Bad fruit comes from a corrupt tree

“For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.”
—Luke 6:43-44

With the pope’s visit to America this coming week (A Changing American Church Awaits Visit From Pope Francis), there has been no end to the emails which warn of the “antichrist” pope Francis.

The emails are from various Protestant organizations.

Some quote the fire-eating Protestant Ian Paisley, who portrayed himself as a public enemy of the Vatican.

But Paisley used his religion as a stepping stone to earthly power: he was at least as much involved in the politics of this world as he ever was his religion. Paisley was the leader of a political party, a member of the European Parliament and died a Lord Temporal.

HOWEVER, Make no mistake: the pope leads a false religion which has spent hundreds of years bringing reproach to the name of Jesus Christ.

That being said, from where did the Protestants come?

That’s right: the Protestants sprung from the bosom of Rome.

Famed Reformer, Martin Luther, (and the founder of Protestantism) was a Roman Catholic priest.

So can good fruit come from a bad tree?

Not if one believes the Bible.

“Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.”
—Matthew 7:16-17

A corrupt tree can only bring forth evil fruit.

And so, whenever the modern, obviously-evil offshoots of the Protestant churches make the news, consider it bad fruit from a corrupt tree: the Roman Catholic Church.

There’s a phrase for the endless corrupt churches from the corrupt tree of Rome which have popped up like mushrooms after a rain: controlled opposition.

Protestantism was just another in a long, long line of controlled opposition groups set up by the mystery of iniquity to in order to control those who opposed the hollowing-out of the Christian Church from within.

The rank apostasy in the churches today is a direct result of this corruption from within.

Do not be deceived: Good fruit does not come from a corrupt tree.

Ever wonder why the churches refuse to preach the gospel?

Good fruit cannot come from a corrupt tree.
