CARE OF THE ROADS – For better or for worse, many judge how bad the weather is by the condition of the highways and roads they travel–particularly in the winter months.
Perhaps that is why it has been noticed that government highway departments are doing much less to care for the roads during the winter–at least according to this writer’s observations.
Those who run this present world will never run out of reasons why they do something and this situation is no different. What is different is the number of citizens who make excuses for the roads being left unattended.
Roads covered for 36 hours with an inch or two of snow?
The following was a real conversation from earlier this week.
“The roads have 2 inches of snow on them. They haven’t even been scraped for a day and a half.”
“There wasn’t any school this morning.”
“But school wasn’t cancelled until a few hours ago.”
“They’re waiting for it to stop snowing.”
“But it hasn’t snowed in almost 24 hours.”
“People don’t know how to drive in the snow.”
Many use road conditions as a sort of shorthand for weather.
Roads bad = weather bad.
And the masses are being indoctrinated daily that ALL WEATHER = EXTREME WEATHER.
DOES the reader believe what he is told–even if it concerns the weather?
THERE is still time to change direction (repent) and place one’s trust in Almighty God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
