THE WHORE CHURCH: CHRISTIAN BEWARE!
Christian Entertainment – One never knows where one will find bits and pieces of the end times puzzle strewn about.
Too many Christians have bought the “seven mountains of culture” lie. Arts and entertainment is one of those “mountains.” We’re not here to transform cultures but to preach the gospel to the lost. Who does that anymore? Who preaches the simple gospel of the cross of Jesus Christ? We want to entertain people instead. We don’t know that they’re laughing their way into hell.
Ah, yes, the “seven mountains.” Now where have we heard that before?
Oh yeah.
“And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.”
—Revelation 17:9
There a Church which is soon to be. A Church which will subdue all kindreds, tongues and nations. A Church which will sit on a foundation of “seven mountains.” This Church which will be the mirror image of the remnant Church it will seek to martyr: the whore Church of Revelation 17 and 18.
This Church will loudly insist–as it is doing at present–that it is the Bride of Christ herself, usurping the title from the true Church. In fact, the Bible tells us though this church will look a lot like Christianity, it will sound like Satan–and so it currently does.
This whore Church will also do great signs and lying wonders–to the delight and pleasure of all those walking by sight instead of by faith.
“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,”

The whore Church will relentlessly pursue those believers who stick to the Bible and refuse to swear allegiance to the whore’s blasphemies.

Even now, there are legions of self-appointed, self-anointed “prophets and apostles” laboring day and night to ensure the success of the whore. Many of them speak–as does the New Age–about a great “cleansing” which will have to take place once they achieve dominion over the entire earth.

But despite his denial, Bickle’s teachings are in line with “Kingdom Now” dominionism, including his teaching that the end-time church will cleanse the earth of evil.

The Bible says this “cleansing of evil” and “purification” will be the martyrdom of the saints. To the whore Church–as in the New Age–the saints of Jesus Christ will be the “evil” that must be destroyed from the earth.

The whore Church will be the beneficiary of a great falling away which will look like a great end times revival to the lukewarm and deceived sitting in its pews; and the whole world will wonder after the whore and the world system upon which it rides to power.
The New World Order (this first beast system), though it will be of Satan, will be sacrificed in order to exalt the whore Church in the eyes of deceived men–and it will rather seamlessly assume the power of the first worldwide beast system. In fact, this whore Church will come to power by pretending to destroy the obviously-evil New World Order which will precede it.

The destruction–or so it will appear–of the incredibly evil New World Order system will be the cause of GREAT celebration the world over, especially in Babylon, the home of the whore. Deluded and refusing to test the spirits, men will suppose it to be the triumph of Good over Evil. The flashy shows of supernatural power will validate the whore Church as being from God–and people of every tribe and tongue and nation will flock to be a part of it.
People love a winner!
With the apparent destruction of the NWO, this generation will at last have it’s sign–and what a sign it will be. Everyone will run to the whore: all of the world’s lukewarm and deceived will finally have a Church where sight-walking will be appreciated and rewarded.

It took a lot of praying to make that simple connection. God really does honor James 1:5.
Once the connection was made, there was a sense of “Are you kidding me? Why did they change the name of their game plan to “Seven Mountains of Culture?” It used to be the “Seven Spheres.”

When you talk about the “destruction” of the NWO, are you referring to the beast’s deadly wound that will be healed (Rev. 13) – or something else? I’m confused on your reading of the whore church (Babylon). Also, who are the 10 kings (of the 1st beast) who will destroy the woman in Rev. 17?

Boy, am I glad you asked these questions!
See if these make sense to you. Many parts are mostly rather new to me (the last three months). This may take a few minutes.
When I was attempting to put all of the pieces together–and there’s a ton of them–I found that Bible commentaries weren’t very helpful. The modern explanations were almost entirely worthless. Sometimes, they referred to the beast as “the antichrist,” and other times, as his system. The clear reading and the interpretation supplied by the heavenly being to John clearly demonstrates the beast is a system (of government).
The whore and Babylon the Great (Rev 17 and 18) were terms which were also frequently interchanged, and though I knew this couldn’t be, I didn’t know how to separate the two. I’m not slow, but sometimes I felt it was just “beyond me.” There were so many questions, I never thought I would ever have the answers.
Sometimes, I felt like these might even be the “secret things of God” and not meant to be figured out. But, John was told not to seal up Revelation, so that couldn’t be true.
But God answers prayers!
The whore (the religious system, the satanic church) has “Mystery, Babylon the Great” written on her forehead, but she clearly is NOT Babylon the great, which is described in Revelation 18 (and elsewhere). Babylon the great is a great end times country which has great military, economic and other power.
So, the whore, which is a church/religious system (and which is an evil counterfeit of the Bride of Christ) is very closely intertwined with Babylon. The whore and Babylon cannot be the same entity because the whore is destroyed some point before the end while Babylon is destroyed clear at the end, either immediately before or at the same time as Armageddon. One other reason the whore and Babylon the great cannot be the same entity: the kings destroy the whore while God Himself destroys Babylon the great.
So, the whore church is very closely connected with Babylon and rides upon a world system of power, which eventually destroys it. The whore sits on seven mountains (Strangely enough, one of the meanings of “mountains” is “high places” as in places used to sacrifice to other gods.)
We have two beasts rising. Most see them as the antichrist and false prophet and see them working together. The man of sin comes from the first beast system. I believe he is described as the “mouth” of the beast in Rev 13:5. (Most people refer to this guy as the “antichrist” but again, they confuse him and the system.)
The first beast suffers what appears to be a deadly head wound. This, is when the first beast system (what is popularly called the New World Order) is sacrificed to the whore church. The whore’s leaders and pew sitters pray down fire upon the NWO and appear to destroy it.
(NOTE: This meshes with the demonic Roman Catholic papal “Prophecy of St Malachi” that says that Rome will be destroyed during the reign of the last pope. Not that I put any stock in nonbiblical sources, but this has gotten wide publicity and many people believe it. Satan has invested much time and resources, especially over the last 100 years, setting up an entire end times scenario which is completely different from what the Bible says. He will then supply the events to flesh out this scenario and it will deceive almost the entire world. He is very clever.)
Okay, back to the whore, which has just prayed down fire from heaven (Rev 13:13) and appears to have destroyed the first beast. The whore then assumes the power of the first beast (she rides upon it). The whore actually morphs into the second beast system (which looks a lot like a lamb [Rev 13:11]).
The second beast system is riding upon the power structure, the framework of the first (the New World Order). The whore hasn’t destroyed the first, she merely will take over the levers of power (using the seven mountains of culture strategy of placing her people in all the spheres of cultural power). It will appear to the world that the whore supernaturally destroyed the NWO, though.
To those who believe that God will rapture them out before any of this takes place (in spite of what the Bible clearly says), the whore will look like an absolute haven of safety in a completely evil world. These people will be terrified at the prospect of having to face what they were told they would never have to confront (Isn’t it odd that the stronghold of pre-tribulation rapture [which I was taught and believed for a short while] is in America? Most of the rest of the world hasn’t been taught this doctrine. Ever wonder why that is?)
The 90 percent of America who holds to this doctrine will flood the whore church when it begins performing signs and lying wonders. The miracles, signs and wonders will validate the whore as being from God in their eyes because they walk by sight and don’t have a love of the truth. They will be absolutely certain that they are serving God Almighty Himself–even as they seek to kill the saints (who they will be completely convinced by their church leaders are evil and from Satan).
The 10 kings will be 10 rulers of the NWO who will basically retain power through the time of both beasts. I’m not sure if these 10 are generally known publicly, or if they are 10 “kings behind the curtain” so to speak. It’s been very publicly promoted in the Corporate Media that the UN (and other worldwide organizations) has split the earth into 10 regions and it will be promoted that 10 individuals will rule them.
I think this may be the mask of the 10 kings. The Corporate Media does not tell the truth, so I’m inclined to think that this is only the public face of a group of private, behind-the-scenes powers. This makes sense because, though the world thinks the first beast is destroyed, it is not really.
The first beast will be Rome-centered; the second beast will appear to be Babylon-centered.
There are still some loose ends, but this appears to be the main points.
I know this is not the scenario that is popular or is being taught. It does seem to be the one that is unfolding before my eyes daily however.
If you have any further questions, please pose them. This is actually the first time I’ve set down all the main points in one piece. Every time I attempt an article, a point will come up and I start researching and praying and it remains unfinished.

1. I believe in a pre-tribulation rapture and I think it’s biblical. God won’t beat up on his bride. He always rescues his people before judging unbelievers – Noah in the ark, Lot in Sodom, etc.
2. This confuses me. “Back to the whore, which has just prayed down fire from heaven (Rev 13:13) and appears to have destroyed the first beast.” It never says that the whore destroys this beast. He’s wounded by a sword (Rev 13:14).
3. ‘Seven heads are seven mountains’ is the 1st beast (Rev 13:1). I’m thinking the ‘seven mountains of culture’ movement is prep for the anti-Christ. Seven kings will govern them (Rev 17:10). What if the seven churches of Asia have a modern counterpart – seven world churches/cities combating the seven mountains/kings? In the last few years, God has given me 3 messages for my hometown that applied to Sardis (Rev 3:1-2).

I was constantly told this when I began to have Scriptural questions about pre-tribulation rapture. I’m sorry, but this is the way the world thinks.
This is what I wrote in October:

I’m not being flippant. It was taught to me and I believed it also. But a quick look through the Bible shows that the two words most frequently used with “persecution” and “tribulation” are “Glory” and “Rejoice.”

It is absolutely true that Jesus rescues His people before judging unbelievers. The Bible tells us that this is true whether the rescue involves eternal salvation or a rescue of the flesh.

Oh, this is a very, very good point! I am glad you came up with these!
Strong’s says that Sword (as used in Rev 13:14) means the literal sword but may also mean “(figuratively) an instrument for exacting retribution.” It is the same word used in Matthew 10:34.
“Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.”

Good points. Sardis, huh? That’s not so good. But there’s a lot of Sardis’s around and a lot of Thyatira’s and Laodicea everywhere one looks (IMO).
The only difficulty I see with the seven kings ruling the seven mountains is that the kings destroy the whore which sits on the mountains. I supposed they could move?!? But I said previously that the whore gets destroyed earlier than Babylon. I was thinking about how I knew this: did I read this or did I know this? I read it. This is what the prophecy guys say.
Revelation 16:13 tells us that the false prophet will still be around right before the battle of Armageddon.
This is very good. Very good point about the sword. These are all important points that have to be addressed. Let me know what you think about the sword–and any other thoughts on this. If we’re to get an accurate look at the events, it’s imperative that it be strictly according to the Bible and not my thoughts (which I really try to keep out of it).

1. Rapture: how do you read Isaiah 26:19-20 and 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17? “Falling away” in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 can also mean “caught up,” as in 1 Thess. 4:17. After the fullness of the Gentiles comes in (end of church age), all Israel will be saved (Romans 11:25-26).
2. Interesting point on the sword! I’ll have to look that up. The Bible is silent on the wound one of the beast’s heads receives and how it’s healed. We only know it’s deadly and he’s wounded with a sword.
3. I think the Rev 17 whore and Rev 18 Babylon are one and the same. God will burn her with fire through 10 kings. Compare 17:2, 6, and 18 with 18:3, 8, and 24. I also think the first Rev 13 beast is the anti-Christ. This son of perdition will go into perdition (2 Thessalonians 2:3, Rev 17:8, 11). His one-world system of government is the 7 heads and 10 horns. There are two sets of kings: 7 (world leaders, heads of cultural mountains, “kings of the earth”) and 10. The latter will destroy the whore. The anti-Christ will arise from the group of 7 and become the 8th king (Rev 17:11). Six is the number of man, seven that of God, and eight that of the Holy Spirit (restarts cycle). See my article “Perfection: God’s Math.” That the anti-Christ is the 8th king is as demonic as it gets, just like 666.

Well, okay.
First 2 Thessalonians 2:3 – “falling away” was translated from the Greek “apostasia” [Strong’s 646] which means rebellion, apostasy, defection, revolt.”
“Catching away” in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 comes from the Greek “harpagēsometha” [Strong’s 726] which means to “seize” to “snatch up decisively and suddenly.”
I know that some have taught that the falling away is the catching away–but this is simply not true.
Isaiah 26:19-20 -“Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise.” is the antithesis and a direct reference to Isaiah 26:14 and the condition of Israel’s enemies: “They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise:” Israel and her enemies are being directly contrasted and compared.
The Hebrew for “arise” has a variety of OT meanings:

I have never heard of Isaiah 26:19-20 being used as a proof text for the rapture. Interesting.
Actually, all of Israel that remains–all Israel that calls upon the name of the Lord, the Messiah. Zechariah 13:8-9 tells us that before this happens, God cuts off two thirds of Israel for unbelief. Referring to the “house of David and all of the inhabitants of Jerusalem”:
“And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.”
And God will finally have a people worthy of His Name. Isaiah 59:20 concurs:
“And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord.”
2 THE SWORD
Yes! Interesting point. As I said, the word used can either mean a literal sword or a figurative sword of retribution and is the same word used in Matthew 10:34 and Revelation 6:4 and Hebrews 4:12 (the sharp two-edged sword).

I hear you. I struggled with this for a long, long, long time. A great many discussions and study were devoted to this topic. There was ample evidence that they were not, but I just could not put the two into their proper order. I prayed for months and months and–nothing.
There are a number of points against the whore and Babylon the Great being the same entity.
1- “Whore,” when used by God always had a very specific spiritual connotation having to do with idolatry and spiritual fornication (chasing after other gods).
2- Babylon is a great end times country described in more than two dozen places (specifically Rev 17 and 18 and Jeremiah 50 and 51.
3- The whore and Babylon the Great are very much intertwined–which was part of the reason it was so hard to separate them. The whore will arise from Babylon the Great. It will spiritually represent Babylon the Great, if you will. The whore is a religious system. The second beast (as well as the first beast) were always described as the antichrist and the false prophet. But the beasts themselves are referred to as systems of governance. The word used for “beast” in Revelation 13 is never used to refer to a man anywhere in the Bible.
But I’m getting ahead of myself.
For a long while, I thought the second beast was the whore. But the system is what the whore uses to ascend to power, not the whore herself. Else why would she be shown riding the beast?
“Compare 17:2, 6, and 18 with 18:3, 8, and 24.”
This is very good–particularly 17:2 and 18:3. This definitely will require more prayer and study!
I suppose this would be a good place to ask why do you suppose the angel in 18:2 announces twice that Babylon the Great is fallen, is fallen? There is one other place [Revelation 14:8] where it is announced twice. Why do you suppose that is?
Revelation 17:7 clearly says that the whore and the beast are two separate entities.
“And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.”

The son of perdition does go into perdition. However, the beast has yet to be shown to be that son of perdition.
Well, the first beast is described as having the heads and the crowns. Will the antichrist look like this?
If there is a guy called the antichrist–and my jury is still out–he would have to be the “mouth” given to the beast in Rev 13:5. Doesn’t anyone consider that strange or worthy of comment? That the beast would be given a ‘mouth’? When the three frogs (devils) of Rev 16 appear, it specifically says that one comes from the mouth of the beast.
Daniel also talks of the little horn having a mouth speaking great things.
But the mouth could also be the false prophet?!!?
Now, I know the beast and the false prophets are thrown into the lake of fire in Rev 19. This was always taught–until our present time–to mean the servants of the beast system (which was usually identified as Rome and that’s still a possibility).
Again: you are 100% correct: the son of perdition will go into perdition.
And who is the “man of sin?”
“There are two sets of kings: 7 (world leaders, heads of cultural mountains, “kings of the earth”) and 10.
There are two sets of kings. One set of kings is historical however (the seven).
“And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.”
So the first five are fallen, the sixth exists at the moment the angel is speaking to John and the seventh is yet to come.
“And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.”
So the beast is the eighth and is of the seven.
What do you suppose that means? [Rev 17:10-11]

A: Repeating “is fallen” in Rev. 18:2 doesn’t imply two cities. What do you know about Hebrew poetry and narrative? Repetition is a common literary device in the Bible. It’s used to get a person’s attention (Jacob, Jacob; verily, verily) or show that the “thing is established by God and God will shortly bring it to pass” (Genesis 41:32). Are there two Jacobs, two truths, or two famines? No. So also there is one city, Babylon, and one divine judgment.

I wasn’t implying there were two cities. I don’t know. I was just interested in your take. There have been different opinions and speculations over the years.
One commentator speculates it may mean a spiritual and physical fall; another, that of pagan Rome and papal Rome. Several comment that it is repeated for emphasis.

Yes, thank you, I am aware of the Hebrew device of repetition. Is there any reason to believe that is what is being employed here–especially since Revelation is written in Greek? (Although it could be a direct reference to Isaiah 21:9.)
At one time, I had everything digested and in its place according to the modern American way of teaching eschatology. But I noticed there were a lot of errors and questions.
It was a lot easier when I was sure of everything because of what I had been taught.
I’m still studying 18:3 and 17:2.

Thanks for the reply. There’s so much repetition – people, phrases, things, events – in Revelation alone that I assume the same is true here (14:8, 18:2). The context of Rev 14:8 is three angels warning people about divine judgment. They’re telling them what will happen to Babylon and those who take the beast’s mark. Besides, Revelation isn’t wholly chronological. I think it moves, or is told, in circles while the main story is linear. History is both cyclical and linear. You know, there is a lot of repetition. And 14:8 and 18:2 may be referring to Isaiah 21:9. (Jeremiah 51:8 also speaks of “Babylon is…falling” and in a present prophetic (future) tense. I’m not sure (haven’t looked into it) if Isaiah 21:9 is future or not. It appears to be speaking of Babylon past, but as I said, I have to look into it. (Boy, it probably sounds like I am not positive about anything, huh?)
You are 100% correct on the non-chronological aspect of Revelation. It’s roughly chronological but then “zooms in for a closer look” (another Hebrew device). I kept trying to put the events in order and had them almost in order when I stumbled across a video about 4 months ago that really did a great job of arranging the events of the seals, trumpets and bowls in order.

Jeremiah and Isaiah: interesting! I don’t think Babylon existed politically in Isaiah’s time.

Well, Babylon actually predated Isaiah–who was a contemporary of Jonah–by about 1200-1500 years. You might be thinking of the 2nd Babylonian empire. Isaiah existed before the end of the second go-around of Babylon as an independent empire (Neo-Babylonian Empire) by about 200 years.
The first Babylon was famous for Hammurabi. The second Babylonian empire was famous for Nebuchadnezzar. The first Babylonian Empire was famous for the Tower of Babel, the second for the carrying off Judah, the destruction of Jerusalem and the writing on the wall.
Many scholars(?) put the tower of Babel in the second empire and then try to explain away the many problems with doing this. The Bible puts the tower in the first empire (after the flood) and there are no questions or problems.
Moral: trust the Bible, not man.

About mountains / high places…
God lives on a mountain, Zion (Psalm 48:1-2, Isaiah 2:2-3, Revelation 21:10). Good stuff happened on mountains: Carmel, Hermon, Olives, Moriah, Sinai, etc. God gives us hinds’ feet and teaches us to ride the high places (Deuteronomy 32:13, Psalm 18:33, Habakkuk 3:19). God on the mountains is also God in the valleys (1 Kings 20:28). The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof (Psalm 24:1). He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. Spiritually, mountains and high places aren’t bad! Satan just uses them for evil purposes.

Well, God does have His holy mountain.
And there have been good things occur on mountains.
And he does own the cattle on a thousand hills (one of my favorites)!
But the “high places” were the places the pagan Canaanites sacrificed to idols. It was also one of the chief places whorish Israel sacrificed to idols also. (Groves were also used.)
Deuteronomy 32:13 does speak about “ride the high places.” But in context, what is the story of Deuteronomy 32? Just two verses later, God is very unhappy.
“But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation. They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger. They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.”
–Deuteronomy 32:15-17
Let me see if I can find God warning of the high places (and it is true that we rest on the mountain, as God refines us and molds us in the valley.) The warnings and pronouncements on high places are many.
Yes, the Israelites did use high places when they were faithful to God. But it was always the apostate whorish Israelites who used those high places for idol worship. Numbers 33:52 is a good example. God didn’t command the Israelites to convert the heathen high places to worship Him. He commanded them to DESTROY them–as He always did. Leviticus 26:30 is another: God is none too pleased with high places.
Solomon established idol worship in the high places. For that, the kingdom was taken from him. [1 Kings 11:11]
Ephesians 6:12 (the only mention in the NT of high places) specifically warns us against whom Christians struggle.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Micah 1:3 “For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.”
Micah 1:5 “For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?”
Hosea 10:8 “The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.”
Ezekiel 43:7 “And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high places.”
Jeremiah 32:35 is another good example. High places are more likely to be associated with idolatry and whorish behavior of God’s people. Which is one of the reasons the full meaning of “mountains” in Revelation 17:9 was so interesting I thought. The whore sits on seven mountains. IHOP is talking about taking over those seven mountains of culture. The mountains are high places–and the whore church will use her seven mountains as high places, not for God and Jesus, but for their other Jesus (the name of which is always on their lips). That other Jesus, their counterfeit god are idols.
God created everything. In a perfect world, all high places would be God’s. But we live in a fallen world and the history of God’s people is a history of God’s people setting up idols in the places that should be reserved for God.
That’s one reason I think Revelation 17:9 is so interesting. It will be that way clear to the end. When Jesus returns, all the high places will be used for God.
