Because modern man–especially the modern American–is surrounded by deception and lies, he can no longer tell the truth from lies.

Most people cling to what is familiar. It doesn’t matter how much warning they have received or how clear the signs are that their life is about to change.
This strong desire to cling to that which seems familiar DESPITE CLEAR SIGNS THAT IT WILL SOON PASS AWAY is a deception: a denial.
Call it a love; perhaps even a worship of the routine. This extreme devotion of one’s daily life occurred once before: in the time before the flood. The wicked people of that generation were BLINDED to their peril by their slavish concentration on daily, routine tasks.
“They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.”

This condition of denial will once again be prevalent and take hold of the generation preceding the return of Jesus Christ.
“And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.”

The world and those of the world are fond of shouting “Wake up! Wake up! Why won’t people wake up?”
But there is no self-awakening from a spiritual deception. There is only the doom that falls, seemingly without warning, to those who insist on ignoring the truth.
The world even has a word for sticking one’s head in the sand and pretending something isn’t happening.
Even though many can see that the world is changing, most would rather pretend it is not. This is especially true if one is generally comfortable in one’s situation.
In this way, a person will seek to avoid ANY changes to his routine. This strong desire to remain in a time and/or place which exists NOWHERE except in the mind of the deceived is a type of delusion.
This refusing to acknowledge reality is a form of self-deception.
And the end times are certainly a time of great deception.
History is a record of civilizations and societies which have changed very quickly. Sometimes this is due to war, weather or other “acts of God.”
The end times are one sustained act of God.
Jesus Christ will return and His kingdom with Him.
Whether the world desires or believes it or not.
“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.”

The blatantly antichrist nature of the pagan churches which are in every village, town and city of America are becoming too much to cover up. Soon, the pagan members will brazenly attack Jesus and all who follow Him.
Even now, the antichrist forces prepare for their coming 42-month time of ascent.
One of the groups in the vanguard of the man of sin is the International House of Prayer (Kansas City).
IHOP isn’t your regular Sunday morning church, and neither are its off-shoots. How many churches do you know that have armed guards and escort folks who are asking questions, off of the premises? Isn’t the entire foundation of Christianity based upon a “seek and ye will find” premise? That doesn’t seem to apply at the International House of Prayer, where if ye seek ye will be thrown out by thy armed security guards. Something’s wrong with this picture.
Members of these groups believe they have been hand-selected by God to pray in the Apocalypse, the Second Coming of Christ and become a raised up End-Times army. They are taught to expect opposition from those that are not chosen of God. The greater the opposition, the greater the proof they are on the ordained path.
Very, very soon it will become apparent why the pagans in the churches ceaselessly babble about a god and rarely speak of Jesus Christ.
Soon it will become apparent why the counterfeits have refused to preach the gospel for decades.
Very soon the tares will no longer be able to smile and pretend they are something they are clearly not.

While IHOP will perform valuable services for the man of sin, it is far from being the only antichrist group hiding in the churches.
This is the highjacking of Christianity which is taking place before the eyes of the people who sit in the pews of American churches. Self-appointed self-anointed “apostles and prophets” are poised for a public takeover of the churches.

Back in September, Salon published an article written by a self-described pedophile who argues that the urge to molest children is a “sexual identity” disorder. In a video released Tuesday, the outlet again allowed the pedophile to address its audience.
The legend of the Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) attack has been carefully built over the past five years or so. In the near future, the legend will be brought out, re-told and added to when it is needed.
Of course this legend will be told around campfires, there being no electricity or other modern conveniences after an EMP attack.

God is sending a strong delusion so that all who do not have a love for the truth will be damned.
When is this strong delusion coming?
The Bible doesn’t give the timing; only that it will happen in the end times. This strong delusion is so that all who do not have a love of the truth will not repent and be saved.
This happens sometime before God pours out his wrath upon the earth and the sinners which populate it. Even though the inhabitants of the earth see these frightful judgments from God and even though God gives them time to repent (change directions), those who dwell upon the earth curse God instead of repenting and asking Him for mercy.
“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”

“And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.”

So, even though mankind is being slammed by the supernatural wrath of God being poured out upon the earth, men shake their tiny fists at the sky and fling their powerless curses and die in the dirt and burn for eternity rather than repent and give their Creator glory.
Not real smart–but it is definitely man at his most arrogant.
And man is a most arrogant, prideful piece of dirt.

Stress may push us toward putting on a tinfoil hat – The usual unimaginative propaganda against any who question the official versions of the government/media/education system. Eventually, questioning the official party line will carry with it the diagnosis of “mental illness” and the appropriate sentence à la the old Soviet Union.
A recent paper in the Journal of Personality and Individual Differences reports a correlation between stress and conspiracy theory belief, suggesting that a very common experience could be one of these factors.

The end times are a time of great deception.
It is a time of deception so great, it permeates EVERY SINGLE facet of everyday life.
In that regard, the end times mirror the times we are living in at present.
This deception covers politics, education, science, medicine, media, entertainment, business, childcare, the churches: in short, EVERY aspect of our lives. However, modern man has learned to live with this deception and even defend it.
Modern man does not have a love of the truth.
The Bible predicted this condition and said that because most don’t have a “love of the truth” God will let them live with the lies with which they have surrounded themselves.
In fact, He will send them a “strong delusion” to ensure they don’t see and understand. Men will have to turn from the lies and deceptions BEFORE the climax of history.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

Many people can see the deceptions in government, politics and the media. Yet they do not know the true extent of those deceptions because they do not have a love of the truth.
They value ‘fitting in’ over the truth.
Many people can see the deceptions in entertainment. Yet they do not know the true extent of those deceptions because they do not have a love of the truth.
They value the opinions of other men over the truth.
Many people can see the deceptions in their churches. Yet they do not know the true extent of those deceptions because they do not have a love of the truth.
They enjoy the ‘fellowship,’ food and personal relationships: they value their comfort over the truth.
Those who do not have a love of the truth will be sent a strong delusion by God to ensure that they do not stop believing lies and deceptions.
“that they all might be damned.”
Some play a dangerous ‘wait-and-see‘ game with their eternal soul. They believe that IF judgments begin falling on the earth, they will repent and enjoy eternal life.
God will not allow this: He is sending a strong delusion so that this does not happen.
God does not care about your ‘comfort zone.’
God does not care about the opinions of men.
God does not care about ‘sight-walkers‘ whose doubt drives them to ‘wait and see’ what will happen.
God is looking for a people of faith.
“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.”

God values faith: on believing and acting on His Word BEFORE the judgments of the end times fall upon the earth.
“For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?”

God does not reward doubt; God does not reward ‘wait and see.’
God rewards faith.
Do not wait.
Change the way you are going: Repent and turn to the LORD.

GOD’S JUDGMENTS: Many are expecting God to unleash his judgments on the earth. What are they?
“And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.”

In both the New and Old Testaments, one of God’s judgments is to give wicked men what they desire: to live in their iniquity and sin.
Men want to live in sin? Fine, God will finally allow them to have their desire. Men want to believe lies? Great, God will not only allow them to, He will send them strong delusion to ensure that they don’t wimp out when stronger judgments appear.
There comes a point when God ceases to try to convince men of their lost condition and gives them completely over to it.
“Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.”

God will particularly allow men to believe falsehood and lies in the end times. Because men do not want the truth, God will send them a strong delusion so that they will believe the end times lies of the dragon.
ALL who are sent the strong delusion (because they did not have a love of the truth) are damned.
“And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

Jesus did so many miracles of God, yet the Scripture says they did not believe on him.
“But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him: That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?”

The crucifixion and death of Jesus also was the fulfillment of Isaiah’s 53rd chapter.
“He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.”

One of God’s end times judgments is to allow men to believe the lies of the wicked.
Strong delusion is coming. Don’t get caught in chasing after lies. The end result is eternal damnation.
“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;”

STRONG DELUSION: God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie

One of the saddest aspects of the end times is the pervasive deceit which the Bible says is present. Why is this sad?
Because many of those who are deceived know they are being lied to. But, they have been deceived into believing various lies that prevent them from breaking free of their bondage.
“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

To this end, Americans are surrounded by propaganda and lies.
Some might disagree, connecting propaganda with the clunky, old Soviet version. But propaganda is in every news article, on the TV, in the entertainment, in advertisements. In short, propaganda reinforces itself by being everywhere.
Propaganda is different than bold-faced lies. Propaganda appeals to emotions, attempting to sweep the reader away with anger, hatred, patriotism, or other strong feelings.
Take the following joke by Jimmy Fallon–and late night “jokes” are prime areas for propaganda and the reinforcement of previously-told lies. It reinforces a “scientific fact” which has no proof: that oil is a fossil fuel. Why the mystery of iniquity wishes Americans to believe in the fossil fuel fairy tale is another story for another day.
Fifteen states across the country have gas prices that have dipped below $2. That means it’s now cheaper to buy a gallon of liquefied dinosaurs than one cup of coffee at Starbucks.

This is a good demonstration of how every “joke” is a small piece of propaganda or a lie.
There is no entertainment in the way that most people think about entertainment. There are only opportunities to implant more lies, propaganda, and deceptions. Whether it is a movie, a song, a TV show, comedy or whatever, all entertainment is a series of opportunities to indoctrinate the masses when they are relaxed and have let their guards down.
ALL entertainment has become a series of lies, half-truths, propaganda and deceit–including the joke reproduced here.
But this joke is more of a lie than propaganda.
Lies are everywhere one looks. People believe hundreds of lies every day, beginning with every commercial they see or hear or read.
Lies are especially prevalent in the modern churches.
Because many have fairly comfortable lives, they are content with believing lies. To question them would involve too much work, unsettling personal relationships or a possible loss of prestige, money or social contacts.
Because many are comfortable with believing lies, God will no longer try to challenge them with the truth of God’s Word. God will turn them over to their lies–and believing those lies will condemn them all.
Every one of them.

STRONG DELUSION IS COMING: All those who don’t have a love of the truth will be damned
“Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

Strong delusion is coming. Do you have a love for the truth?
Either one believes we are living in the end times, or one does not.
If one believes we are living in the end times, then one has to believe what the Bible says about the end times. One cannot simply “make it up as one goes along.”
Though many do.
This strong delusion will have nothing to do with aliens, giants, UFOs, nephilim, ETs or any of the other subjects so beloved by the Science Fiction false teachers of the Modern American Prophecy Industry–other than those who enjoy getting their ears tickled by such mythology will get to enjoy it yet a little while longer.
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

Doctrines unheard of in Christianity 100 years ago are the latest rage. Gnostic teachings that plagued the early Church have been dusted off, re-branded and used for bait to catch the gullible. American churches are filled with those hungering for experiences, miracles, signs and wonders.
These are the times about which the apostle Paul warned: strong delusion is coming.
THE STRONG DELUSION
Paul wrote to the Thessalonians to warn them that all who did not “love the truth” would be sent a “strong delusion” by God so that they might believe a lie.
In other words, God would allow men to do what they wanted to do. Because they had not a love for the truth, He would allow them what they wanted: to believe a lie.
“…that they should believe a lie.”
This does not affirm that God wished them to believe a lie nor that he would not have preferred that they should believe the truth; nor that he exerted any direct agency to cause them to believe a lie. It means merely that he left them, because they did not love the truth, to believe what was false, and what would end in their destruction. Can any one doubt that this constantly occurs in the world? Men are left to believe impostors; to trust to false guides; to rely on unfounded information; to credit those who live to delude and betray the innocent; and to follow those who lead them to ruin. God does not impose by direct power to preserve them. Can any one doubt this? Yet this is not peculiarly the doctrine of revelation. The fact pertains just as much to the infidel as it does to the believer in Christianity, and he is just as much bound to explain it as the Christian is. It belongs to our world–to us all–and it should not be charged on Christianity as a doctrine pertaining peculiarly to that system.

Strong delusion is coming. Do you have a love for the truth?
Paul says that “all” who “have not a love for the truth” will be “damned.” This is not God’s desire but He allows it to happen.
This does not mean that God somehow takes away a person’s free will as some might erroneously believe. God never changes.
One who may not affirm the doctrine of Total Depravity may try to explain away this passage by saying, “Well, God knew they wouldn’t respond anyway, so what’s the difference?” Well, the difference is that their (the recipients of the strong delusion) unbelief has been assisted by the very Lord whom they say has made them able to believe. Is there not a point here where certain people’s’ “wills” are no longer “free”?

Verse 12. That they all might be damned. The word damned we commonly apply now exclusively to future punishment, and it has a harsher signification than the original word. See Barnes for 1Co 11:29. The Greek word krinw — means to judge, determine, decide; and then to condemn, Ro 2:27; 14:22; Jas 4:11; Joh 7:51; Lu 19:22; Ac 13:27. It may be applied to the judgment of the last day, Joh 5:22; 8:50; Ac 17:31; Ro 3:6; 2Ti 4:1, but not necessarily. The word judged, or condemned, would, in this place, express all that the Greek word necessarily conveys. Yet there can be no doubt that the judgment or condemnation which is referred to, is that which will occur when the Saviour will appear. It does not seem to me to be a necessary interpretation of this to suppose that it teaches that God would send a strong delusion that they should believe a lie, in order that all might be damned who did not believe the truth; or that he desired that they should be damned, and sent this as the means of securing it; but the sense is, that this course of events would be allowed to occur, so that ina not eiv to all who do not love the truth would be condemned. The particle here used, and rendered “that” (ina) in connection with the phrase “all might be damned” is employed in two general senses, either as marking the end, purpose, or cause for, or on account of, which anything is done; to the end that, or in order that it may be so and so; or as marking simply the result, event, or upshot of an action, so that, so as that. Robinson, Lex. In the latter case it denotes merely that something will really take place, without indicating that such was the design of the agent, or that what brought it about was in order that it might take place. It is also used, in the later Greek, so as neither to mark the purpose, or to indicate that the event would occur, but merely to point out that to which the preceding words refer. It is not proper, therefore, to infer that this passage teaches that all these things would be brought about in the arrangements of Providence, in order that they might be damned who came under their influence. The passage teaches that such would be the result; that the connection between these delusions and the condemnation of those who were deluded, would be certain. It cannot be proved from the Scriptures that God sends on men strong delusions, in order that they may be damned. No such construction should be put on a passage of Scripture if it can be avoided, and it cannot be shown that it is necessary here.
Who believed not the truth. The grounds or reasons why they would be damned are now stated. One would be that they did not believe the truth –not that God sent upon them delusion in order that they might be damned. That men will be condemned for not believing the truth, and that it will be right thus to condemn them, is everywhere the doctrine of the Scriptures, and is equally the doctrine of common sense. But had pleasure in unrighteousness. This is the second ground or reason of their condemnation. If men have pleasure in sin, it is proper that they should be punished. There can be no more just ground of condemnation than that a man loves to do wrong.
This is one reason that believers cannot lightly dismiss sections of God’s Word which do not agree with their doctrines. ALL Scripture is given for the believer’s benefit–not just the parts agreeable to him.
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

Scripture which seems to be contradictory isn’t. All Scripture is a unifying whole. If Scripture seems to conflict, then there is a need to reconcile the verses to obtain a full understanding of what is said.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.“

Sadly, in times in which we live, “dueling Scripture” occurs much more frequently than “reconciling Scripture.”
How can mere man hope to avoid the traps and deceptions of the enemy? Pray for wisdom. God’s Word guarantees that the prayer will be answered.
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.“
