The True Human Condition

human condition

What IS the “human condition“?

human condition:

[T]he characteristics, key events, and situations which compose the essentials of human existence, such as birth, growth, emotionality, aspiration, conflict, and mortality.

human condition:

What it means to be human; the experiences, characteristics, and limitations of life shared by all humans, as opposed to other lifeforms.

According to the dictionary, the “human condition” is all of those things peculiar to being a human.  Which makes the “human condition” a prime arena for narratives and stories.

IF one defines being a human as those things which are wicked, THEN wickedness becomes the normal state of affairs.

IF one defines being a human as those things which are good, THEN goodness becomes the normal state of affairs.

Therefore, the world tells a great many tales about the “human condition.”

Mostly, the world’s tales about the “human condition” focus on how important it is to focus on worldly things.

Money, real estate, satisfying the appetites of the flesh, clawing and scratching after the honors and acclaim of the world, wealth: according to the world, these worldly things make up the bulk of the “human condition.”

As the world’s storytellers often put it: “It’s what separates us from the animals.”

One other aspect the world focuses on when promoting the “human condition“: this wisp of a life.

“You have to make the most of the time you have here on earth!”

“Time is the most important part of your life!”

“Don’t waste time–you only have so much of it!”

And so, the world concentrates on (and those who live in the world eventually succumb to the constantly-repeating stories) the EXPERIENCES, the JOY and the HOPES AND DREAMS of THIS PRESENT LIFE.

Short as that present life may be.

Now, in case the reader is interested, the TRUE, REAL “human condition” is hereby presented.

The REAL, TRUE “human condition” is that man is born into this life.

And this life is ONLY a test; a trial; a dry run.

Th reader is born into this test period for primarily ONE reason: to determine where each individual will spend the rest of eternity.

Short, sweet: case closed.

“But what about the hopes, the dreams, the aspirations, the striving of man to overcome his lowly, primitive birth?”

EVERYTHING else the world offers up to each individual is only a distraction: a distraction put into place to test man to see if he REALLY wants to spend eternity with God.

OR, if he is only pretending; if he is only playing a part.

Why is this so?

Because God’s stated goal in creating man and the world which surrounds every man is to find a people who TRULY CHOOSE to worship God for eternity, so that they can be His people and He can be their God.

God is looking for His people.

“And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God.”
–Exodus 29:45

“That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God, as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.”
–Deuteronomy 29:13

“And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.”
–Leviticus 26:12

“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.”
–Revelation 21:3

“He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”
–Revelation 21:7

At one time, God established His covenant with the physical children of Israel. But after repeated transgressions, God made a better covenant and established that covenant with not only the obedient seed of Israel, but with ALL men who desired to be the children of God by righteousness.

“Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.”
–Romans 6-8

So then, the REAL, TRUE “human condition” is to forsake the world and the things of the world and to submit to God.

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”
–1JOHN 2:15-16

“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”
–James 4:4

The REAL, TRUE “human condition” is putting the things of the world in their proper place and passing the test that is this short wisp of a life.

The few who pass become children of God and will live with God in eternity.

The many who allow themselves to be entranced by the world and the things of the world become the children of disobedience and will live in torment forever.

The REAL, TRUE “human condition” is the STRUGGLE against the world in order to pass the test of this life.

Those who do not struggle against the world struggle against God–and so will lose the only struggle which counts.

And the reader may be assured: the world will do EVERYTHING it can to hinder the reader’s struggle against the world.

THIS is the REAL, TRUE “human condition.

…and now the reader knows.

ON WHAT part of the “human condition” does the reader concentrate?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
