False Christ Coming: Does Anybody Care? – A book by Warren B. Smith.
Many church leaders believe that Antichrist is alive and well in the world today. But what is being left out of the discussion is how this coming false “Christ” has already mainstreamed his New Age Gospel and New Spirituality into the world and into the church. Just as Hitler telegraphed his plans in Mein Kampf, so Antichrist has telegraphed his plans through his designated false teachers. Author Warren B. Smith is a former follower of this New Age “Christ.” False Christ Coming -Does Anybody Care? describes the deceptive teachings that undergird Antichrist’s deceptive Peace Plan. This book is a wake-up call to a church that remains strangely silent and in deep denial about the very deception that Jesus warned would come in His name (Matthew 24:3-5). Become aware of what’s happening, and then warn your friends and family (2 Corinthians 2:11).
Raise an alarm about practices which have crept in today’s church and one becomes known as “divisive” or offering “confusion.” People almost automatically think, “Don’t be silly. I’m not intending these practices to be occult (or New Age or gnostic), therefore nothing can be wrong with them, right? I’m okay, they’re okay.”
It’s imagined that these practices are sanctified because of who is participating in them–not because they are biblical. They originate not in God’s Word but in the fertile imaginations of man.
“Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.”

And yet, Christians love to enhance, to embellish, to elaborate, to enlarge upon, what is written in the Bible. If one isn’t careful, after a while, what is taught may slowly drift away from God’s Word. Extra-biblical material–funny stories, Jewish traditions, modern anecdotes–added to enhance, can eventually corrupt the meaning of scripture. We begin to judge whether a thing is so not by the Bible–but by our heart.

THE DEVIL’S DICHOTOMY
The enemy has many strands of deception. Many, many, many. Often, he will set up two, diametrically opposed doctrines. To avoid one, sometimes a person or church flees headlong to the other. The enemy is very subtle, very clever.
Mysticism arose in the American church–how many foresaw this as recently as the 1950s?–as a reaction to “dead liberal churches” which broke with the Bible and traditional Christianity. In America, these churches became centers of unbelief, attacking and compromising the validity of God’s Word, the nature of His Son and established Christian doctrine.
In reaction to this threat, a great many Christians eventually ended up on the other end of the spectrum with Charismania, mysticism and extra-biblical practices which threaten to engulf the church today.
In 2013, mysticism has become as big a problem to Evangelicals as liberal theology.
While not a fan of C.S. Lewis, he does express this idea of a devilish dichotomy fairly well.
“[The devil] always sends errors into the world in pairs – pairs of opposites. And he always encourages us to spend a lot of time thinking which is the worse. You see why, of course? He relies on your extra dislike of the one error to draw you gradually into the opposite one. But do not let us be fooled. We have to keep our eyes on the goal and go straight between both errors. We have no other concern than that with either of them.”

There is much that is good in hundreds of little churches scattered throughout the USA. However,while scanning the prophetic horizon for events on a man-made timeline, many watchmen haven’t recognized gnosticism and the New Age as it infiltrated their walls.
In the times in which we live, all churches are susceptible; to think one is impervious to deception is to be deceived already.
But we may draw comfort that we are joined to a great and loving Savior who promised the gates of hell shall not prevail against His church.
John MacArthur Swapping One Lie for Another – Closing Stages – An excellent article that dissects someone adding to God’s word (Luke 21:1-4) until it is completely opposite from the biblical meaning. The author must be an attorney in her day job because this is laid out clearly, logically, methodically and step-by-step.

Pope Francis is Catholic Church’s Obama – Interesting because the photo with the article shows pope with a “broken cross.” The broken cross was a centuries-old satanic symbol before its fairly recent deployment by the last several popes. Another famous symbol used by the popes is the upside down cross in their throne–which they attribute to Peter’s upside down crucifixion. However, if that is the case, why are none other of their crosses inverted? Why only in their throne, their “seat of power,” so to speak?

Pope Setting Up Commission on Clerical Child Abuse – When politicians or popes want to diffuse bad publicity, they automatically set up a commission or a “blue ribbon panel.” Then, they can refer any questions over the smoldering issue to “the commission.” The pubic will be told “Give the commission time to do their job.” The commission will tell the media, “We mustn’t say anything. We are ‘investigating.'”
Setting up a commission is treated as a solution to a problem, when it is merely quieting the publicity surrounding the problem.
The public is satisfied that something is being done, when in reality, nothing is being done.
