GLORIFYING EVIL AND THE DEMONIC

In the end times, the occult and the demonic will be exalted.

If the past and present are any indications, little of this exaltation will be of “demons” per se. Most of this worship will take place using a number of NEW names; a rebranding to get around the squeamishness many people feel about the demonic.

It’s a sign of the times that during the average week, more conversations are struck up with witches, pagans, sorcerers, and  “consulters with familiar spirits” than with Christians.

Yes, we are certainly in the end times. It matters little whether the person in the discussion is a witch, a church-goer or a real Christian: there’s almost universal agreement on this point.

THE CULTURALLY-PROMOTED OCCULT

This is one more piece in the relentless campaign waged by Big Media, Big Entertainment and the churches to glorify sorcerers, wizards, witches and the occult in general.

Beside John Dee (an occult magician and writer who was a close adviser to Queen Elizabeth I and who signed his letters to Elizabeth “007“), there’s been the Harry Potter propaganda, The Chronicles of Narnia and the exaltation of Gandalf (Lord of the Rings).

Lord of the Rings is a particularly occult blend, which strongly influenced the heavily-occult Dungeons and Dragons craze.

Lord of the Rings glorifies all of the incarnations of demons: elves (the elf cross, a sign which supposedly protects against malevolent elves, just happens to be a pentagram), fairies, dwarfs, trolls, and others; as well as witches, wizards and other consulters of familiar spirits.

There are other promoters of the dark paths as well, particularly in the dreary, occult world of video games.

“There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD”

John Dee gained his fame because of the power he wielded due to his contact with demons. Although this is usually left unsaid when such men are promoted to the masses, it’s easy enough to discern by reading between (and behind) the lines.

In the linked piece, this isn’t even necessary: Dee’s various conversations, interactions and employment of the demonic is plainly recorded.

THE EVERYDAY DEMONIC

It is the end times and pretenders are everywhere.

All one has to do is visit the many websites professing to be Christian. A great number of them prominently feature occult imagery and teachings. They are a snare to the unwary.

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.”
–2 Peter 2:1

On the so-called Christian TV networks and in the churches, there are other spirits at work other than the Holy Spirit.

COUNTERFEIT HOLY SPIRIT: Lying Spirits of Deception in the Churches

Many in the churches hunger for signs and wonders;  Many look for a “move of God” or a “move of the Spirit.”

These are invitations for deceiving spirits.

Believers have been warned to beware.

“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”
–2 Corinthians 11:13-15

One of the biggest demographic components of the apostate churches has to be “those who say they are ex-witches and ex-wizards but are still witches and wizards.”

Almost universally, these are nice folks. A Christian is not to judge motives, so it matters little why they feel they must pretend to be something they clearly are not. They give themselves away in dozens of ways, too numerous to mention.

One acquaintance from a local Bible college professed to be an ex-witch. Yet, one day he admitted he still had his tarot cards and other occult paraphernalia.

One can almost sympathize: having no experience with real Christianity, they become part of the lifeless, powerless counterfeit churches.

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof”
–2 Timothy 3:1-2,5

Because of this, they have no experience with the dunamis of the Living God, preferring to cling to the trinkets, parlor tricks and flattery of their familiar.

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron”
–1 Timothy 4:1-2

Having no faith, they are forced to rely on what can be experienced by the power of a familiar spirit. Such spirits are judgments from God.

However, those who walk in disobedience cling to this judgment, being loath to forsake it. In this way, God demonstrates his complete power of judgment AND fairness: by obeying God’s Word, the person could relieve the judgment of God at any time.

But most choose to continue to walk in disobedience, continuing in judgment–and God allows this: giving the foolish, lost and wicked what they think they want.

We’re commanded to pray for such as these.

The Christian path is narrow and FEW find it. There’s many reasons for this. One of the reasons: unlike demons, God will not give signs to unbelievers.

“Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.”
–John 4:48

“A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.”
–Matthew 16:4

However, once a person walks with God, the LORD lovingly provides substantial evidence to back up His Word.

Make no mistake: the believer is REQUIRED to first have faith–and faith is the evidence of things not seen. But the LORD provides help at every step along the hard, narrow path.

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”
–1 John 4:1

The unbeliever first requires a sign to have faith and none will be provided.

The believer first has faith and requires no sign but signs are provided because of his faith.

We are living in the end times. The exaltation of the satanic and demonic will grow worse, not better. The whole world will fall under Satan’s spell.

“that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world”
–Revelation 12:9

This includes the apostate churches and all those who trust in them.

“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast…And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
–Revelation 13:4,8

It won’t get any easier.
