SEEN THE LAST WEEK: 2 OFF-BEAT AMERICAN FLAGS

During some recent travels, this writer happened upon two different versions of the American flag over the last week. The flags were flying at two different locations within four or five miles from each other.

An attempt to match them with lookalikes on the Internet didn’t yield much success.

Perhaps the reader can shed some light on what these two hybrid American flags are about? Are these common throughout the USA? Do they represent anything in particular?  What might that be?

Or is it just the time of the season for something unusual?

(Which can mean a lot of different things.)

  1. The first one is a hybrid of American and German flag. The second one just looks like some “cutesie” country-fied version of the flag with a barn star on it.
