EGYPT: Four killed, scores wounded in clashes across Egypt – It’s mystifying why there should be “clashes” in Egypt at this present time. Remember how the media assured us that the evil Muslim Brotherhood was suppressing the Egyptians and that all of Egypt was turning out into the streets to protest the evil MB leader Morsi?
Well, Morsi’s gone and so is the MB–it’s hard to put a figure on how many have been gunned down in the streets–but still there are “clashes” in Egypt. Why isn’t the entire country exploding with the joy that can only be had by tossing out the Muslim Brotherhood? Time for another media narrative…

Federal Judge: NSA phone surveillance is Legal
The judge also referred often to the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, in which nearly 3,000 people died, and said broad counter-terrorism programs such as the NSA’s could help avoid a “horrific” repeat of those events.
So will this judge step down if the NSA phone surveillance fails to prevent another terror strike? Will he vacate his ruling if another 911 occurs? Will the NSA admit that phone surveillance of Americans failed?
No, the judge will not step down and will not change his ruling. What will happen after the next “terror attack” is that the government will clamp down even harder on Americans and the NSA will plead “We need even stricter laws to keep you safe!” Even though they did nothing to keep Americans safe up to this point.
It never ends. It never gets better. It only gets worse.

A visit to the website revealed “Connecting your Biblical worldview to your Wallet” and “The Consumer’s Guide to living faithfully in America.” Because shopping at Lowe’s is practically the same as witnessing to the lost!
Did you know Nike was a “faith-driven” company? [Nike: Evil Empire?]In fact, the website aimed many appeals at the “love of money.” But no gospel.
And prominently displayed are links to a Volunteer (“Make a difference”) page. To share the gospel? No, to share FDC (faithdrivenconsumer).
“Faith-driven.”
I think we can all agree that’s clearly what’s going on at this website.

A study of how older teenagers use social media has found that Facebook is “not just on the slide, it is basically dead and buried” and is being replaced by simpler social networks such as Twitter and Snapchat.
Young people now see the site as “uncool” and keep their profiles live purely to stay in touch with older relatives, among whom it remains popular.
But many of those “older relatives” joined FB in an effort to remain relevant to the youngsters: what now?
One suspects that Facebook will become like MySpace is today: still one of the busiest sites in the world (827th largest, which is VERY large) but largely relevant only in a niche way; e.g., FB will be liked as a hangout for the older crowd.

Weaning Evangelicals off the Word, part 3 – Covering the Emergent Church and its deceptive practices and beliefs. Why are young evangelicals attracted to Emergent churches? The Emergent Church–with its emphasis on Catholic-esque rituals and ceremonies–seems to be preparing a “spiritual” generation for something other than Christianity. But it looks and sounds a bit like Christianity, so it sucks in pew-sitting ADHD Christians.
Many there are who are ignorant and/or hungry for church. This is the largely the target group of the Emergent Church.

The 30 Best Quotes of 2013 – John Hawkins of Right Wing News does one thing extremely well: construct informative and amusing lists. This is praise, coming from a writer who is a list-constructer from way back.
It is suspected that this next quote was supposed to be a showcase for the tough, new conservative pragmatism of the USA’s latest political savior: Ted Cruz. Unwittingly, it exposes just a little slice of what the New World Order ruling class in Washington think about the peons back home.

Ted Cruz is being set up as a “different kind of US politician” for the 2016 election. But is he? Are any politicians really different? Every four years, Americans are promised shiny new political models–but, after Election Day, they somehow always get stuck with the same old wheezing clunkers.
Jimmy Carter, Clinton, Bush II and Obama all ran on the motto of “Change!” Americans did get “Change!”–but it wasn’t the kind they were promised; not the type they expected. In the USA, the reality of political “Change!” always means a monotonous sameness; a lockstep march further down the road of the New World Order, led by the puppets who make up the criminal cartel in The DC (Den of Corruption).
No matter how “Liberal” or “Conservative” our selected leaders have promised to be, there’s still that same unresponsiveness to middle-class American needs. And there’s that same buzzing drone from the controlled Corporate Media narratives explaining why things won’t be changing this time around–but there’s always hope for tomorrow!
To suggest this was the intended result of our system from the beginning is considered bad form. We’re taught to idolize our founders (Christians, take note of the “idol” part). We’re supposed to “suck it up,” overlook the repeated, planned failures and hope for the best for tomorrow.
This is not only unbiblical, given the the history of the last 26 years, it is unrealistic.
Hidden among the 30 quotes are a few which appear to be gems. Ever wonder why teens of previous generations didn’t commit suicide in response to being bullied?
24) There is no scientific evidence that bullying causes suicide. None at all. Lots of teenagers get bullied (between 1 in 4 and 1 in 3 teenagers report being bullied in real life, fewer report being bullied online). Very few commit suicide. Among the people who commit suicide, researchers have no good data on how many of them have been bullied.
It is journalistically irresponsible to claim that bullying leads to suicide. Even in specific cases where a teenager or child was bullied and subsequently commits suicide, it’s not accurate to imply the bullying was the direct and sole cause behind the suicide. — Kelly McBride

HEADS UP: Anyone who does not think that TV is not a vile, noxious medium needs to look at Mediaite. This is a big site which covers the media, particularly television. Cruising through their top five or six stories will give many readers a dirty feeling. And yet, there are still those who maintain that there is “good” in TV.
As far as television is concerned, there are only places the reader hasn’t yet discovered the evil and deception which permeates the medium.

DHS insider gives final warning: DHS and other organizations have become the private army of the Oval Office. – Only included because this particular “insider” has given this same “warning” how many times over the last several years?
This “insider’s” info is not to be believed. Once one determines that information is bogus or disinformation, nothing from that source should be disseminated. Of course, other considerations are likely to apply–namely, having “inside sources” brings in the gullible rube traffic. And there is a lot of that hanging out on the Internet in 2013.
