End Times Theft: Observations

THEFT!

“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”
–Revelation 9:20-21

A few observations taken from several discussions, held over the past several months, on the topic of end times theft.

1 – The world will never run out of men who take what others have acquired.

2 – Such men usually have excuses as to why they deserve another’s property more than the person who owns it.

3 – Many have noticed the amount of theft increasing in their personal lives. Many of these people have made comments about the amount of theft which goes on AND/OR the amount or types of theft which personally affect them.

4 – Several have made comments on the increase in “shortchanging” by cashiers at checkout counters. While it was agreed that mistakes can be made, IF a cashier just hands back change without counting it to the customer, there a fairly good chance a deliberate shortchange has taken place–and a shortchange is theft.

5 – The Bible not only declares theft will be rampant, it also declares that man will NOT repent (change his mind; change his direction) of this behavior.

This is not hard to imagine. Many seem to feel that they are entitled to steal from the government (on their tax returns) OR from their employers (stealing tools and equipment). There are those who insist that such theft is “not really stealing.”

Some insist that stealing is EXPECTED.

Hotels know people are going to take their towels, that’s why they buy extras!

Perhaps such people really do not believe they are doing anything wrong.

It is not so hard to imagine these people stealing from individuals instead of government or work, is it?

Perhaps the reader himself knows of such people.

In any case, it is not difficult to imagine they will NOT stop such behavior in the end times.

To such people, theft appears to be thought of as just another tool to help “make ends meet.”

Unrepentant THEFT is one sign of the end times.

Has the reader noticed any increases in such behavior in his own life?

Perhaps the reader engages in petty theft–so long as it “isn’t hurting anybody“?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
