5 Great Sins of the End Times: FORNICATION

5 Great Sins of the End Times

“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”
Revelation 9:20-21

The climax of human history will be an extremely dark and evil time. For 3 1/2 years, as God will allows man full reign to his “humanity,” sin and wickedness will prevail over the entire earth. During this time, man will be left largely to his own devices.

Until Jesus returns to right things.

ALL sin will be evident during this 42-month period, but the Bible declares that wicked men will cling to five sins in particular.

Those five great end times sins of which man refuses to repent (even after being smitten with repeated judgments of God) are

  1. Idolatry
  2. murders
  3. sorceries
  4. fornication
  5. thefts

This article addresses FORNICATION, one of the end times’ FIVE GREAT SINS (according to Revelation 9:20-21).

FORNICATION

fornication-ID-10088422-digitalart-FDPWhat exactly is fornication?

It usually refers to any sexual activity outside of biblical one-man one-woman marriage.

A more concise definition of fornication follows.

In Biblical usage, ‘fornication’ can mean any sexual congress outside monogamous marriage. It thus includes not only premarital sex, but also adultery, homosexual acts, incest, remarriage after un-Biblical divorce, and sexual acts with animals, all of which are explicitly forbidden in the law as given through Moses (Leviticus 20:10-21). Christ expanded the prohibition against adultery to include even sexual lusting (Matthew 5:28).”

Modern man has come up with a many, many ways to avoid saying “fornication.

  • Living together
  • Shacking up
  • Relationship
  • Action
  • Hooking up
  • Getting it on

These are only but a few of the many euphemisms for fornication.

There are hundreds.

Fornication (under its many names) surrounds modern man, especially in his “entertainment” and “culture.”

The Bible declares that men will not repent of their fornication. This is most likely (at least partly) because men have not been taught that there is anything wrong with fornication.

The world has spent many years and many resources to teach men that fornication is “natural” and “healthy.” Sometimes, it is taught that that it is a “right” and part of a person’s “freedom.”

Rarely is it taught as God’s Word declares: a sin leading to death and destruction.

God’s Word knows sex is a powerful urge: it’s advice to any who are faced with the temptation of fornication?

RUN!

“Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.”
1 Corinthians 6:18

FORNICATION is one of the five great sins of the end times from which men will not repent–even when faced with the many judgments of God.

Do not be deceived.

Change your direction in life: repent today.

THE GOSPEL

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16

[NOTE: The reader should not confuse sex within marriage with fornication. God created man, woman and sex and said “It is very good.”[
