Signs of the End Times: Some Fakes and One True Sign

END TIMES: Observations and Questions
END TIMES: Signs of the End Times

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.”
2 Peter 2:1-2

Lots of people have questions about the end times.

“Are we living in the end times?”

“How can I know for sure?”

“What are some of the signs?”

FAKE SIGNS OF THE END TIMES

Naturally, the dragon (Satan) takes advantage of this curiosity. A great many articles offered by apostate writers go by the title of “End Times Signs” or something similarly worded.

Those articles offer the reader not Biblical truths, but the same-old same-old manufactured ‘signs’ from the Modern American Prophecy Industry

One such article, after claiming to reveal five signs of the end times, offered  “forest fires” and “bird flu” and “starving sea lions” (along with the usual “rebuilt temple in Jerusalem” and “The mark of the beast is a microchip!“)

One popular ‘sign’ popular in the churches: “the great falling away.” The apostate churches claim that falling church attendance is evidence of 2 Thessalonians 2:3.

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;”

Set aside the fact that falling church attendance may be nothing more than people seeing the apostate churches for what they really are: Satan’s own little network of bored-certified, certificate-wielding, gospel-abhoring, antichrist Christian counterfeits.

The word translated as “falling away” is apostasia. Mass media concordances NOW show that this word means “apostasy, defection or revolt.”

But apostasia carries heavy overtones of “revolt.” In fact, many standard dictionaries will reveal that the meaning of the Greek word, apostasia, IS “revolt.”

Middle English apostasie, from Late Latin apostasia, from Greek, literally, revolt, from aphistasthai to revolt

So, the “falling away” is not Mr. Smith failing to show up at the Friendly Neighborhood Coffee Shop and Church on Sunday. The “falling away” is a full-fledged revolt against God Almighty and His Anointed, Jesus Christ.

“The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.”
Psalm 2:2-3

Psalm 2 might explain why one of the popular ‘praise and worship’ songs in the apostate churches is “Break Every Chain.” Some congregations sing the refrain (“Break every chain“) over and over and…

This revolt against God will mean that the churches will be PACKED TO THE RAFTERS with sight-walkers attracted by the signs and lying wonders of the dragon and his man of sin.

As stated, it will all LOOK like Christianity.

BUT it really is a great revolt against God and Jesus Christ.

This revolt will LOOK like people are rushing to God. But Satan (being the tricky fellow that he is), deceives man into believing his revolt against God is actually worship of God.

Satan’s churches LOOK like Christianity, but they speak like Satan (which is why one will not hear the gospel ever preached in the churches).

“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.”
Revelation 13:11

This is one reason the antichrist churches keep claiming there will be an end times revival (which the Bible is totally silent about): so they can point to the people crowding into the churches as “revival.”

And to the lost, it WILL look like a revival.

However, it will all be pep rallies for Satan and the man of sin.

ONE TRUE SIGN

Which brings about one true sign of the end times contained in 2 Timothy 3:1-5.

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

This was a warning about the apostate churches and their sneaky, counterfeit ways. They will have a “form of godliness” but deny the power of God.

And what is the power of God?

Romans 1:16 supplies the answer.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

The apostates and counterfeits offer the lost everything but the kitchen sink: sinner’s prayers, talk about the gospel, altar calls, Roman roads, ABCs of salvation, whatever.

Everything BUT the gospel.

Which God’s Word declares is “the power of God unto salvation.

And that’s one sign of the end times: a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God unto salvation.

Do you want to experience the true power of God?

Share the gospel.

Not the dragon-manufactured substitutes popular in the counterfeit churches.

THE GOSPEL

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”
-—1 Corinthians 1:18-19
