SECRET HISTORY: Originally, secret histories were designed as non-fictional, revealing or claiming to reveal the truth behind the “spin”: one such example is the Secret History of the Mongols. Secret histories can range from standard historical revisionism with proper critical reexamination of historical facts to negative historical revisionism wherein facts are deliberately omitted, suppressed or distorted.

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:”
2 Thessalonians 2:7

1122Pope Callixtus II and Holy Roman Emperor Henry V agree to the Concordat of Worms to put an end to the Investiture Controversy.

The Investiture Controversy had to do with who would name various high church officials: the pope or the emperor.

It differentiated between the royal and spiritual powers and gave the emperors a limited role in selecting bishops. The outcome seemed mostly a victory for the pope and his claim that he was God’s chief representative in the world.

It is a claim (that the pope is God’s chief representative in the world) the popes have continued to make up to our present day. The pope will have a significant role to play as the end times are revealed.

However, it will not be as God Almighty’s chief representative.

1568Spanish naval forces rout an English fleet, under the command of John Hawkins, at the Battle of San Juan de Ulúa near Veracruz.

The Spanish had precious few naval victories over the British. This was one which occurred 20 years before the disaster of the Spanish Armada.

1641The Merchant Royal, carrying a treasure worth over a billion US dollars, is lost at sea off Land’s End.

1642First commencement exercises occur at Harvard College.

1780American Revolution: British Major John André is arrested as a spy by American soldiers exposing Benedict Arnold‘s change of sides.

While André was hanged as a spy, Arnold’s later life in England was not a particularly pleasant one.

1889Nintendo Koppai (Later Nintendo Company, Limited) is founded by Fusajiro Yamauchi to produce and market the playing card game Hanafuda.

1932The Kingdom of Hejaz and Nejd is renamed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Kingdom of the Sauds has been an American client state since before it’s founding.

1938Mobilization of the Czechoslovak army in response to the Munich Crisis.

Though it is portrayed as the Western democracies “selling out” Czechoslovakia (and it was), the capitulation at the Munich Conference (the ‘solution’ to the ‘crisis’) made World War II not only possible but ensured that it would be a long and bloody war.

The Munich Agreement made little sense to any of the parties involved–unless one understands that what is written about history is mainly falsehoods.

History is more or less bunk.”
–Henry Ford

Many have tried to apologize for Ford’s quote, claiming it has been taken out of context. Some would maintain that Ford had it exactly right and anything he said after the famous first sentence was an attempt to explain away the cat he had just let out of its bag.

1999Celebrate Bisexuality Day was first observed in the United States.

It didn’t start with gay marriage.

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;”
2 Timothy 3:1-2,4

THE GOSPEL

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
