Tares: Responding to the Word of God with Anger

Angry Counterfeits

“They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.”
–1John 4:5-6

ANGRY COUNTERFEITS

It has happened too many time to count.

A discussion is held with a person who professes Jesus. A scripture is brought up with which the person vehemently disagrees. Having no answer to scripture, the person professing Jesus then attacks the one quoting the Bible verse.

This usually takes place when scripture squashes an unbiblical, occasionally antichrist, teaching which is popular in the churches.

And so, another pretender is exposed.

God’s Word DOES NOT make believers angry. It DOES however, make pretenders angry.

Angry because they have no answer. Angry because they are fenced in and frustrated by something which they secretly hold in contempt.

Angry because they chafe at the restrictions placed upon them by God’s Word.

“Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:”
–Isaiah 30:1

Pretenders, tares, deceitful workers, false apostles, Satan’s ministers, sometimes witches, sometimes diviners: MOST get angry when they cannot answer the truth of God’s Word.

The more clever among them will feign dispassion– IGNORING the Word rather than get angry.

NONE will answer the Word of God because they cannot.

Believers be alert.

Believers be warned.

“Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.”
–Acts 20:30

All who smile are not your friends.

Does the Word of God make the reader angry?

Does the reader know of someone who gets angry when discussing the Word of God?

Does Jesus Christ make the reader angry?

There’s still time to rectify that situation.

Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation

THE GOSPEL

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
