The Widespread and Constant Misuse of the Word “Apocalypse”

mistake

Every day brings confirmation that the world–particularly the Corporate Media (Satan’s Mouthpiece) and Corporate Entertainment–have tried to completely hijack the meaning of “apocalypse.

Apocalypse” DOES NOT mean “doomsday” or “end of the world“–although so many have misused the word for so long that some online dictionaries now reflect this widespread misuse by adding the corrupted meaning–so commonly used in the media–to the previously-accepted list of definitions.

Apocalypse” DOES mean “a revealing” or a “revelation.”

The reader can absolutely know this because “apocalypse” comes from the Greek word “apokalypsis,” from apokalyptein ‘to uncover’.

Yes, the last book in the Bible is called the “Revelation of Jesus Christ.”

And yes, that Book of Revelation DOES contain much information about the time immediately before the return of Jesus Christ.

But no, as the Revelation makes clear: it is NOT “the end of the world.”

In fact, the same biblical Book of Revelation is called Apocalypse in Catholic Bibles.

It is the revelation of events which will occur according to Jesus Christ, who gave these events to His apostle, John.

Those events detail the chaining of Satan AND the end of the wicked upon the return of Jesus Christ to earth.

Which is the main reason so many in the world (and in the churches) make the mistake of confusing “apocalypse” with “the end of the world.

DOES the reader automatically think of physical solutions when he thinks of “the end of the world“?

THE GOSPEL

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
