False Teachers need False Students

WOLVES IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING

False Teachers Require False, Deceived Students

“Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.”
Jeremiah 7:16 – (h/t:B)

The Bible is full of examples of the judgment of God.  Yes, God is love and God is mercy.  But God is also the Perfect Judge and once His judgment is final, there’s no longer any mercy.  This should be a sobering thought to all of the false teachers who promote the New Age Christ, Buddy Jesus the Love God and all of the other antichrist doctrines which have wormed their way into the American Church.

This should also be a sobering thought to all who follow such wolves and false teachers.

Wolves in the church are more dangerous than two dozen satanists holding dozens of rituals. Wolves in the church are more destructive than fifteen atheists pooling their money at Christmas to erect a mocking billboard.

But wolves and false teachers need students.  If those inhabiting the churches read and obeyed their Bibles, the wolves would be recognized. False teachers without students might pursue another less destructive line of work–like dealing drugs. In the times in which we live, the Church features many wolves and many false teachers.

However, the number of “false students” is legion.

All of these are deceived, some willfully so.  As only God knows the heart, it is not the duty of the Christian to sort them.  Jesus spoke about the tares among the wheat. Later, John elaborated on these false ones.

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
1 John 2:18-19

The land is full of these false ones in search of wolves and the false teachers to  tickle their ears.  Obligingly, the land is full of wolves and false teachers.

The scripture makes clear that there ARE wolves in sheep’s clothing out there who call to the Lord’s sheep. But it ALSO makes clear that those who are TRULY His sheep know and can distinguish His voice. When the sheep start listening to and following the wolves, unable to know the difference, it is as much an indictment of the sheep’s spiritual condition as of the wolves.
The Indictment of Certain Sheep

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.”
John 10:27,5

Some wolves and false teachers teach completely contrary to the Word of God, justifying such things by claiming “God is doing a new thing.”

Others are more subtle: compromise with the world is their weapon of choice.

Others are more subtle still.

There is a tendency to mark the wolves and false teachers (which we should absolutely do) and to let the false students (those who do not know the voice of the Good Shepherd) escape notice.

False students, these false ones, these tares, UNLESS THEY REPENT, will face a certain judgment. The same judgment as their deceiving teachers.

Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
Matthew 15:14

God has spoken through His Word and given warning.  All those who follow after false teachers: take heed!  God is not mocked: judgment is not a “maybe;” judgment is a certainty.

When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.  But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.”
Luke 13:25-27

  1. A much needed teaching. False teachers are all around us and sadly there seems to be many professing Christians that fall into the trap of error they have laid. As God’s children may we have our eyes opened to the truth thereby recognizing error, expose the error and turn from it!

    Lord bless you.
