False Prophets: Forerunners of the False Christs

END TIMES WARNING: Beware False Prophets, False Teachers, False Christs
END TIMES WARNING: Beware False Prophets, False Teachers, False Christs

“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”
–Matthew 24:11

FALSE PROPHETS: SETTING SNARES, PREPARING MEN FOR THE MAN OF SIN

FORERUNNER: noun fore·run·ner \ˈfȯr-ˌrə-nər\
1 someone or something that comes before another;
2 a sign of something that is going to happen

John the Baptist prepared the way for the Messiah, Jesus Christ.

“As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.”
–Mark 1:2-3

“In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.”
–Matthew 3:1-3

In a like manner, false prophets will go forth and prepare the world for the man of sin: the false messiah, the false Christ.

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets”
–Matthew 24:24

The reader can know that the climax of human history is near by the number of false prophets which have appeared. The Internet is full of websites of men and women claiming to speak for God and issuing false predictions.

Seemingly, they are everywhere: making false predictions, blaspheming Jesus Christ, teaching worldly traditions of men and doctrines of devils as the Word of God.

False prophets are on TV, in the churches and on the Internet.

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.”
–2Peter 2:1

How many false prophets will there be?

God’s Word records Jesus as warning of “many.”

Beware false prophets!

All those who follow such wolves will end up in the same place as the false prophets themselves.

“Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”
–Matthew 15:14

The Bible has been warning Christians of false prophets for the last 2000 years. So how can men believe false prophets after all of the warnings?

Because 1) men do not believe the Bible; 2) men trust themselves; 3) many men prefer to believe lies; 4) men put their faith in other men from the counterfeit apostate churches; and, 5) false prophets smile, act nice and pretend to know the Bible.

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;”
–1Timothy 4:1-2

Beware of false prophets!

The appearance of many false prophets should alert the reader as to the times in which we live.

Many false prophets are the forerunners of the false Christ, who is soon to make an appearance.

Both will deceive many and will look very much like real prophets and the real Jesus Christ.

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
–Matthew 7:15

Is the reader following a false prophet?

Does he like his ears tickled by the excitement of the “inside information” the false prophet promises his followers?

It’s not too late repent, to turn away, to instead follow Jesus Christ.

Tender Mercies of the Lord: Will Not Always Be Available

Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation

“But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
John 20:31

THE GOSPEL

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16

“Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.”
–Proverbs 26:12
