flushed down the memory hole, their NEW meaning adhering to whatever line the world asks the word to toe.

One of these words is “drought.” “Drought” traditionally meant a period of NO rainfall.  ONCE an area received rain, that was the end of the drought.

Simple, huh?

NO RAIN = DROUGHT.

RAIN = NO DROUGHT.

But to moderns, “drought” means a time of extreme dryness, with rain NOT factored in.  It isn’t hard to figure why this has occurred: instead of documented rainfall being the beginning and end of drought, NOW drought is defined by experts, authorities, weather poobahs, drought monitors, water watchers, scientists and any other worldly authority.

NOW, “drought” is whatever an expert declares it to be.

Rain?

Oh, that doesn’t mean anything to the modern.  Many a headline has declared that just because it rained, the reader need not think the drought is over.

Oh, no.

It all has to do with the world’s favorite (before coronavirus) plaything: climate change.  Climate change is claimed to cause drought and if no drought is happening…

…well, these days, it’s much easier to create a drought than it used to be.

THE MEDIA’S FOCUS ON SURVEILLANCE TECHNOLOGY

How many stories has the reader come across about “facial recognition” software or systems?

Did the story have a menacing, dark tone?

Was the reader scared?

Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) runs a never-ending stream of stories about TECHNOLOGICAL surveillance or information grabs or computer hacks.

How many media stories has the reader seen about the HUMAN SURVEILLANCE networks of the government (local, state, federal)?

It is still fairly easy to prove these networks exist and the  MILLIONS of dollars (total) paid to the massive amount of informers.

Anyone with an Internet connection and the desire to learn can find these networks and how much money is paid to the people in these networks who inform on their neighbors and acquaintances–at least SOME of these can be found.

For a little while longer.
